Bio

You want to know about me, huh? Well, I am a type 0 super luminous star as classified by the Yerkes Spectral classification system. Now, I know it seems impossible that a star can type on a computer but I don't care about that. I've been roleplaying for roughly four years now. I tend to stick to my fantasy, sci-fi, and anime roleplays but have been known to go beyond that. I am comfortable playing both male and female roles. I have no posting schedule but do tend to be more active in the afternoon and on weekdays. I live in Central Time Zone (UTC-06:00) for those who are wondering.

--- Name: Mika Aurelias Age:27 Gender:Female Specialty:Medical Support. Mika was brought in for her medical skill. She has treated wounds varying from a straight forward cut on the hand to a bullet wound to the shoulder. Starting Sanity: 160 Psychological Record: -PTSD from the war against the secessionists -Claustrophobic -No Family History of Mental Disease -Took Four months worth of Therapy for PTSD -Optimistic Background: Born Michela Bronezt to a military Father and working mother, Mika was the youngest of four children. She also happened to be the last child Gianna Bronezt would bear before being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Mika, her brother and two other sisters all spent a majority of their time in military schools wherever their Father was serving. Major Bronezt had been an active member of Alliance military before being injured during battle. Afterwards, Major Bronezt was given a desk job and a comfortable life wherever they wanted him to go. Unfortunately, the Major wasn't much of a family man and spent the majority of his waking hours at work. When Gianna was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, the Major was given the choice of taking care of his wife or continuing on with his job. The Major choose his job over his wife. A year later, when Mika was seven, Gianna divorced Major Bronezt and , after a few months of conversation, received custody of Mika and her brother. Major Bronezt got Mika's other two sisters, which Mika hasn't talked to since their Father's death. Mika moved to a small colony with her mother and brother in order to be closer to her grandparents. Having never met her grandmother and grandfather, it was hard for Mika to relate to them. Eventually, Mika learned to fake liking the two of them who, being from an older generation, always tried to punish Mika for doing things they didn't like(which happened to be everything). Eventually, Mika ran away from home at the age of seventeen with her boyfriend of the time. A year after that, Mika joined the Alliance military with hopes of going through medical school with them. It wasn't long after that the war against the secessionists started and Mika was forced into the war. Mika saw many deaths, some of which she blamed herself for being unable to save them. Mika eventually finished her tour and came back for a psychological evaluation. She was diagnosed with deeply ingrained PTSD from the war. Equipment:A standard issue Alliance pistol and SMG, a med pack, hand held knife and a set of light armor. Med pack content: One two foot roll of gauze, one two foot roll of bandages, one two foot roll of suture wire, five medical grade sutures, a scalpel, a forcep and medical grade sterilizer bottle. Alright then, it is time for me to get to work on the next IC post from me. Expect it sometime today or tomorrow.
So, in light of everything that is going on, I wanted to ask a question. Why did you guys start roleplaying? For me, I started to roleplaying to escape the reality of what was going on around me. My parents were getting divorced and I was still in hoghschool at the time. It was difficult for me to handle everything including my terrible school life so I turned towards roleplaying. It gavee the chance to create a person I wished I could be. This all changed after I moved out last year and started living on my own. Now roleplaying is my outlet for creativity and a way for me to avoid stress. Now I write so I can release what I am thinking, the fantastical worlds where people live in tandem with mythological beings. It also allows me to avoid worry because I get caught up in the work I am doing, whether this means making a character, writing a post or creating a world. Over the years, roleplaying has become a part of me as much as heart is
Sad to see you going Raddum. Due to the state by which you are required to pop out, I won't kill off your character. Instead, mostly due to the liquid plot I have, your character will instead be in a coma until you are back. The coma will be a thing(if you wish) the next time I post as I will temporarily take control of your character for it. If you wish for Ruko to get any memories in her coma then just shoot me a PM if you can of what you have planned. Once more, sad to see you going but I can say with an almost certainty that we will be in Act 1 when you come back.
> > Yeah, it takes a lot of work to keep a roleplay rolling and I admit that sometimes I have lost the drive to keep playing and dropped out. The death of some roleplays have been on me for that but this is one roleplay I have no intention on killing. And far-off is correct. I know for sure that Act 1 is not going to be short and I doubt Act 2(And maybe 3) is going to be short either. > > Occasionally roleplays just leave you bored or you generally get shunned by others(I've personally had this experience and it's more irritating than depressing), so dropping out on occasion is understandable. Glad you're dedicated to this, as it's hard to find a GM really looking to see something through rather than just amuse him/herself for a short while before not caring anymore. > > Just throw a few more acts onto that list and this could turn into a Diablo RP. Lol. Yep, I've never actually seen a Diablo roleplay before though. I also never understood why Diablo needed so many Acts. It is a straight forward dungeon delving game. You do several quests following the main line and then you have another act which follows the same style. In the end you are going to reach the same ending. It is not like the Acts are necessary. On the other hand, our Acts will actually have different focuses. As a person can infer about Act 1: Forgotten, it is about the memories our characters have forgotten. Edit: Also, getting late on my so I will be switching to my phone to get ready for bed.
