Thank you for clearing that up then. I assumed the whole thing about them showing forced empathy meant they had to be pretty much in agreement to everything :P
Now that things have already been cleared up I'd like to share my idea because it kind of speaks contrary to your description of the bonding process in a way. When I saw the description of the Golden Dragon I immediately thought of having a stark contrast between the drake and the tamer. This idea came before I read about the bonding process of having the two showing complete empathy. Basically I want the two to be opposites, two sides of the same coin (or like an inverse color image, I'm still not ENTIRELY sure). Though the tamer wouldn't be dumb, s/he'd just prefer not to listen to his intellect as much as s/he could. The tamer would be brave, foolhardy and passionate where the drake would be cold, tactical and possibly condescending. I still stick to this idea even after reading about the bonding process because it honestly sounds like you're describing a more platonic version (Or not, I don't know your brain yet) of 'soul mates'. My personal belief is that friends see a lot alike with one another but the closest relationships one might have with another person is with someone very different from you yet connected to you still in some way. I don't usually jump into RPs and start throwing out philosophies on life or romance or anything like that but I like to share my thoughts on an idea that I like with anyone I'm going to work with.

Earth to Clos', you are clear to land. I repeat: you are clear to land. Over! *radio crackle*

"Roger that Control, I'm coming in for landing. Over." Chrzzz Closet circles the landing strip, the cargo of kittens, bunnies and baby pandas bustling about in the back of the aircraft. Gravity starts to shift violently and the controls force the vessel into a nosedive straight into the concrete platform. As the metal surrounding the cockpit buckle from impact the craft suddenly ignites, spreading a blanket of flame and viscera all around the pavement like confetti.
I would like to express interest in this RP. It was given high praise by a certain womunz and what I see of it I like so I'd like to dive in. However, the lady in question apparently has another friend that wished to take the Golden Dragon so until tomorrow when she tells me if s/he is still interested I'll wait :P Just wanted to stick my foot in the door anyway
I am interested, especially if you wish to keep the RPer count low-ish because I've been missing a nice, small group for a roleplay lately. Though if I do join this I want to drag my friend in with me so ima go mention this to her right now.
Kay fine then, I'll just slide myself into the Gallery. Hopefully there is an actual audience there or else this whole thing is going to be less than fantastic...
Okay to put this on fair ground and to try and mitigate any scrutiny based on 'we already have this feature, dum-dum' I will post this link: http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/13658/posts/ooc

I have searched for the closest thing to my idea and this is it. It is also the only thing I have found that actually is close to it at all, and it is only close because it is collab based. My request is a subgroup for novellas, not simply collabs. The other thing that is close to this is the 1x1 page, however people don't really read those because of just how exclusive they are in nature. I'm sure a few do every once and a while but I think you get my point already.
Considering that the only thing very prevalent in the Gallery is visual art I would say no.
I have been pondering for a few months now the possibility of gathering a very small group of writers not exceeding 4 people and creating a web series of some sort. The idea was that it every post would be a collab and would constitute as a chapter or episode in the series. The secondary to this would be that there would be an actual audience of readers for the series and possibly another page for the audience to discuss and review the series. I understand that other sites would probably be a better option for this kind of format (something like FanFiction.net for example) but the community here is just so robust and involved that I don't wish to migrate in order to pursue it. This is why I wish to ask Mahz for a separate forum for such a format because it is near impossible to draw an audience in the roleplaying forums because everybody wants to join the story rather than read it.

The point of this format is basically because if you are using RPGuild as a medium to increase your skill in writing then you are likely going to have a hard time with it unless every RP you have been involved in has been masterfully executed as it is a VERY different format from traditional writing. Rather than planning your story all the way through, Roleplaying is more like improv for writers, bouncing off of the previous posts and such. Don't get me wrong, roleplaying is quite fun in that sense but it is difficult to actually complete a story in such a setting.

I would oh so love to discuss this with the community for more ideas on the subject to make it a more viable option than it currently is. There might be some features that some of you can think of that would help build an audience for such a thing and actually make people want to read our fully realized stories. Before doing so I would like to stress that this format is supposed to be more like a short novel than a roleplay filled with collabs, that is the point of it so it is something I would like to repeat.

Some ideas for possible features:
+ A separate page for the audience to gab about the series and for more serious readers to make reviews of the title.
+ A highlight of some sort in the news page for well made and underwatched series similar to how it worked in the old site.
+ Headers at the beginning of titles to announce the level of writing performance (Ex: Free, Casual, Advanced).
+ (Waiting on more ideas from replies and discussion)
