I'm just saying it would help prevent people from portraying the character different from what the creator intended.

I like you all, it is like a dysfunctional family that is functional 0.0. (Wait What.....)

Just write down the people you liked from this RP and invite them to join others that you do. That's what I'm gonna start doing.
That… actually sounds interesting. But maybe it should be a collaborative CS. That way someone's not forced to play a character type they dislike or just can't handle. Like I have a hard time deviating from my own personality unless it's an extreme. Or we could just make a marine CS and let someone pick how they want?
Jeez, Assallya, you're frying my brain here. As much as I hate to say this (and I'm really not trying to be mean or jerk, I promise! I do care about your opinion), but all this talk of different narratives is starting to make this a chore and I just want to have fun. So I'm bowing out of this discussion now before I end up losing interest in RPs altogether (not saying that's what your doing, just that I don't think the same way you do. It sounds like you LOVE using alternate methods of story telling and hooray for you. I'm just to simple/single-minded to bother). So yeah, you have fun with what you do. Again, I mean this in the best way possible.
I have an idea for a marine, but he'd be Serpere, Vy's brother and thus her rival. I want to avoid that so you don't get a bad case of talking to yourself.

Nope. but i do want a chance to play a marine to.

Maybe we should all play Marines/Rivals as well, but not Rivals to our own characters. Rivals to others.
Here! Here!
I'll post tomorrow after school. I just finished homework and now I gotta sleep. Night.
I'm definitely not comfortable with control other characters beyond minor physical reactions to my actions like a punch that sent them to the ground. I'd be too scared of doing something they didn't like or god-moding by accident. As for the third person viewpoint. i can see the benefits, but I don't think I'd ever use it unless it was required. I won't demand you change or anything, I'm not that type of guy, and seeing as I'm in an english college class we will probably toy with the idea so I will look into it, but I just don't feel like it suit my style of RPing.
