Escape the Past

Scott smiled as she slept, "enjoying yourself?" he asked quietly. He decided to just cook some vegetables in the pot and hope for the best. He stuck carrots and potatoes in with some meat. He threw in a few spices and stirred it with a wooden spoon, he looked over his shoulder to where the girl slept and wondered what her story was.

"My name's Rachel," Rachel said and her green eyes locked on the man's, She looked quickly to Jay, then smiled at the man, "So, what's your name?" she asked pleasantly, trying to lead him away by the wrist. her eyes darted to Jay's then back to the man's ((don't worry I won't make it weird))

Scott looked at her, confused, but amused by her sudden personality switch, "Well, are you going to come help me make it?" he asked with a smile, "'Cause I stink at cooking." he laughed and walked inside the house. Looking around the kitchen, trying to find something to make food with.

"It's fine, c'mon." Rachel said and pushed through all the people and got to the door, "Alright, so who should go in first?" she asked. She wanted to get this girl out of whatever was happening to her. She could get through it.

"My favourite animal's an okapi," Claire smiled, "They're unique and aren't what they seem." she smiled, she loved drawing okapi. They were her thing, she sort of thought of them like her, unique and not what they seemed to be on the outside. She smiled, "And you?"

"Ah, I see." he said reassuringly, "I hope he gets better," Scott said, his eyes full of comfort. "Oh, sorry about that," he chuckled and came back down to the boulder and released the wind. It whirled around them then it was still again. "So, what do you want to eat?"

Rachel swatted away a drunk and started walking to the door, "Great, if the men are there I'll distract them you get the girl, then we get out of here.". Her bright red hair and tail obviously attracted major attention. She ignored all the half-drunk stares and tried to make her way to the door. A hand snaked around her wrist and she pushed it off. A man looked at her and whispered, "You're a cute one, aren't you." Rachel tried to ignore him and push through. The man stared after them, "Sorry, about that." Rachel said quietly.

Claire smiled, "Thanks, so have you been here your whole high school...life, errr you know what I mean." she asked. She liked how Leah tried to make her feel at ease. She slowly started allowing herself to come out more.
