Rebuilding the world

Candi looked to Caoro then closed her eyes, "OK...I'm not going to question it as long as you're ok." She smiled, confused, but relieved, "So, how is the progress on the playground?"

The Academy

"As for our other jobs, we pretty much fix up anything that's wrong in the actual buildings on campus and we have to welcome new students and keep the records of everyone straight." She looked at her watch, "Well, I think classes start soon, so why don't we head over to the main building?"

Kami nods, with none of her usual smugness, or even a sense of satisfaction. You aren't entirely sure what she thinks of your choice, but you see the leaders of Hope approaching, their own bodyguards dwarfed by Kami's personal army, and they're forced to nervously prostrate themselves in front of her platform. Negotiations are opened, and you can practically see Kami slowly taking over their minds, as they become more and more complacent. The same thing would soon happen to every major government faction in the world.

Moonbeam watched the display happen and closed her eyes, feeling Kami everywhere. She gently nudged Kami's presence in her own mind, not forcefully, but as if asking permission. She did not want to upset Kami, but felt uneasy with another person in her mind.

The Academy

Addilyn took hers and did the instructions immediately. "OK so since we are in charge of supplies how will we do it? Is it already in sections or are we doing it all?" She was OK with the work but wasn't sure how.

"We unload the trucks onto these," Candi pointed to rows of golf-cart type vehicles with backs to carry things on, "And bring them to where they're supposed to go. Pretty simple. All the boxes have a label for where they need to go," any more questions?

Moonbeam closed her eyes, this would decide what her life would be. Would she want to live in fear of Kami, or possibly, maybe be her friend? Moonbeam looked up at Kami, she was the only one who might be able to teach her. Besides, who would she miss if she left? No one ever took the time to know her. She knew it would be wrong, to side with Kami, but maybe she could work things out? Maybe it wasn't so bad, besides what had anyone done to her but ignore her? She thought back to the group in the tower and her mind wrestled with itself. She didn't want to hurt them, but she didn't even know them. She finally looked up at Kami, "I choose you." she said softly, hoping she made the right choice, deep down though, she felt guilt

"The sky over the sea." Claire explained. The puffy white clouds drifted over the open sea, leaving shadows under where they floated. The waves crested with white foam, but not totally finished, "I've been working on it this week, and do you need help?" Claire laughed and got paper towels.
