Debating between an 80's electro-themed guy with neon/plasma powers, and a rock n roll necromancer. Real tough choice tbh.
Not to knock it, but perhaps we can think of a more interesting title for our player characters than "Custodians?" I understand what's intended, but it seems like something that would be played for laughs. I'm sure we can come up with something that's just as fitting and a bit cooler sounding without becoming cliche. Perhaps "Wardens" or "Sentinels." If we really want to mix it up (and add a bit of cheese to this) we can have it be an overlong acronym. Off the top of my head, MARAUDERS (Mechanized Assault, uh, Reconnaissance... something, something...)
I think what he's trying to say is that any non-canon powers should fit the character thematically. Meaning Roxie could have poison or music based powers.

Kinda interested in this, but I'm also hoping we don't literally have to play our current avatar. Playing as God would be pretty useless.
A more productive avenue may be developing the "Custodian" organization, which may be important as our characters' overarching organization. I think we can all agree that it it's a multinational organization dedicated to global defense by collecting, organizing and supporting exceptional individuals, but what else can we figure out about it?

I personally see it as an X-COM-esque organization, run by a council of funding nations. As well as recruiting and maintaining the "Custodians" themselves, it has numerous in-house engineering and scientific research projects, with the intention of strengthening "baseline" global defense. The overall goal would be that our characters would eventually be only a last-resort crisis team, if not unnecessary altogether, rather than the first and last line of defense against global threats. Or at least, that's the stated intention. Perhaps they intend to instate a new world order using their advances in science and technology? Perhaps, perhaps not, but it's plot potential.

Continuing my queries, what would the structure of the organization be? Paramilitary? Governmental? Corporate? Where would the base of operations be located? What constitutes a threat great enough for our characters to be deployed to intercept? How are our characters deployed, and what are the other logistics of the organization?

All questions that would be good to answer.
How are you on the "supernatural" elements of the Pokemon setting? Psychics, mediums, aura users, etc.

Also, have you heard of the Pokemon Tabletop series (United & Adventure)? Their trainer class system is fairly interesting and could provide some variation and structure to our characters.

jman221 said each character is allowed up to 3 powers of their choosing

Grey Star said @ Dead Cruiser: Change the pilot picture from young Lordgenome and it's accepted.

Changed to something similar, but not as flagrant. Suitably generic I hope.
Apologies for my... tantrum, earlier. My job makes me a bit testy at times.

I've also updated my CS, though as you did not mention what specifically made the Tyrant overpowered, I just had to hazard a guess at it.

I may contribute a Real Robot at a later date, though my experience with such genres is far limited in comparison to Super Robots. Maybe at a point further along, I'll go "to hell with it" and make a Demonbane knockoff.
So are we starting from scratch in the IC or what?
It was my intention with the alteration that she had been having consensual trysts, but the Shinigami was erasing her memories of them.

My intended character arc with Hideo involved powers beginning to manifest more strongly, and ghosts and other such entities recognizing him as a Shinigami, and forcing him into fulfilling their duties, thereby growing into his power. To seek out advice about his condition, he would be forced to seek help outside of his gang, who are beginning to question him due to perceived weakness stemming from his fluctuating powers.
