Brainwave stared blankly at Rastun for a bit trying to come to grips with the current situation. .

"It never occurred to me that would be a problem. I assumed you'd make your own entrance and park it in a corner somewhere like it goes down in our multiverse. Easy fix though. We can install a space bridge generator in your mech. I'm sure its power supply can handle it. We can even throw in a cloaking system so it doesn't stand there and scream here we are. And this way we can even split up if we need to."

It seemed like nothing was going to be simple on this mission. It was almost horrifying to imagine what could be next.
"Tripticon didn't realize they got tourists either."

Both Megatron and Brainwave spent a good minute laughing at this.

"But seriously that place is one of the biggest magnets for idiocy in our multiverse and obviously has to have some connection to Unicron because it's here so it's the most reasonable place to start. Otherwise we'd just be stumbling around in the dark hoping to get lucky. Watch out for the camels though, I understand they're everywhere."

With that Brainwave opened his short range space bridge to the outskirts of Carbombya to begin the investigation.

"Shall we?"
The Cave: Getting back to the actual plot

"Alright then, now that that's settled I suggest looking at a city from our multiverse renowned for massively stupid shit happening in it thus making it a prime candidate for being involved in this... somehow."

"Carbombya?" Megatron immediately inquiried.

"Car... How the hell could you guess that Joe?"

"Like I wouldn't remember the stupid country that had Tripticon defend their coast from the tourist industry, rob Fort Knox, and steal the worlds supposed greatest monuments. No one could possibly notice any of this, no. What an absurd notion."

"Yes well case in point."
If ever there was a touchy subject to avoid this was it. New arrivals to Axiom Nexus often had a hard time adapting to the presence of the narrator. Even most Transtechs tend to ignore it whenever possible. This would either be a hilarious exchange or the start of a new problem...

"To be frank I don't think you want to know the answer to that question. You'd either think I'm insane or the revelation would break your mind. Of course I could make a device that would make it easier for you to accept but the only person I know it was used on turned into an apathetic wreck."
"Excellent Rastun, I shall finish my tracking of Anaheim Electronics and provide them with the necessary info then we can get to work on searching for a way to contain Unicron, or at least preventing the anomalies from making contact."

"Yes well let us hope our attempts to stop it aren't the thing that makes it happen. Things seem to be going too smoothly after all."

"Oh no Joe, don't jinx us by giving THEM ideas. That isn't remotely funny."

And with that the plan was set in motion but everyone had to wonder if Megatron was being prophetic.

"God dammit Joe!"
The Cave: Operation Troll the Titans

Brainwave was almost finished with his several days of exhaustive study about the capabilities of various Titan and AEUG mobile suits. Including various other factors including number of pilots and maintenance capacity. It was tricky to carefully weight all the factors to find the proper balance in just what to hand them but Brainwave was confident. If all goes well this should accelerate the AEUG's resistance movement and keep the Titans distracted for months or years.

"Alright, I'm just about ready. All I have left to do is track communications back to the Anaheim Electronics unit developing new AEUG mobile suits and give them my upgrades and we'll be ready."

"And what of my battle plans? I hope I haven't been wasting my time on this."

Chuckling light Brainwave reassured Megatron. "Oh no Joe, they will be very important for phase 2. You see when the Titans do counterattack the AEUG is going to need more help and to assuage our new allies fears your particular brand of strategic genius is what we'll offer instead of more technology. And of course that will make the Titans even more worried."

"Well..." Megatron cackled lightly "You're certainly devious, yes. I have to say I'm impressed. I didn't think your kind had it in you."

"Never assume anything Joe, never assume anything. I assume this is satisfactory to you Rastun."
"I'll be perfectly honest here, I expect when the anomalies are dealt with this timeline will end and everyone will go back to their own reality so I'm not particularly worried about misjudging something like this. Having said that I'm nearly 100% certain I can accurately judge just how much of a boost to hand out to serve our purposes. The alternative is we keep fighting them as they chase us to steal our technology and we end up going to war with them affecting the power balance anyways. So I ask what difference does it make?"

"Oh that lovely Transtech arrogance." Chided Megatron. "Logically though you're correct whether anyone likes it or not."
"Ah yes well it isn't prudent to tip the scales entirely. We're best served keeping both sides distracted. For now it's best to give them a small technological upgrade. Enough to make them a serious threat but not enough to allow outright domination. I imagine our seriously outdated technology would suffice. Possibly plan out a few operations to get the ball rolling. I'm sure you get the idea."
The Base

"Hmm, the computers were stored in an extra dimensional space connected to us for transit to be deployed when we were ready for them so we didn't have to lug the damn things around all the time. Thus I have a fully function lab albeit not as advanced as I'd like for security reasons. But that's not important, there's something we need to discuss..."

