Kenny grunted and pointed the tip of his ZanpakutÅ in Sayuri's face, sneering in anger. Sayuri raised his own sword, and the two began to fight.
Neither man had an advantage over the other on pure swordsmanship, so both stood a few steps apart. Sayuri released his own sword, and it transformed into a Persian scimitar. He grinned and spat at the ground before Kenny. Kenny on the other hand, ignored the other man's insult and held the blade straight up with a single hand. When the tsuba(hand guard) was level with his shoulder, he spoke in a tone of zero emotion.
"Reap their fears, Sankontessuo."
Immediately the sword changed, the blade and sword looking as if it was melting, the hilt growing in size. When the transformation was complete, Sankontessuo had become a scythe. Sayuri felt his heart begin to race against his will and felt fear begin to sink its icy claws into him. He shook his head and charged, using his scimitar's special ability in the process. Kenny didn't move, didn't flinch against his oncoming assault. Calmly, he raised his scythe above his head and charged his pitch black Reiatsu.
"Kage no Nami. (Shadow Wave)"
Instantly, he brought the scythe straight down, sending out a concussion wave that knocked Sayuri to his feet. It was looking like a rerun of their Academy days, with an exception.....
Several Years Ago
Kenny narrowed his eyes, and struck upwards with the Asauchi, meeting Sayuri's slash with his own. Sayuri's rage was visible, and he, despite it being a sword fight only, raised a single index finger. "Hado #4: Byakurai!" He whispered and a tiny streak of white lightning arced out, exploding Kenny's right eye and lids
Present Day
Sayuri knelt before Kenny, not out of respect but fear; a fear that mingled with his busted rib. Kenny sealed his sword and punched him in the face, knocking him out. Kenny lifted Sayuri onto his shoulder and called to Gio before ShunpÅ'ing away.
