Los Paraísos: The Water Park
“Geez, Dylan,” Estelle’s cheeks flushed as red as her hair, and she grinned back to the Matter Artist. “Are you a writer too, or something? You have quite a way with words, y’know!”
He laughed at that. “Come on, Estelle, you don’t have to be writer to appreciate the beauty all around you.”
“Move it along,” the ride assistant drawled, leaning back against the railing as she gestured to them to head in the slide. It appeared that sometime during their little talk the line had finally moved along and now they were the ones holding it up.
“C’mon then, Dylan!!” Estelle screamed, gripping Dylan’s wrist again and charging for the water slide’s entrance. “Let’s gooooooooo!”
“Right behind you!” He grinned as she jumped in, gliding in right behind her. At first he was a little suffocated by the thick plastic that surrounded him, but he heard Estelle’s screams of joy as she slide. Taking a deep breath, he pushed himself off and shrieked as he flew through the tube, twisting and turning so fast that he completely lost his bearing before he was launched out of the slide and cannonballed into the pool. His splash was so large that it nearly re-submerged Estelle.
Swimming to the edge, he let out a whoop of excitement as he waved down Trixie. “No, don’t think that was the dangerous one.” Eyeing her critically, he frowned. “You’re still dry. Why haven’t you been investigating?” He hauled himself out of the pool and shoved her towards one of the slides. “I’m going to help Big Bro with the drinks and you had better be on a ride by the time I get back.”
