Yeah, which is why Ares nicknamed him Clown. Not that clowns do that but it paints a picture.
Poor Vick, at least he isn't witnessing the horrible sight that is Prince feeling on Ares. That would destroy the boy's emotions.

I'm truly curious as to who will use their soul attack first. I'm also curious how long it will take for us to move on from the forest .3. So much interesting stuff out there and we are still facing the basics.

PM bro, heads upCan a soul attack still be performed after being soul bound? And do you become double soul bound for doing so? Or is there a cooldown so you can't spam it, but you are still able to use it while soulbound with no consequence?
Actually, the benefit (if you'd call it that) of being Soul Bound is you can use your Soul Attack without further consequence, of course there is a reasonable cool down period so you don't spam it.
I just realized something. Bosses can only be truly destroyed by employing Soul Attacks. If Ares attempts to solo the turtle then he'll be Soul Bound to 1%HP. Oh snap, this will be interesting. Maybe he should rethink going in alone.

Ares would want to put himself in a truly life threatening situation, if he was facing training dummies then there would be no point in the status effects; those dummies won't hit back and try to kill him. What he want's is to face a challenge that truly could break him, and attempt to overcome it. It would prove that he can pull through as a guild master, and do what must be done. Maybe it's a guy thing, but I think I know the reasons.That about right, dark?

There's no real danger in the training area. Ares wants to face real consequences for his mistakes. He can practice in the training area all he wants but it wouldn't be the same. Plus he's preparing for the boss. I'm going to make that battle scene brutal and epic. By the way, bosses respawn and are farmable.

I'm still reading through the thread, but a summary would be useful as well.
It's still the first night into the game IC. Two seperate groups completed two different quests in the Mystic Woods, one involving wolves and the other involving the transportation of cargo. Nexus is hosting the first annual Lantern Festival, you can find more details about it in the OP. Most players are returning to Nexus for the festival. Also, this is minor but I do warn you, there appears to be drama already involving love triangles that are best ignored until they fade away into nothingness. >.>
