Lol. Funny post, Flame.
Can I join or am I late to the party?
Four people is enough to get this going; I'll have the OoC Thread up soon as it is polished to my liking. Thanks for the interest!
No need to watch it; you'll know what's going on in the RP just fine. There will be classes, yes. Races? Hm...not sure. But classes, definitely and quite flexible.
GM's Note: I've been itching, for a while now, to do a virtual reality MMO RP. This is my second attempt after a previous try that was moderately successful. Anyway, the basic premise is similar to that of Sword Art Online but with a few touches from other games and such. Basically, there's a new hit virtual reality game and thousands of players quickly register only to find that they cannot log out once they have entered the virtual world. The game has diverse locations with equally represented bosses and enemies, I plan to implement a quest system and possibly do events if it works out that way. Here's a rough draft of the plot, let me know if you're interested, thanks.\

Soul Story Online

It's the year 2020; several years ago the world's first virtual reality game was created only to disappoint millions with its poor environments, lackluster AI and massive lag. Fortunately, technology evolved. An emerging software company, Oracle, decided to incorporate the latest in brain science into its ambitious project - Soul Story Online. They found a way to successfully trick the five sense into accepting artificial reality as real via a headset; an adjustable meter would control the level of realism - hardcore gamers could set the dial at max to experience fatigue and even pain. Since its first reveal, the hype was uncontainable and thousands would wait in line for the game's release.

Soon the game was released to the public. As thousands connected their headsets, Aeternus, the virtual world, became alive. As hoped, the game more than met even the wildest of expectations; the spawn town, Nexus, was quickly filled with the awed expressions of people admiring the level of detail in their avatar, the seamlessly integrated user interface that lit as a bright holographic screen and the rough feel of brick that held up armor shops and magic boutiques that were attended by Oracle moderators. The game's combat system was equally impressive; physics was augmented to allow incredible duals in both PvP and PvE and as was promised, each player had the Soul Attack function present in their attack log but strangely set to 'unavailable'. Despite that inconsequential inconvenience, nothing in the world could ruin the experience until people tried accessing the log-out option. At first, players thought they simply could not find the well hidden button but they soon realized there was no such function.

And then everyone received an ominous letter that changed everything...

I'll be setting this as HighCasual so keep in mind, grammar matters. I don't care about quantity but well-thought-out posts go a long way. If I can get a good number of people interested, I'll add more depth to the RP and create an OoC Thread.
Yo, working on my CS as well. Should be done by tomorrow as I have quite a bit of things to finish up.
Name: Colt "The Devil Spawn" Jackson
Age: 25

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Colt stands at 6'1'' with a muscular frame - a result of years of hard labor, a protein intensive diet and trouble. His shoulders are pumped like iron cannonballs and his chest is equally formidable. He has dirty blonde hair mostly messy up top but still well-trimmed around the sides and a 5 o'clock shadow is usually noticeable on his face. You would quickly notice his vibrant emerald eyes if it weren't for his stubborn tendency to conceal his face with a faded, pitch-black gunslinger hat, which he tips forward just enough to avoid being recognized while traveling or when resting at one of the many saloons he visits, and a black bandana that he wraps around his mouth. Colt's skin is tanned from consistent exposure to the elements despite wearing heavy gear. He has several scars placed throughout his body, two of which are the most noteworthy, one around his neck that tells of an attempted hanging and a second one gashed across his right eye that he received during a violent encounter.

Suggestive of his maverick profession, Colt wears a black, heavy duster coat that is slightly tattered around the edges and a white tailor-made shirt that was customized by the same tailor that made his rugged pants. He walks around in dark brown boots with metal spurs and a thick ammunition belt that holds enough rounds to assault a squadron of at least a couple dozen men. To top of his ensemble, he sports buckskin gloves with metal cuffs that would resemble gauntlets.

Personality:
Colt's current personality was greatly shaped by a pivotal event that twisted his future into one of much darkness and solitude. In constant travel, Colt spends an inhumane amount of time alone but can carry on a normal conversation when necessary - he isn't socially disable by any means. He's a straightforward, to-the-point kind of person which gets him into trouble left and right. He'll be sure to speak out or act out, in most cases, against something that he doesn't agree with. His actions don't really follow a set path or righteousness, the times that he's done good have resulted as consequences of his objectives. Colt certainly has his vices: he's a heavy drinker and smoker mostly out of habit versus the physical need for it. He's also romanced various women as a form of simply satisfying his need for contact; despite these casual encounters, Colt has never been in love and remains unconvinced that it's possible.

