This is, of course, a roleplay, and not a strategy game, Duck. It's the story that counts, and if a nation falls quickly to the Hive, then it falls, and another can be made. The goal is not to survive or conquer, after all, but make a good story, and I think this would make a good one. People fleeing, being taken down, and it won't just be you, it'll be me and after you, the Humans. You can flee or you can try to fight and take it down with you, but I'm going to have my race flee. However, ship entered direct combat, which means that my guys will gain the chance to fight back, or evacuate accordingly.

You haven't been roleplaying with him for years. His usual reaction to any plan is to quash it with something that couldn't have been performed without the commanders having a prior knowledge of the incident... With every plan ever put forwards... Or something crops up without a reasonable explanation that manages to render the entire plan useless...
