Hmm, I had a bit of something going, but the inability to play a psionic pilot has now put a spanner into that. Don't wait up for me.
I'll keep an eye on this.

The Arena has a pretty well-established tier list. May want to have a look at that.
With a psionic Framework, would a psionic pilot be acceptable? Perhaps able to use the same abilities as his framework on a lesser scale?
Gnar The Missing Link said Hrmm... Maybe. I think it'll be best if you show the power out fully for me to read out, since it sounds good, but at the same time, it sounds a bit iffy.

Regardless of the exact implementation, what would your preferred method of writing this into the game be? Psionics or weird science? Or something else?

Being able to say 'lift' and 'fling' things or even 'curve' laser beams and bullets would be a thing as a power, but distorts in spacetime would not be possible at all. If you were to fire your own bullets, you could mentally enhance them while in Powered mode for example and take down multiple targets with a single bullet if you were a marksmen/psychic, while if you were a fighter you'd only be able to evade better as a combatant/psychic.

The idea was actually that would sort of be a "trick" fighter that distorted physics to get in its shots. Bullets changing direction completely, making absolute, inertia-ignoring turns to evade, things like that.
Gnar The Missing Link said I am really, really sorry, but I doubt there will be any magic in this setting. >_< I thought about it at first, but it didn't seem right with what I wanted in the end... I'm really sorry Dead Cruiser...

Not literally magic, I understand that it wouldn't work in a soft sci-fi setting like this, but something that could work analogously to it. Say, "quantum physics" or "relativity manipulation" or psychic powers. I only ask because the mecha I plan on working in distorts spacetime as its special ability, and I'm trying to explain such a power.
Any possibility of player characters having an involvement with the supernatural/paranormal? Perhaps not an overt one, but maybe something subtle in their history or person.
Still really want to join this, but I'm having the damndest time trying to think of a character. My "former delinquent" idea I was mulling over got snatched up, and I don't want to pull the rug out under another player by posting it anyway.
Alright, question for my potential application: what is your stance on "magic" be in this setting? The source I'm drawing inspiration from uses it as the primary source of power for mechas and characters, and I'd like to port it over in such a way that would fit into this setting. I was considering writing in some really hand-wavy "quantum" mumbo-jumbo, but what do you think about it beforehand?
I find it pretty funny how you're passing judgement on another character's balance, when your own character is still not yet accepted due to balancing reasons.
