Do we really have to choose the masks our parents gave us? I don't think so, which is why I choose my own.

"Yes that is her, all of her crew, her, and every other Iscandarian here has already had their connection to Faust severed, so we need not worry about the corruption."

New Laws
"By Order of Immortal Aaliyah all councils are hereby dissolved, and replaced with a 1000-man council consisting of the most powerful Archmages, Sentinel Warriors, and Earthen Barons. The military also now has the authority to search any ships in Iscandarian Space with impunity, and can carry out all of the normal functions of the police force. Blood magic, Dark Magic, and necromancy are hereby legal, as is all teachers for these arts and any study materials. The Gamilas no longer have any status, and are to be enslaved immediately.

New Condia
The Iscandarian's small ships unleashed and went invisible, appearing right above the Parasite's ships and unleashing Balefire and anti-matter, as well as kinetic payloads.

Chaos
A Iscandarian ship appeared near Chaos's highest concentration of forces, and sent a message.

"Brothers and sisters, we are in need of assistance. We have the coordinates attached."

I'm waiting on duck to post, so I can finally fell New Condria

Yeah no.
darkwolf687 said
Indeed, it seems so. I am guessing that the second Iscandarian Civil War is on its way...

Nope. Faust can totally control all of the Iscandarians that still have a link to her. She did not do this before as she was a peaceful happy Goddess. Now that she is the Goddess of Tyranny

"mindless forms" Well, that's entirely debateable, but there is no time to debate whether they are truly mindless or whether they still think and have some measure of autonomy, it would depend entirely on the Spore forms access to the mind I would suppose, though they are generally dominated by the mind.. Well, they ARE the mind. But hooked onto a host, they certainly have the capability to be autonomous and sentient, but whether any of the minds let them be is more the question. Also, ridicoulasly OP? As opposed to none of you OP stuff. Honestly, a few kinetic pulses, some tough shields, directed energy weapons etc. Very tough, though quite obviously few in number. A bit exagerated, admitedly, and a prototype which will need a bit of balancing(I'm thinking they can either have the pulse or the shields in use at one time, preventing what was going on before and one drifting forwards to tank the damage AND knock away all kinetic weaponry), but not OP.The only thing I would call "OP" would be the seige engine, which was, admittedly, so far ott it's insane. I'll never create it again after this battle (I'll just say "S'Luk decided it was a massive waste of resources", which it was. I should have just brought more battleships along)Earths moon? Why on earth (No, that wasn't intended) would I steal the Moon? I was merely comparing the effects of the gravity of Sol's moons and planets on the trajectory of an asteroid against the effects of new Condria's satallites and planets, and admitted that actually it does make a big difference, but that wasn't exactly what I was refering to. I could use Luk System if I wanted to, but as I haven't described the system in the entirity it's easier to rely on the shared context of Sol System. I apologise, I should have been clearerEdit: How and the publicity thing. So you know why I'm so eager to crush this world beneath a great big boot xD

Wait, just the Siege Engine?
Just that!?
The fact that their standing firing from a +1000 ships is not OP!?
The fact that they have a pulse that is repulsing all missiles and kinetic weapons, and to repulse said kinetic weapons it have to fired every single second since mines are hitting the target in 2-3 seconds is not OP!?

You have a horribly skewed defention of OP
darkwolf687 said
And on the other hand, duck, you have been using not one but two uber shields, etc to repel 3 invasions of this supposedly irrelevant planet. Before you say anything about the energy in accelerating space rocks, why dont we talk about the energy required in maintaing that planetary shield

I actually required to defend the planet, because of publicity reasons. I have people that actually care, instead of just mindless forms.
And the sole reason the Fleet Shields have been like this is because you BSed in these ships that are ridiculously powerful and OP.

Well, its not accelerating, because it was moving faster a moment ago. In space, if you give something a push it will keep going until it is affected by other objects gravity or collides, so if you foumnd a great strip of nothingness, you could potentially accelerate the object to light speed without needing to worry about resistance during acceleration, thus taking less energy. Technically, the asteroid is decelerating, extremely fast, rather than accelerating fast, though obvioisly its at a speed that would realistically crush it (But then, FTL would realisticallty destroy ships too.) but its rather harsh to fly in at literally the speed of light and vaporise... well, everythingAnd let me be clear, this object is alien to New Condria's system. Its been brought from outside and is now decelerating. So no Duck, it doesnt matter than your moon is half the size... well, actually it does because it means less gravity on the asteroid than in Sol systemI'm going to be quite honest here, I dont defend the 70% asteroid myself. Its been a while since I passed GCSE physics. I defer to more informed judgement on what the speed of the asteroid should actually be. I have a rather lacking knowledge on physics... but then, sci-fi writers don't have a sense of scale, eh?

