A slight time-skip may be in order, that usually helps when you feel stuck. Helps you take a step back, analyze, and re-cap while introducing a new situation.I could do it if no one minds.

As Grant got the book he wanted, he left the pay on the counter, and headed for the door. With a small 'clink' the door opened, and he walked away. He would probably read it in the Cafe by himself while drinking something. Or maybe eating something. He didn't know. He walked down the pavement and walked into the Cafe, the ringing of doorbells filling his ear. He checked the money he had in his small wallet.

'I'll get a doughnut.' He thought. And he did. He got two doughnuts and sat at a table, reading and eating by himself...