His only companion is a ghostly horse, Shadow, gifted to him by a demon. Colt is as relaxed about life as he is a cold blooded killer - a perfect 10 on both score-sheets. He doesn't panic and isn't afraid. He's resilient against pressure and has an incredible tolerance for pain; he does not complain about wounds but is vulnerable against emotions which is why he's never bothered keeping a woman even though deep, very deep inside he longs for the right person - someone who's strong and willing to go where he's going, figuratively speaking.

History:
The future Devil Spawn was raised by his stepmother up until his preteen years. He had a rough childhood, losing his mother during birth and his father subsequently. Colt wasn't even two years old when his father courted another woman. Initially, the woman seemed to care about Colt but was mere deception on her part. Finally, after his father passed away, the woman's true colors emerged. Although, bizarrely enough, not ridding herself of Colt, his stepmother would beat him for the slightest mischievousness to the point that he ran away from the shack where they lived and never looked back.

Teenage Colt was quickly caught up with the wrong crowd and joined an emerging gang that quickly gained notoriety throughout the frontier. Things seemed to be going well for Colt, he amassed riches but at the same time created powerful enemies, the kind that wanted him dead. During a routine heist, Colt was betrayed by the gang leader and handed over to his enemies unarmed. Colt was captured and hung at public's eye. He struggled to remain alive and surely would've perished if it had not been for a demon that appeared before him, offering him life plus supernatural attributes in exchange for a favor. Dante was tasked with traversing the Western frontier in search of specific targets to eliminate. He became very well known and soon an entire myth formed around his adventures and incredible feats, he became known as the Devil's Spawn - people claimed to have seen him survive multiple gunshots and others claimed to have seen him on a demon horse racing across the desert in the middle of storms.
I'm down.
I'll make it one year; it isn't really a huge deal for the plot so, sure. One year has passed, I'll edit my post and, yeah, they have not aged.

"Release them, Kira,"

The female scientist hurriedly walked over to a machine and pressed a button on the hologram screen.

Dante's feet touched the metal platform of the tank just as it was flushed entirely. The glass, cylindrical door opened, releasing steam that poured into the dark room making it warm for a brief second. Without warning, Dante removed the mouthpiece and hurdled it. "W-where am I?" He asked, trying to catch his breath.

"Angel's Town," the lead scientist answered, "who are you people?"

"People...?" Dante could see others emerging from the tanks; their faces seemed familiar. "I...was possessed and then the ship,,,I was on a cruise ship. I was supposed to oversee a delivery when the ship was attacked by a giant dragon. I was on that dragon with everyone in this room. I remember others but we were intercepted by a legion of Blood Orcs." He remembered everything now, the battle, the Blood Orcs and something much more sinister.

The scientist remained silent, his expression revealed nothing about his willingness to believe Dante's story.

"...And your sister?"

"I don't have a sister," Dante replied.

"Sure you do, she's right here with you," the scientist said as he gestured toward the female with the dark hair and blue eyes.

"The hell are you talking about?"

"Your genetic data matches, she's, in fact, your sister."

"Impossible; just who do you think you are making such insane claims!?" Dante was becoming increasingly impatient, it was evident that he had half the mind to hit someone right then and there.

"I'm the man who saved your life so if you're done ranting, explain to me why your power levels are so high?" The scientist turned to everyone in the room before nudging Dante. "You can sort your family affairs later..."

"We found you all minutes away from death but were able to save you. A normal human would not have survived that sort of crash which was the only reason we decided to keep you alive...three years ago."

Jayden had finished draining liquid from one of his ears when he heard the news. "Three years ago!? Dude! Everyone is probably looking for me!"

"And just who are you?"

"Name's Jayden, man. What? You live under a rock or somethin'?" The spunky, rosy haired male asked.

"Angel's Town is about forty kilometers from Black Lake and is protected by a powerful magical barrier; no one gets in or out without special clearance. No, I do not have the sincerest clue as to who you are, the fact that you were found so close to this location in such fatal condition is nothing short of miraculous or planned."
