I'm making a Spartan :3 I think we are supposed to make them seem to have existed already in the ME universe so maybe, the Sangheli conquered the Taurians?

Just a quick note on that front? In the Halo universe, Spartans were designed to be genetically and technologically superior to regular soldiers, meant to stand up to -or surpass- the Sangheli Elites. However, everything that made them so powerful in Halo (Shielded armor, genetic/cybernetic enhancements, etc.) are commonplace within the Mass Effect Universe. Shepard was an extreme example, but most military forces have some sort of cybernetic enhancements (and all biotics do, in order for them to fully realize their abilities) and the majority of ME armor is at least equal to what the Spartans wear. Master Chief could flip vehicles and punch out Brutes, a typical engineer can throw plasma, and biotics can create miniature black holes with little effort.

It certainly makes sense that, after 300 years, there are at least some armor models similar to Spartan armor in the ME universe, but I'm not sure an actual 'Spartan' would stand out all that much amongst your typical council-race soldier.
I'm good like that : )

Also, quickly edited my sample, as I put 'Citadel' instead of 'Cathedral' by accident >.> Should be good now though.
*Whew* That ended up a little longer than I expected, but here's my writing sample. I also put it in my initial post below my CS.

Moving my CS over here, since I jumped the gun a bit earlier XD

o.O wow this thread got a lot of attention.

Got my CS mostly done from the looks of it, so I'll put it up here now. As before, if there's something you feel should be changed, or if you'd like me to flesh out something more, just give the word and I'll edit.

Biography:
-No race forgets tragedy easily, least of all the long-lived Asari. The reaper invasion may have sown destruction across the galaxy, but it was the razing of Thessia that taught the Asari what fear and disgrace truly felt like. And if there was one thing the Asari learned after the reaper invasion was finally over, it was this: Thessia would never fall again.

Arileth was born with that teaching instilled in her mind, and rose to embrace everything it stood for. Her youth was spent in rigorous training, her early maiden days passed by among Thessia's own military squads. Like many young Asari, her people chose her to be one of a new wave of soldiers, ones who would never allow an enemy to land upon Thessian soil ever again.

And Arileth rose to the challenge.

She has proven her mettle time and again in the fires of combat, moving unseen from skirmish to skirmish. Sabatoge, assassination, anti-armor combat, her talents have helped subdue more than a few rebellious factions and rampaging pirates. The invasion of Thessia showed the Asari that even they could not always win on finesse alone, but Arileth stands testament to just how effective those tactics can be. A squad of one who values the defense of her homeworld above all else, she has now been chosen to be one of Echelon, tasked with showing this new enemy that the Asari would never again be made to yield.

Any other notables:
-Despite being Asari and a notable figure in their military, Arileth is rarely seen utilizing Biotic abilities in combat.
! It's back!

Definitely interested in jumping into this again. I forgot to save the final draft of my old CS somewhere other than the former site, so I'll revise it and put it up here on the earlier side of tomorrow.
"Addling the minds of comrades befriended to gun-toting werewolves has never been a sound idea... And yes, I am well-acquainted with the theory behind such a ritual."

Oro had been listening absently to the voices around him until now, concentrating instead on observing the -hopefully temporary- sacrifice of their comrade, with only a moment spared to bow politely in response to Henry's apology. It wouldn't do to ignore the Siren, but the Muninn's anger hadn't quite cooled enough to value his words over witnessing their Fledgling reaper... well... reap Max. It was a rare sight even for Oro, and despite how seemingly mundane it had actually been, he remained fully interested.

Oro was a demigod of Asgard, a traveler of the nine realms so worshipped by the nordic peoples of this world. While his own tasks had set him firmly among the mortals for millenia, he remained acutely aware of the other realms that bore his creator's homes, allies, and enemies.

Those realms belonging to other beings, however, had always remained just out of reach. Especially concerning the realms of the dead.

Hades was expensive to enter and near-impossible to leave, and Horus had always been strangely touchy about other birds searching for his father's domain. A similar story could be told for every realm of the dead that wasn't Hel... and he knew enough about that realm to never want to visit again.

Short story: Death was interesting.

So he kept firm attention upon the reaping of Max, examining the chill pillar their fledgling reaper had created, and the remnants that clung to the area after she and the warlock's soul had passed through. It was that simple for a reaper, then? To claim a life? Though the fledgling's reluctance to do so could mean that premature reaping was frowned upon. Hopefully she would return from that venture as well, conversation with her was more welcome than he had initially feared... Perhaps because she was always glamoured to look like Shana the weekend after cashing one of his checks.

The look on his apprentices' face after this job finally ends will be priceless.

...Provided she was still alive...

Oro cast the thought from his mind with a shivering of his downy mane, concentrating once more on the current conversation.

"I officiated a telepathic link back in that Dionysian den of Nightlings. Not quite what you are suggesting, but the fundamentals are the same. Drawing from that, it should be a simple matter to use Siya's blood connection to track down her distant sire..."

He offered a polite nod to the vampiress in question as his words trailed off, adding one last comment in the wake of current events.

"...Provided, of course, that she is willing."

I myself is fan of the neat OOC/IC thing :3

Yeah, I really like that part of our re-done forum here.

Everything else is still a bit... unfinished, but I imagine/hope that will be improved in time.
