The great book never lied, and that's why its runes shifted so kaleidoscopically, destiny was ever changing. So entailed in the most magical of tomes, destruction of the known world. Myron, under strict orders from his master, had been sent on a quest merely to stall an individual's time by any means necessary. The situation was dire, however it was not impossible, not under the headmaster's supervision. To get Myron where he needed to be, the aid of several guilds was required.

Illiam, the legendary bowman would lend his intercontinental archery to perform the shot, firing a large arrow far away, wrapped around it was a scroll with a rift rune engraved in to it. The headmaster supplied the rune, although his student, the assassin in question, was still learning how to control such magic. Once the arrow landed in the Schrade castle's courtyard garden, what followed was an eccentric scribe's introduction.

Fingers clawed at the edges of the rune, unraveling it slowly until a hand could be seen reaching out from the arrow's side. The scroll opened up just enough for an upper torso to crawl out, having slight troubles doing so after his weight caused the arrow to fall sideways. Some petty coughing and wheezing might reveal Myron's whereabouts, however he was still a sizable distance away from what would soon become his opponent. Crawling to his knees, the scribe quickly stood upright, and padded himself down, checking his equipment for losses. A few locked spell cards had fallen out of his shirt and on to the ground, he needn't bend over to grab them, they simply floated up and in to his vest pocket. Nothing else was lost; his own magical tome was locked to his right hip, and his quill wand adorned a black cavalier hat.

At least a hundred or more feet away stood a robed figure, likely the man who would accidentally destroy the world, if Myron didn't stop him. Unsure of how to introduce himself at this point of the game, Myron did what he did best preemptive the fight, distract a fellow with social awkwardness, whilst preparing their untimely demise.

"Hey you! Uhh... wait right there! I'm an... uh... I'm a caricature artist! From the future! I've come to draw you, before you uhh... win! Win what, you might say?.." Myron was biding as much time as he could, and with every word he spoke, his dexterous hands did their work. He'd quickly unclasp his tome, and pinched the feather off his hat, he'd be doodling something in his book before end of his speech. "Well you won a... free trip... to... Aure, the flying castle of flying... sod it! To hell!" Depending on if the robed figure already made offensive measures or not, Myron would quickly turn the book to face his foe, and unleash a powerful blast from a nihil rune once dormant. His aim wasn't meant for Corban, but instead for the corpses at his feet, at this distance, where even Myron's yelling might not be heard, the disintegration beam would turn in to an explosive blast instead, which would eradicate everything in a ten foot radius, and fling debris far beyond that range.

In the off chance that Myron's opponent wasn't a nitwit, Myron was mentally preparing himself to break a vial of ink for quick cover. Normally he'd prepare more runes in advance, his tactic usually relied on traps, however the severity of this situation called for such an attack. Myron had only about five more prepared beacons of nihil in his tome, which began floating whimsically in front of him. The page that once held the rune would burn up, ash fluttered by Myron's face, as the ground once beneath his foe's feet was reduced to just that.
Canonically, Myron's headmaster possesses an artifact that depicts destiny. So I'm just weaving in how Myron is being sent to kill Corban because Corby accidentally would have destroyed the entire world otherwise. I know it's a bit much, ey! But it's the best darn reason I can think of to make a passive character of mine commit to battle.

A powerful archer and a rift rune is used in Myron's intro, but Corban won't see any more of that throughout the battle, I assure you.
I'm leaving some idioms that require the gravity rune untouched, only because they can still fall in to mid-tier. One is just a laser beam, which is one of Myron's only offensive spells, the second being a deathtrap rune that is difficult to create regardless. Gravity rune is practically just a vaccuum, the same effects could be produced by wind pressure, but I'll leave it out to save mind.

Now comes the real issue... making a neutral good character have a reason to kill another random neutral character. Luckily I have a good imagination, and Myron's canon story can send him off with a touch of information that might have been metagaming under any other circumstance. Hope that doesn't have you worried, he won't know anything about Corban upon their meeting.
@Divinity
Vagueness is good for certain things, however I avoided it for Myron's profile only because there's so much he can do, I don't want people suddenly turning on me saying 'oh that wasn't mentioned!' Just because I had some sneaky hybrid spells up my sleeves.

Also, before we start - shall I lock the rift runes as well? Usually in my books, teleportation has always been a high-tier ability, so I'd understand if you want that spell gone. I prepared his sheet to fight someone more powerful initially. Rift is one of his first canon spells, however. Decision is yours!

I'll post when everything is cleared up.
@Divinity
I've locked his control over Gravity & Space/Time. I was pretty sure I did already, because those are mainly there so he can keep up with high power tiers. I also cut out and copied his sheet back in like twice, because I was unsure of playing him, but I think he should be a fair opponent with those three runes locked? The rest of his spellset isn't as impressive. His Geomancy is low-class, and alchemy's only benefit to this fight is in the form of wisdom. If you're still having doubts, I can continue to work on the character I had in mind to fight you at first?

EDIT: I was mainly in a rush, and Myron was a completed character. He's definitely at the high end of mid-level combat, even with those runes taken out. If you're interested in facing him, I'll keep him as is - maybe take out the rift portals? Otherwise the option is up to you... I'm going to continue trying to make a roster of characters for myself to use, instead of relying on the only up-to-date ones I have.

There was a vagueness in Corban's profile, which lead me to believe Ishtalle could transform in to a magitech gun? Just the conversation earlier about it, and the broadness of her skillset. I added Myron because he's one of my only mages I see capable of handling gunfire. Although squishy, he still has a huge array of capabilities.

EDIT X2: If I finish Illiam's profile in time, I'll fight you with the elf instead.

@StarfallThere you go, as requested.

I've posted the character I wish to use, hopefully he is a fair match?
If you die in the jungle, does anyone hear your screams?

Deep in the lost acres of the Gaian Jungles, an ancient ruin lies in shambles. The trees, giant overseers of the jungle loom over a dreary and deadly swamp, infested with vicious piranhas and poisonous frogs. A strange fog looms over the marshes, making it difficult for wizards to conjure the waters, and nullifying most any other forms of magic for anyone falling in to the depths. A vast and nearly endless sea of treas and strange flora surround the swamp, while several rivers extend outwards, flowing with ankle-chewing monster fish. The fog only seems to cover the water's surface, and does not extend through the jungle.

The ruins lie at the top of a flattened mountain, sprouting out of the poisonous murk, with several means of access, such as flimsy rope bridges, and some steppes. Signs that the ancient civilization that once lived here remain as rusted or destroyed magitech parts, some of which were built for an aquaduct that now spills forth murky water. The first several layers of rock are destructible, however fifty feet deep in to the stone lies the roof of a magitech factory, which has been built to withstand incredibly powerful explosions, and is otherwise impervious to damage. Much of the exterior ruins are also indestructible, proof that whatever wiped out this city must have been powerful. Various outcrops of walls make perfect cover spots, since they will not break from gunfire or blasts, however they can be pushed down, since many of them aren't rooted deep in to the ground.
@Divinity Oh gosh no, the sushi would absorb all the alcohol, and gummies are the worst for nutrients! I only got drunk cause I bought an extra pitcher assuming everyone would drink it, and nobody did... T_T (In this scenario, I'm nobody.)

I've concluded I'd like to use my main character, Myron Owyn against Corban. His sheet is in the character bin. If you dislike any of his abilities (he has an extensive array) tell me, and I may nerf them or argue their weaknesses.

EDIT: I'm actually still considering using an entirely different character, one who would be a bit more fair. I'm seeing a power gap between Corban and Myron with his current sheet.