"Simply put." Megatron butted in to avoid a long drawn out logical explanation. "The Titans are likely to be after us after that little... rampage through their base. So we're going to need create a distraction for them so we can do our work in peace, yes."

"Truly bad luck on our part." Brainwave continued. "And the most logical way to go about this is to aid their enemies in their war. I assume this shouldn't be a problem for you since they're oppressive overlords that like gassing civilians and the like under the flimsy defense of maintaining peace."
Sometime later in a secret cave complex that may or may not have previously existed:

"Well thank Primus we managed to timeskip away from the Titans and set up our base otherwise I'm not sure today would have ended." Brainwave says while plugging in the last of the computer systems. "Stealth Field online, at last. Now we can get to work."

"Don't you think you should have warned Rastun communication with his people may not be possible?"

"Eh, let him figure it out the hard way. I'm not here to hold his hand. I'm sure once he does he'll contact us. Now let's see how far the nanites I left behind have wormed their way into the Titans systems. Alright, some tech has managed to infect the bases main computer. Time to see what we have he... well that sounds kinda excessive but I can't say I'll miss him"

Megatron's curiosity piqued by Brainwave's comment. "Oh, I assume something interesting has happened while we were busy doing other things."

"Yes..." Laughing slightly as he continued "That idiot that attacked us at the exit of the city... someone dropped, they dropped a mountain on him!"

"HAHAHAHAHA, that's the most hilarious thing I've heard in ages! I want whoever did that to be my new Rampage, yes!"

Stopping for a moment Brainwave looked to Megatron with a questioning look. "You want a replacement for you psycho pet crab? Yeah, that's not happening." Turning back to the computer he delved deeper into the Titans records. Discovering how the Earth Federation and Zeon ran into the Autobots and Decepticons in the middle of their war and all parties picked their sides and continued the war as usual. Eventually the Earth Federation and Autobots won but after the war ended terrorist cells of Zeon and Decepticon remnants dropped a space colony on Earth prompting the creation of the Titans who quickly turned into barbaric overlords in the name of keeping the peace. It got so bad members from all factions, unofficially of course, joined together to fight the monstrous tactics of the Titans which seems kinda hypocritical of the Decepticons involved because they'd gladly be doing the same if the situation was reversed.

It was immediately obvious to Brainwave the groups formed to fight the Titans, the AUEG and Karaba, were the best bet to keep the Titans distracted so they could do their jobs. There was only one problem with that plan... "So I feel the need to ask you what your intentions are with the Decepticons trapped in these anomalies?"

Giving Brainwave an ominous glace and smirking Megatron replies "You'll just have to wait and see won't you?"

"You know, maybe someday the rest of you primitives will realize cooperation will yield much greater results than war does."

"Well why don't you go tell the Maximals that?"

Brainwave laughed the suggestion off. "Oh come now, it should be obvious I don't agree with the politics in your universe. On either side. For us Autobots and Decepticons stand as equals as it should be. But it's not our place to force enlightenment on your people. However if you were really shrewd you'd use what I said to your advantage. In the end what I think of these silly little wars you all manage to have isn't important. Only stopping Unicron is and I will work with whoever helps get that done. Can you say the same?"

Reflecting on what the Transtech was saying Megatron was begrudging force to agree. The wars of the past don't matter right now because if Unicron isn't stopped everything will be destroyed. "I'll go along with you on this until Unicron is stopped. After that I make no promises."

"Good, now we can begin to undermine the Titans. I'm sure you'll enjoy this part. After all these sorts of situations are why I brought you along."

The excitement on Megatron's face would be obvious to anyone. "Exactly how far are you willing to let me go on this?"

"I have no issues making sacrifices when the situations calls for them. Mindless brutality on the other hand is stupid. I'll come up with the new weapons for them, you come up with your "special" battle plans. Avoid civilian casualties though. We don't need more people coming after us."

Megatron was barely able to contain his laughter. "This will be more fun than steamrolling those idiots."

If the Titans were annoyed with their first encounter with the duo they were soon going to hate them. But ultimately this was a problem they brought on themselves for a multitude of reasons. And so the plotting began in earnest and soon the war would escalate.
