Kamiria couldn't help but feel a little underwhelmed at the prospect of this mission. There was nothing wrong with helping people, of course, but she had hoped for something that would really test her abilities. Manual labour might be physically exhausting, but it wasn't going to demonstrate what she could do. She would just have to make the best of this. When he told them to go and pack, she did so, choosing not to spend too much time on goodbyes. Her own packing wasn't much of a task. She wasn't a big eater, so she didn't have a lot of food in there. All in all, it was just the bare essentials, certainly nothing that would be less than necessary. The only thing that took time was doing this without using her vision. She had taken to trying to do these things without asking anyone for help, so it ended up taking longer than it might have with her parents packing for her. But she felt it was for the best; being capable of doing things without her vision would pay off in the long run. It could even save her life.

Eventually she made her way out to the gate. She could tell Shinichi was already there. She said hello, and then settled in to wait for Niji.

Not a word. Last post was a week ago, with no explanation of whether they might be busy. Tried PMing, got no reply. We actually made the decision to move forward regardless about two days ago, but Savo took his time writing the next post and Vita actually managed to post before him XD So if Aqua can materialise out of the ether sometime soon, maybe we won't have to skip anyone. But I don't have my hopes up.

We're essentially using just the ones from Persona 3 and 4. There's no real rule on what specific ones we're using, but that's generally the best areas to draw from.

Yeah, the mirror world app can be worked on with us after your character has been approved. It potentially won't be relevant for some time, considering how many people we may have to get through, which is why it's not too important to worry about right now.

Technically you don't need to read much of anything unless you really want to read every last bit of info about every character. The only "plot relevant" stuff that's happened so far is the initial group having a short foray into the mirror world, but even that could be skipped as long as you pay attention from now on. The real developments are definitely going to be later on.

And there's no need to account for where your character has been till now. Even if we had been through a serious day of school, they could've easily been there in the background. There's nothing they need to have reacted to so far, so you can write up whatever kind of character you want.

The True Self - Persona

Pretty much, the "true self" was a big representation of your inner demons. Everything the shadows talked about being symbolised with a boss fight. A persons shadow comes out in the mirror world, claims to be you, and starts rambling about something that is technically true about your character, but kind of exaggerated. In the games, one character's shadow pretty much inferred they were gay and desperately wanted someone to accept them. The character vehemently rejects the idea, and thus the shadow, and it gained power from that. That character's true self looked like a big muscly dude with a ring of flowers around it's neck. In other words, a big gay symbol XD Your character pretty much just has to have a problem of some kind that the shadow exaggerates, and then when rejected, transforms into a monstrous representation of that issue.

Think first of something in your character's life that they aren't all that cool with, then how that could be turned into something extremely negative for a shadow to spring from. It doesn't have to be perfected right now, and it will become more clear as other people go through the motions.
