CaidianThe Caidic people are the original inhabitants of the Cartic peninsula and the dominant culture of the Hegemony. Caidic superiority is a widely-held belief among the populace.

LlaidinLlaidithic people originally inhabited parts of mainland on the coast of the Vilinstin Sea. Early Caidic nations pacified Llaidithic tribes and the people were integrated over the centuries. The cultures have more-or-less blended, but there is still significant tension.

Summery: The Rethans are the ruling family of Caidia since the Early Dawn Period, they exercise absolute rule. Local lords and noble families have been historically in control, but a recent law put representatives of the working class in the Emperor's Council. Caidia has historically participated in local conflicts and wars, but it varies significantly over the years. A recent policy of imperialism has swept up Caidian politics, and has driven an industrial revolution and an expansionist movement.

The Cartic Peninsula, combined with a strong navy and a seafaring culture, gives Caidia significant control over the Vilinstin and Octovian seas. Corruption is common, but fair trade does exist.
