The carriage rocked gently as Luka sat staring out of the window, watching the world go by through the glass as they travelled across the countryside. They, that is her and most of the team had decided they would get to their destination by using transportation rather than by hoofing it. Which had made plenty of sense at the time. Their destination, while not on the other side of the world was far enough away from Magnolia that walking would have simply taken far too long. Besides at the time Luka was all for speed, especially if it took her further from the guild. At the time she had been happy. Enthusiastic even. In the meantime the situation had gone completely downhill.

Iggy groaned in obvious distress, his head resting awkwardly on Luka's lap, her dress bunched up slightly to provide him something of a pillow. It was a small gesture, though why she had made it she had no idea. She brushed a hand absent mindedly through his hair in a supposedly comforting manner, only the irritated look on her face suggested anything but kindness in regard to her mood. And she was getting more annoyed by the minute.

“There there,” Luka intoned with mock kindness that contained a hint of the sadistic. Normally Luka would have not have put up with this kind of crap from Iggy, especially if he had planned to do so on purpose. Only he clearly hadn't, so she tolerated it, at least for the moment. Besides, his helplessness was somewhat heart warming. It gave her a warm glow inside. His current suffering was revenge for the fight that HE had started back in the guildhall. However with that said her tolerance was rapidly becoming strained and it was starting to show if the vein on her forehead was any indication.

Luka turned toward Karn, still stroking Iggy's head as it she had no idea she was doing it and glared irritably at him. “Huh? Poor Iggy? Why not poor Luka?!” she said in mild annoyance as she lifted Iggy's head up slightly and proceeded to drop it limply back onto her lap. He really was close to helpless while travelling. “Jeez! Why me? Why not Mimi? Or the new girl?!” Luka complained more to herself than to anyone in particular and with a huff returned to looking out of the window, a slightly flustered look on her face. “If we don't get there soon I'm going to strap him to the roof,” she said with complete seriousness.
Since you put him on Luka's lap you won't mind it if I remove him, I assume?

