Lilith, Grey

When Lilith arrived at the Stadium, she took a spot at the front. She got a good view of the centre of the stadium where the head of the school stands. Lilith took a little surprise when she uncannily resembled an older version of her mother/sister figure, Irene, the person whom Lilith would test her pranks on, yet Irene would be the person to keep Lilith in check to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid.

"Good morning everybody! It's wonderful to see so many returning faces to our school! And even better, so many new faces this year! I am the Head of Ouroboros. You can call me Grey! First things first, as I see some whispering going on, some of you may have noticed that your friends and companions are seeing me as something different than what you see."

"I see, so if I show her to Irene, she wouldn't necessarily see her as herself."

"You'll get used to it. Suffice to say that there is no wrong way to address me. Moving forward, I will say that some of you may think you are out of place. That you do not belong."

Lilith sighed, that last statement has hit her home, she would have to deal with people not really "getting her," in actuality, she rarely pulls any pranks for the fact that she can't really find anybody who understands her nature and the fact that Irene would be gone for most of the school year and spends what's left of her time from creating artworks to nature related activities imagining how she'd prank the person next to her.

"This could not be further from the truth! No matter where you come from, no matter who or what you think you are! Know that you belong here. This Academy has had billions of species pass through it's halls. But it will only ever have the privilege of you once. Whether this be your first year, or your last, I hope you come to think of this school as a home, and all of us your family. No matter what you may think now, know that you will look back on these years with fondness. For all your mistakes, for all your successes, for all the friends you will make and lose!"

Lilith thought about what her school life might be like after Grey's speech "I certainly hope so, and maybe, just maybe I could pull some tricks on people, people who would understand that I'd always like to do so, and in between, I'd like to maybe have some buddies to hang around with, to maybe show some of what I make, and maybe this time around, they'd like it. Maybe I could gain some new abilities, something like regrowing that branch that that damn lich tore apart. Maybe Irene would be right when she said this school could be different after all."

Lilith sat for a moment as Grey explained the rules ("Same old, same old") but even though the rules would be something that she has heard about ten thousand times, the authoritative voice that Grey spoke with made it so that Lilith felt obliged to listen to it. Finally, it's the end of the opening ceremony and everyone's dismissed, Lilith left the Stadium, but the fact that Grey looked like her mother/sister figure caught up with her and that left Lilith wondering why is that so.
