Do we really have to choose the masks our parents gave us? I don't think so, which is why I choose my own.

Race Name
Rerans

Name of Faction:
The Reran Federation

Government Structure
Position in the the Reran Government is based off two things, contribution to the Federation as a whole as well as your level of intelligence. The leaders at the top have often made great contributions in the forms of advancing science and technology, as well as being vastly intelligent compared to the rest of the Rerans. The Government does have pretty much authority to do whatever they please, as if they were totalitarian. However this is rarely used, as the ideals of freedom and liberty have prevailed in Reran Society.

Race Biology
The Rerans are a physically frail race, the strongest not even reaching what could be considered average for a human. This does come with the advantage that however they are extremely intelligent, with even the most dumb of Revans still being what most races would consider above average. Their intelligence is often what most contribute to their quick rise technologically and socially.

Rerans are humanoid in appearance, having the standard two legs, two arms, two eyes, and a single mouth and nose. However unlike most other races their noses are two slits in their face, rather than cartilage projecting outwards. A Reran’s skin color is either a light blue or a yellow-green, hair and eyes can be anywhere within the visible spectrum, leading to some truly weird hair colors. Reran’s reach an average height that is a few inches below a human.

Rerans breathe a similar atmospheric combination to humans, as well as having a similar required temperature.

Cultural History:

Rerans heavily believe in the progress of science and society forward, and are also heavily passionate about working together as a whole for the good of all Rerans and the ideals of Unity and Equality. Their belief in the progress forward of science has lead them to sometimes abandon certain ethics to continue on the march of science, leading the Rerans to explore some questionable areas of science. Their belief in Equality has lead to having a no-discrimination policy very early on in their history, and females have never been forced into gender roles or discriminated against. Their ideals of Unity also lead to a society that works together really well, and as helped avoid conflict between Rerans in the past.

The Rerans also believe in peace, and rather than accomplishing it via force they believe it should be done through mutual cooperation. Despite this however the Rerans are not afraid to fight, and will often use their advanced technology as truly destructive weapons.

Their religion is a bit odd, they believe that their is some type of higher power but that he does not intervene in the affairs of the universe. Rather the best way to discover him and the truth to all things is marching forward science and progress.

The current culture currently exists due in part to their intelligence, and as a natural evolution of it. The current Reran Government as well as past Reran nations before they become the united Reran Federation today heavily reinforced the ideals everywhere, leading to it to become the dominant culture of the Rerans.

Social Structure
The Rerans do not really have a caste or class system like many other species, rather everyone is considered equal, and to get farther in society, you need to make great contributions and have a great intelligence.

Reaction to Aliens
Ever since the Rerans first entered the gate they have theorized about the possibility of other sentient species. Their main reaction is to hold position and attempt to establish a line of communication, via translating the alien’s language or space charades. After this they try to discover as much about them as possible, and attempt peaceful relations.

Having never seen a starry sky, write a first hand account of your race's explorer's reaction to seeing the densely packed vastness near the galactic core upon passing through the gate

Is done, however I did notice that non of the techs have cost values attached.
Nouvelle
The diplomat from earlier had come in, however unlike his two guards he did not have the same angelic wings. They all lacked weapons, but there was just something off about them. They took a seat, as the diplomat stood up after the Queen Spoke.

"Greetings your majesty, I am Archmage Cavenus representing the Eternal Union and Immortal Aaliyah. We are a peaceful and friendly nation and wish prosperity for all who value peace. And while as mentioned there was a conflict between us and the Terrans, it has already been settled, and the Tyrants responible for such decisions will soon receive punishment for their actions against the peaceful Terrans." spoke the Diplomat.

The Diplomat then turned to the Valkians, speaking to them.

"Apologies, our ship had suffered a computer error. Their communication systems were disabled as a result. The ship shall contact yours shortly."

Nouvelle:Orbit
The Eternal ship beamed a transmission at the Valkian one, after activating a translation spell.

"Apologies, we suffered a computer error, our communication systems were disabled as a result. We are the Eternal Union, a peaceful and friendly nation."

The Matron
Tullus prepared himself again, asking another battery of questions.

{i]What is the Collapse? Who are the Ol'Tiu and where could we find one of their databses? Who is your creator? And where might we find a Sage?[/i]"
Seems perfectly fine to me.
And if it were truly the enemy's suit, do you think it would have allowed the Iscandarians to operate it in the first place?
Lets see if we can finally shed some more light on the Ethereals.
Facility A-1
The researcher was amazed they had finally gotten it to work, he began thinking, and then spoke his many questions out loud in his mind.

"I am Tullus Tervno, a researcher for the Eternal Union, and a Iscandarian. For a while now we have been fighting a threat we call the Ethereals, who have attacked us on many occasions. We recovered this suit from them. Could you please inform me on the following, how you know of us as you do have a designation for our species, what the Sage is, what the Emissary is, and what the Yss'Tkuld are?"
Can we expect the thread soon? My body is ready.
Facility A-1:Aftermath
The Facility had mostly lost docking bays as well as few outer security station and defenses. None the less damage was still across other decks, as in the living personnel and repair drones took out the fires and kept the facility stable. Researchers were carted off to medi-bays as the doctors quickly healed them, using the power of magic to do so. It did not take long for support vessels to arrive, quickly preparing the station. When the researchers were stable they headed immediately back to their research, as it had become evident that the Ethereals got more aggressive by they day, and that research would be needed to take care of them. The fleet had been far away enough to not suffer much damage from the explosion, only suffering damage to shields. The Fleet mopped up the remnants of the Ethereals, as freighters arrived and took the salvage to Facility A-1's storage for research. Only a few fighters and bombers made it out, and even then with all the magic used for medical purposes on the pilots of them it was likely they would not survive.

With most of the facility stable the same researched who had entered the Matron last time had a strange device on his head. It used telepathic magic to stabilize the mind, and he had a few cybernetic implants as well that did much the same. He stepped into the Matron, ready to see what would happen this time.
Not really.

Lets hope destroying one of my only two prototype Kumaris was worth it.
Facility A-1: The Sacrifice
One of the Captains realized that without this station the Eternal Union was doomed, even with the prospect of Civil War. Whichever side won would need this station and its research to allow the growth and survival of the Eternal Union. Thus he and his crew prepared, for the greater good was calling, and it called for a sacrifice for the good of all.

The prototype ship dropped it shields, and sent all of its power to its engine and overcharging it's Manafusion reactors and other powersources. All Balefire was prepped to detonate, as well as the remaining anti-matter missiles. Nothing could stop the frigate as it blared across space, flying straight into the Catherdral's collaspe cannon, intent on taking it down before they could fire it. Fighters fell as they attempted to defend the station, but once the other defensive forces realized what was going on they focused all fire on the Catherdral's collaspe cannon as well. Facility A-1 would not fall.

The prototype ship was nearing now, damaged from taking fire without its shields. The last few minutes as the crew prayed to the Eternal Mother.

Then the ship impacted.

The explosion was immense, as magic, balefire, and the remnants of anti-matter annihilation spread across the Ethereal Fleet. The impact was greater then that of the Balefire megaspells used on the Ethereals so long ago at New Condia. Hopefully the ship's sacrifice was worth it. The 1st Fleet dropped nearby as they immediatly began focusing fire on a single point of the Ethereal ship, not spreading it out. The fleet's fighters and bombers joined those of Facility A-1, as the Admiral Iscancoff was already informed of the Captain's sacrifice. They would not let in be in vain, as they fought harder then ever before against the Ethereals.
Send your missionaries and I will blow them up with my highly advanced weapons.
