Hey sutter would it be cool for a faction change? My friend really wants in and all he knows is star wars. You can just replace the republic sigil with that of the UNSC's
UNSC

Their new home, things had been dark and confusing for a moment but when the backup generator was turned on and the base was powered up the troopers of the UNSC realized knew they weren't in Kansas anymore. The base needed a few patches but nothing that a couple of mechanics couldn't fix, but the worse thing about their new base was the fact that it needed a wall to keep ancient earthen predators out. Though one had to admit they were quite tenacious. A pack of those things attacked squad of marines who were on recon. Killing two and severely wounding four before they were repelled by automatic fire, there were apparently bigger beasts out there than these pack creatures and they were just as dangerous.

Besides the new dangers that now lurked outside their makeshift walls, the men had hud problems their motion trackers sometimes showing each other as foes, and the spartans reported their shields not working. "What else is going on?" Larris asked the flickering shape that sat on the podium. "It appears Captain my memory banks have been wiped, i cannot find any information on the predators outside the wall." The AI said, the captain turned around and folded his hands behind his back, things were desperate. "We will push further into this island so we can find out where these predators come from. Have the spartans lead the charge." The Ai nodded, "Right away sir." And with that the AI disappeared and the captain left the room.
Outside the base

Spartan team alpha was loading into a warthog, they had just gotten their orders to arm up and head out to investigate the fact that these old earth predators were still alive, they had a few ideas of what was going on but nothing concrete. Armed with 4 warthogs and two scorpion tanks the group headed out into the forest to find out what was going on just outside their walls.
those who leave in two days must truly be impatient.
We are all having problems.
Jared sat silently after his joke, he wasn't shocked or scared like the rest as a matter of fact he was grinning like the Cheshire cat. "Everybody i know is dead, a clean slate." He thought as he sat there leaned against his tube. As everyone went about introducing themselves he sat quietly not saying a word but still there was a smile on his face, yes there were no cigarettes up here and no booze otherwise he would of been throwing a fucking party. but then the thought hit him of how they were going to get home, and almost like the guy was psychic one of his companions spoke up about being a pilot and being able to fly them out of here.

Jared stood up and looked to everyone. "Seeing as flyboy can get us out of here, then let's go already." Jared said, finally joining the group. "I mean if he wants to take the risk anyways." Jared continued, he looked out into space staring at the planet they hadn't set foot on in two hundred years. "I hope she hasn't gotten dusty, or cob webs in her crotch." He thought, 200 hundred years later and it was ripe for the taking again. Hopefully the company had done well and he could use his old stash of shares in his lock box to take over or sell out and get rich and tell these ass holes to fuck themselves.
I will try to post when the guild isn't being such a bitch >.>
I got it in up!
Alexis watched in shock as the men came in and Scott dispatched them, it was quick and efficient almost brutally so. Just as she was crawling out from under the bed another man barged in and Scott shot him. She had seen dead men, and had worked on bad cases. But she had never seen someone take a life before her job was to normally save lives and while she could imagine what soldiers went through to take a life and Scott had just take them all out like there were nothing. He gave her the pistol and it felt so heavy in her hands almost like it was a weight. When he told her how to work the gun and how many rounds were in it she just nodded, she was frightened of Scott. So frightened she almost turned the gun on him just so she could be done with it but he told her that they were after her it seemed like a dream or something she had cooked up in her mind to escape something going on in her life but this wasn't it all felt so real. She could smell the gun smoke in the air.

Following after Scott she said nothing trapped in her thoughts and impulses to survive, when she spoke it was meekly. "Two more halls down and straight down is the exit to employee parking lot. My car is out there." She said, scanning behind them and that's when she saw it the masked man rise from behind the counter and point a gun at them, she reacted before he could speak and pulled the trigger she was either very lucky or she aimed well enough with her eyes closed that she hit the man in the throat killing him almost instantly. Finger still on the trigger and eyes still closed, she began to sob, she had just taken a life something against the very oath she swore as a doctor, she was with some highly trained soldier, and there were men trying to kill them both. The day couldn't get much worse.
Yay for scary enemy that everyone fears being the flood?
Rand bowed deeply a slight smile on his face as he bowed. "Yes your majesty, it will be done." He said and dragged his prisoner out of the room. When he was outside the room he was already thinking about who he was going to take with him. First person crossed off his list was Atl, though his honesty was a great trait to have it wouldn't be great for playing the game of Snakes and Foxes that was common among kingdom politics, next crossed off his list was Astrid her temperament would probably ruin negotiations, followed by the old timers while their wisdom would of no doubt be of great help they didn't seem concerned with much, and he went down the list skipping Sikarthis while the Frozen man was a great fighter northern politics didn't really work south. Where up there they were as brunt as the frozen wind it's self. This left Joachim and Wren, it was a tough decision but he figured it out by the time he reached the courtyard, and as a slave interrupted his train of thought. "Sir Gnarl, said you are to execute the prisoner at once." The slave said a slight tinge of fear in his voice as he said it. "Tell Sir Gnarl that I do not kill prisoners or unarmed soldiers, he can do it himself." Rand said flatly no hint of anything in his voice as he left the prisoner in the courtyard with a few others and then sent the slave off.

The bustle inside the courtyards as iron company preparing for the siege to come gave Rand a wake up call. "If I fail, we are all doomed." Rand thought, while that kind of thinking was inevitably going to lead him down a path of failure. He couldn't help but feel it gnawing away at him, almost like he knew right out of the gate he was going to fail. He was no stranger to the dance of politics, this was a mission of utmost importance it wasn't losing some trade route to some noble nor was it losing any honor. If he failed people would lose their lives.

Walking past the stable he began speaking very quickly to a stable boy. "Saddle Stepper and another horse, then have someone pack saddle bags with food, horse blankets, bedrolls and flint and tender and meet us at the front gate with them." He said to the stable boy who only nodded and went about relaying orders and saddling the horses. When he found who he wanted he found her in the animal pens with Sikarthis "Good day to you Sikarthis, and you as well Wren." Rand said and cleared his throat to continue. "The queen asked me to take someone along on a mission of politics, I understand we are now over glorified couriers but I would like you to go with me Wren." Rand stated, he was very flat about it. But he knew Wren was his best choice she could be cool and level headed, and she wouldn't blab and talk to much like Joachim, this made her perfect for a long journey.