> I've been there, dude. I've been on this site for years and never have I seen a roleplay reach it's end group-wise, due to the reasons you listed. (I myself have been responsible for dying roleplays as well. Though it's been because of life giving me painful situations.) Character-driven plots have a better chance of success, this I believe is true. Though it's a real team effort, and completing a roleplay takes a lot of that; Effort. As well as dedication to making sure it keeps going. > > I can already tell I will be getting a lot of well-spent time here in this roleplay, and I probably will be wanting more after we reach this 'end'. (As I've suffered such a fate from a 1x1 I did over IM with a friend. Ended for reals like, 2 years ago. But we still go on and on about it because of how much we loved the story we made, and the characters we carefully crafted.) > > Can't say for sure, but this might be a similar experience. I really, _really,_ hope it is. So we can keep going and make it past the end and beyond, to whatever else you might have planned for us in that seemingly far-off future.
> I like the way you work. Having such an open roleplay that allows for characters to really act like they should, rather than being shuffled around at times where they'd act differently and possibly make their own paths due to something normally minor in the big picture of things. I'm excited to see how Ruko will end up going through this, as even though I'm controlling her, the roleplay being so open with choices means her entire quest could be different from what I originally expected due to one argument, one action, or just some temptation. > > Even though I have her memories mostly planned out, I don't even know if she'll get them back. This alone has given me so much more faith in this roleplay, and along with this cast of characters, I just know we'll get somewhere. Might even be the first roleplay I'll get to see end, or maybe I'll die. Who knows? xD I myself have never really liked unbending plots or plots that can flex but are really strict on how much they flex. I've preferred plots which are character driven. Sort of like a choice system which has multiple choices for each decision and is influenced by all previous decisions. In all seriousness, never once have I finished a roleplay who's plot is unbending. I like to hear that people have faith in this. It gives me hope that this will survive. In the past year of roleplaying, I have made lord knows how many roleplays which have died and been in countless roleplays which have died due to inactivity in both the case of GM inactivity and character inactivity. As the mentor of mine who taught me how to be a better roleplayer said **"It is not the goal of a roleplay to tell a story and just end but to leave the player/reader wanting more."**. And that is what I want from a roleplay. I don't just want a simple 'The End'. I want people to read it and reach the end and be hysterical just because they wanted more from. And this is my goal with this roleplay. I even have plans for things after this ends(and I hope it reaches a point where it can). Though, none of this can be revealed.
> Hey guys I won't be able to post in the IC till tomorrow 3:00 PST due to school and writers block. > :( Alright. PST is two hours behind CST correct? If so that is fine. I have school as well tomorrow and won't get home till around 4:10 or 4:20. > But… aren't _all_ choices plot-advancing? XD > > Also, for future reference, you can just call me C. All choices are plot-advancing, but some choices directly influence the plot while others influence sub-plots. Others can also provide lore while doing it. And yeah, calling you C is much easier. You guys can simply call me Dawn.
> > Ooo. Mysterious. > > Following her is something I shall not be doing, though. As I think it'd be against Ruko's character to stray from the action and excitement she is experiencing right now, especially to go after someone she doesn't know whatsoever. Yeah, I know for sure Gail isn't going anywhere anytime soon. After all, she has some pretty bad cuts on both her leg and back so moving isn't the easiest thing in the world. Then again, I can't have Gail leave the fight for what I have in plan. I probably should have stated this earlier but in my rush to get this OOC out I forgot something. That was choices. They are one of the most integral parts of this story. Your characters always have choice even at the beginning of the story. You could have decided to fight or run and hide(though I would not have counted it as a choice really). Choices are what allows me to advance and manipulate a rather liquid plot. Think of it this way, your choices are like flood gates. Certain choices can advance the plot slowly while others can cause a rapid advancement. Other choices can lead down to a sub-plot or a lore section of the plot. But never, and I mean **never**, is it possible for the choice you make to never advance plot. So yes, the plot is like a river and your choices are like flood gates. Currently I would classify C3p's choice as a plot advancing choice. Also, I need to stop taking forever to type these. > lol, Ellis is all about "what are my best odds." Right now, the unknown is looking better than an enemy that keeps popping up and she doesn't know how many there are. She probably should've waited longer before bolting, but she's disoriented and not in the best state of mind, I guess... please don't kill her off. ^.^; Kill her off? Nah mate, I don't kill off characters unless they are inactive for sometime. As for your character, still unknown what she will run into out there.
