Name sat in the lobby alone he considered performing this experiment in his lab but it was good to get up and moving every now and again. Name looked down at his notebook (on of many this one nearly full) Still Name still felt optimistic after all it took Edison 10,000 attempts to refine the light bulb so his failure could only mean he was getting close...right?

The old doctor sighed and rubbed his temples, when he heard a magnificent thud as a young man came crashing down the stairs. Name rushed over to the redhead and began to check his arms, legs, and head, "You alright kid, dose it hurt when i do this, how about this, did you hit your head?" the doctor asked in a flurry of questions not relay listening but checking for himself.

Know it's a day late but happy thanksgiving.

In the first age the gods created the world, the plants, the animals, and man.

In the second age the heavens split as those wanting a new start sought to undo what they had created. Fire and war raged as man and it's creators battled for the fate of life itself. In this chaos new creatures where made and shaped by both sides.

In the third age man had won its right to live, and the gods who had fought to save them, now called the Preservers, left their children to live in the world created for them without their meddling. The bodies of the fallen gods were left where they lied.

In the fourth age animals and heretics alike feasted on corpses of their creators. Most died outright, but those who survived were forever changed for the worse. Savage and cruel these cursed wrenches rampaged, devastating the land and the bastions of the children of the gods.

In the fifth age man sits dying in crumbling city-states desperately holding onto the life their makers gave them, some praying for their return, others resenting them for deserting them, and some believing that this was their true plan all along.

Alright enough lore, time for specifics. This is a grim world were the survival of decent life itself is threatened, so while I say this in every RP no God like characters! (they all left) technology in the second age was medieval, now it's more modern but think more in a final fantasy 7 sense. Modern firearms and technology with some future twists, also swords and more ancient weapons aren't out of the equation. Most of the flashier stuff was lost as cities and empires crumbled.
I need to see interest but I also want to see what kind of characters you had in mind! A daring general/leader of a besieged city-state? A soldier fighting just to keep himself and his family alive? A priest looking for answers in a world gone mad? A creation of the fallen gods uncertain of its place in the world? Or maybe just a regular Joe or Jane trying to put supper on the table. All are accepted I want to see what you guys want to make! Feel free to create locations, species, countries, etc.

Oh god In heaven I've missed you guys! I was worried that with Lyrax gone off the map I'd never be a part of this again! I'll need to do some rethinking on how to reach certain plot points but I'm just glad to be back!

Gender: Male

Appearance: Dresses in a lab coat, black slacks, and sandals when relaxing at the inn or his lab. Old and haggard has messy grey hair and slate grey eyes.

Nickname: "doc" or "Name"

Race: Vampire (born human)

Powers: (can fill out over time) Analytic mind and fast reflexes, though weaker then most normal humans due to blood hunger, vast knowledge of anatomy both human and supernatural.

Personally: Kind and nurturing like a father or grandfather, though sometimes forlorn and erratic and jittery when testing new "cure" or when stuck in the past.

Backstory: Became a vamp. when attacked and robbed by a blood crazed vampire. Since then he lost his clinic, job, home, and what was left of his family. Since then he has been stuffed up in the inn researching and testing a cure for his affliction without any success. Talks openly about his research and life, but clams up at mention of his life before vampirism. (refuses to drink blood and leaves him haggard and starving)

Other: Drinks large amount of coffee, and acts like a father figure to younger inn residents. (sometimes against their wishes)
