I thought it more ironic that he said he would ensure protection, when he himself has so little health, and no potions.
I'll take the protection of Ares (18%HP/0Potions) + experience versus wolves and trolls over that of a noob with 100%HP. Hah.

After the quest once he saw they were capable. Besides he assumed (erroneously so I do blame him there) that they would head back as a group and would take potions to heal. Hah. It's also a test for Prince, Lilith, SV and Vick.
Let's be courteous and give him some time. Or at least shoot him a PM asking if it's okay. I do recall him saying he'd jump in if he didn't post last night.

I get this feeling that Imagine and Ares would either naturally get along due to the nature of their classes or they'd have issues co-existing due to her volatile nature and his need to keep everyone safe.
Explosive relationship is explosive and full of hurt. But probably intense in a good way.

I thought I'd let you guys react to Ares' arrival before he starts making pleasant conversation.
Edit: It was a joke, he's not attacking anything, he's riding with the group alongside the wagon - within conversation distance of the group. Just, would be out of character for him to initiate the conversation unless he has specific business.
Edit: Actually, yeah, it wouldn't hurt to add a little more, hold on, disregard my IC post.
Edit: Added a couple sentences of dialogue to stimulate interaction. Heh. So check my post before you type yours.
Edit: I actually can't see him and Fool getting along that bad. Maybe even good enough to play a game of cards every now and then discussing battle strategy against enemies and bosses.