HOW THE HELL DID YOU STEAL EARTH'S MOON!? WHEN DID YOU!? WOULDN'T THE HUMANS HAVE STOPPED YOU AND NOTICED!?
Plus the object he is moving is just a tinsy bit smaller then Earth's moon. I don't need to say how ridiculous it is to get the energy needed to move a object like that at 70% light speed. Not even magic can do that.

And the system in which New Condia is in has 5 planets, only one has a moon and thats half the size of Earth's moon.
New Condia
Another Iscandarian Fleet arrived, telling the Terrans to focus on destroying the enemy targets. The devoted all of their power to the fleet shield, which hadn't been strengthened by the Terrans as the systems are not cross-compatible. The shield held strong once again, and the parasites would not be the victors here.

The Eternal Union
Faust had never used her connection with the Iscandarians to exert much influence over them, only guiding when necessary. However she forced Chaos across the connections, slowly and safely corrupting each and every Iscandarians. It would take a while for them to become fully corrupted, but they already stood with their new Chaos brothers and sisters.

Sol
It was Lahnha who spoke this time.
"Times are indeed grave. For you all know of Faust, even if only indirectly. Not even the purest of hearts can always resist corruption. Faust knew this, and knew one day it was likely she could be corrupted. That is why you no longer have magic, your connection to her has been severed. We severed our connection to her, but she has prepared for this. She took some of her power and separated from her, creating two objects known as the Seeds of Harmony. The one which we have we can connect all of you to and grant you magic, or any sentient for that matter. The other is capable of purifying Faust. If we are to succeed we must find willing sentients and train them in magic, and then assault the Golden Fortress and purify Faust. A small number of Iscandarians we recruited, and they should be on their way. They are already separated from Faust."

As if on cue a single Iscandarian Frigate, one that Fergus recognized as Emily's ship, and several shuttles appeared.

"This is Basil, we have arrived."
Even 20% of the Speed of Light is unrealistic for a almost Earth-Sized Moon.

At this point Darkwolf's just godmodding to capture New Condia... a irrelevant planet with only a few million colonists and some farms.
Doge memes ruin everything. That was the intended purpose, to get people to stop posting memes. Because it's beyond stupid at this point.
New Condia
The Fleet shield was holding, but barely, clinging on to it's last strings of Life. A few more shots and it would die.

Message to the Terrans
"This is the New Condia Defense Authority, under attack by hostile forces, please assist!"

The Golden Fortress
"On a Dark night, the Golden Fortress will fall. Corrupted. and so will the mother. The Hero of Gliese and the remaining defenders are all that will be left. The Seeds of Harmony their tools to bring the Mother back from her corrupted state."
-The Book of Prophecies

The Golden Fortress, the center of Faust's domain. Pure gold, guarded by the angelic Defenders of Harmony. Chaos had struck at a excellent time, as Faust rested, being such a ancient god. The Defenders of Harmony easily bested the daemons and chaos forces one on one fights, but their sheer numbers overwhelmed them. The horde broke through, breaching the throne room. Their Faust wrested, her long flowing hair, her white gown. Truly she did indeed look like a loving and caring mother.

Lahnha looked, she had her few remaining guard retreating, they already had grabbed the Seed of Harmony that would allow them to retain their magical ability, severing their connection to Faust so as to avoid being corrupted by Chaos. Faust somehow knew this day would come, and she had prepared. Several bright white doves flew up as Lahnha summoned them to go off to the Iscandarians who had joined their order. She took one last look at the beautiful Fortress, before it fell into a darkness.

The Tower of the High Archmage, Alas Prime
Basil was tending to his research as usual, before hearing something outside the door of his office. He went their and saw a dove, the symbol of Harmony. And it sang in a sad tone.

"The Mother Dove has Fallen."

Basil immediately ran, grabbing his shuttle and he cast the spell. Pain he felt, his connection to Faust now severed. He headed for Sol, feeling some of the pain dissipate as a new connection replaced the one he had with Faust. He needed to see Fergus, and he needed to see Lahnha.

Sol
A ship arrived in the system, but it was unique. It seemed to be made of pure gold and silver, and scans showed had signatures like no other ship.

"I need to speak to Fergus, tell him Jyuu-Ichi. Tell him Lahnha has come back." broadcasted the ship, in perfect English.