*Smiles pleasantly*
Silk looked in wide eyed astonishment at the selection of products on the table, as if she had never seen so many beautiful items in one place before. She was clearly in awe and overwhelmed. By now the merchant was confident that he had the simple girl girl in the palm of his hands as he embellished what were otherwise fairly mediocre products. Silk even let him wrap his arm over her shoulders in a far too familiar fashion. On the outside she was everything that she needed to be at that moment. She was the centre of that man’s world, his entire attention focused on her. Which is why he had no idea that she was paying him with his own coin for the vulnerary's that he eventually convinced her to buy. As she walked away from the stall her expression shifted effortlessly from one of naïve wonderment to calm, upbeat composure. It may come as no surprise at this point but Silk was a thief and a pretty good one at that. She had come to the festival rather accidentally having given the slip to a group of overzealous night watchmen the night before. She had been heading to the capital but it turned out that this had been a rather fun, and profitable diversion. Festivals were a virtual bounty of opportunities for the right minded individual. Lots of people crowded together, excited, their attention rapt on the festivities. Silk was not a fan of picking pockets in general, too much risk for minimal rewards but when it was so easy it was hard to refuse the lure. So as to blend in she stopped and paid attention to a troupe of dancers, joining the edge of the crowd and allowing herself to be drawn in. She laughed and cheered at the appropriate moments, while her eyes watched a group of guardsmen patrol the square. They were not looking for her, nor had she given them reason too. But it never hurt to be aware. Silk extracted herself from the crowd with a well timed stumble that saw her daintily fall to the floor. A friendly hand helped her to her feet. She smiled at him bashfully. He blushed in return as their hands touched. She fell into him 'accidentally' as he pulled her to her feet. She bowed apologetically several times before bouncing away into the crowd. The man walked in the other direction, his coin purse no lighter than before. Just because an opportunity created itself did not require that it be abused. That was how a thief gets caught. Arrogance, overconfidence, not paying attention. The man had been dressed as a peasant but smelled clean, a slight hint of perfume or some other scent lingering on his body. His hands had been calloused in the way that all soldiers hands become after years of wielding the same weapon. So he was either a guard playing as bait or an experienced soldier off duty. Either way, too risky. She made her way through the crowd, stopping for a moment to watch a wyvern rider and his charge perform tricks that genuinely amazed her. Then watched a group of soldiers spar off against each other in mock battle to cheers from the crowd. She had to admit that she was having a good time. If the intention behind the festival had been to lift the populations spirits even for a day than it was working. Besides, it was making her quite the profit as well.
Name – Silk Age – 24 Gender – Female Race – Taguel Human Hybrid Class – Thief Nationality – Ylisse Appearance – Silk stands at approximately 5ft9 in height and has a slender, athletic build that belies her natural agility. Like most Taguel her skin has a dark, tanned complexion. Her hair is a dusty blonde hue that reaches down to just below her shoulders in length, framing her face on either side. Her eyes are light brown in colour and possess a cat like quality that always makes her look mischievous. Atop her head are large fox like ears that are the same colour as her hair. With the exception of her eyes and ears she possesses no other indicators that are commonly associated with Taguel, such as fur and tails. Personality – Silk is a confident, silver tongued young woman with dexterous fingers and a mischievous, playful temperament that makes her a threat to anyone with too much gold on their person. For her the laws of the human dominated world are merely social guidelines, guidelines that she regularly breaks with scant regard. Silk is a thief after all. However despite being an outlaw she is not without her own personal code of conduct and morals, it is simply that her morals are far more flexible than most, especially when it comes to herself. Silk is also very much aware that many humans find her somewhat exotic and attractive and has no qualms about exploiting either to her advantage. The one that she adheres too more strict than any other is that she will not, under any circumstance, kill in cold blood. She may be a thief but she is no assassin or common thug. To others the distinction may not seem like much but to her it is a point of pride. With that said Silk is no pacifist and will not hesitate to defend herself if threatened, even if that means killing them. Though somewhat at odds with her obviously criminal nature Silk will not watch idly by if someone is in obvious distress. Not if she can help. Especially if it might earn her a reward. Biography – Growing up Silk was something of an enigma in her village, the orphaned daughter of a deceased Taguel father and an absent human mother, abandoned on the steps of a church orphanage when she was still just a baby. A note was left explaining the circumstances of her birth, a note that was long since lost by the time that she would have been old enough to read it. Strangely enough no one could seem to remember exactly what it had said. As a orphan in a land often torn by war and conflict it would come as no surprise to learn that Silk enjoyed a less than idyllic childhood, especially as the only non human in a human village. They did not particularly mistreat her, though many were wary of her heritage. It was to be expected of course, most of them had never even seen a Taguel before and everything that they knew was based on rumour. Silk herself was not much better in that regard, having never met any of her own kind before either. What little she did know she had gleaned from books in the church library. As a result puberty had been an especially rough time for her growing up with no female Taguel to talk to about the changes that were happening to her and the awakening of certain instincts and impulses that would often lead to irrational and temperamental, even violent behaviour. But when she arrived on the other side, as it were, she was a changed person. Silk found herself imbued with a sense of wanderlust and confidence that had not been there before. The increased size of her chest didn't hurt either. With no family bonds to hold her back she left the village behind and started journeying the continent, a free spirit moving as she pleased. For the most part anyway. There was always the occasional torch and pitchforks incident, especially when people saw her in her beast form. That was always exhilarating. As to why she became a thief the truth of the matter is that she was not burdened with a great deal of options as a young female half breed, especially since she had no desire to join the army in its war against Plegia and its so called cult of the Fell Dragon Grima. In fact her skills are of certain renown in underworld circles, leading to no shortage of offers for her abilities. However the majority of these offers have gone unheeded. Still, there are certain cities were she will be arrested on sight, but to Silk that only makes the world more interesting. Weapon/s – Steel Sword, stolen. Item/s – Beaststone (dormant), vulnerary, chest keys Theme - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhAEfsyyEG4
I'll be focusing primarily on her class aspects rather than her race aspects at the beginning of the story. It's still a bit rough, just need to revise a few minor details than I'll put it into the character thread.
*Nods* That is fair enough. There would be no character strength progression if we started with our higher class forms and items after all. Name – Silk Age – 24 Gender – Female Race – Taguel Human Hybrid Class – Thief Nationality – Ylisse
Personality – Silk is a confident, silver tongued young woman with quick fingers and a mischievous, playful temperament that makes her a threat to anyone with too much gold on their person. To her the laws of the human dominated world are merely social guidelines that she personally has little interest in adhering to unless it suits her. She is a thief after all. Though with that said she is not without a moral compass. It is simply that her morals are far more flexible than those of most people. One rule that she does adhere too more strictly than others in never killing in cold blood. Silk is a thief, not an assassin and is proud of the distinction. With that said Silk is no pacifist and will not hesitate to defend herself if threatened. Nor will she hesitate to help those in distress if it is her power to do so. Some may claim something of a contradiction in her actions but she is fine with that and lets people think what they like about her. As well as not killing in cold blood Silk generally only steals only those who can afford to be stolen from. This however comes not from some altruistic impulse on her part but from the simple fact that poor people generally don't have all that much that is worth stealing. Silk is also very much aware that many humans find her exotic and attractive and has no qualms about exploiting either to her advantage. Silk lacks any particular faith and can get along equally with all the religious groups. She also has no belief in the concept of destiny and will openly mock anyone who expresses such sentiment. Biography – Growing up Silk was something of an enigma in her village, the orphaned daughter of a deceased Taguel father and an absent human mother who abandoned her when she was still just a baby. Sorry for taking so long, was far too busy yesterday and just fell asleep at my desk, will have at least 1 sheet up within the hour. Just a question for my sheet. Aside from the classes are we allowed to play as any of the race classes such as Taguel or Manakete?
I'll get some CS's up when I get back from Uni tomorrow.
Most likely yes.
Interested as well, though I cant give a 100% postive response as to classes and character number. Probably a mounted melee and non mounted magic class.
