He shook his head at her. There was just something about the way she said her name. It isn't sound natural the way she said it. Almost as if it were rehearsed. It was something that nagged at him, but he had no right to question her about it.
"So what brings you to a small town like this? We almost have nothing here," he chuckled.


Polina, Michigan is on the outer edge of the state. It is roughly 30 miles away from the Canadian border, and surrounded by hundreds of miles of pine forest, and Lake Superior. It is in the middle of January during the coldest days of the year.
