By my understanding, there isn't really any difference between psychokinesis and telekinesis, so I'm good with calling it either. I've just always considered "psychokinesis" a slightly more linguistically precise term, so that's what I tend to default to. Just out of curiosity, though, what is the difference between them for you?

As far as name goes, I was thinking something along the lines of what Mr_pink was saying (my idea before I read to his post was "The League").
Ok, cool.
So it won't be a power level to the effect of a small team against a massive horde of faceless mooks; rather, we should expect to be at about the same power level as any given opponent(s) we face?
Name: Jackson "Jackie" Gelehrt
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Race: Caucasian
Position: Camera Operator
Physical Description: Height of 5'9" with a lean, almost wiry musculature. Short, dark brown hair with a very meager facial presence (which he keeps completely shaved to avoid looking overly unkempt). Skin has a very faint (almost unnoticeable) tanned appearance, with a few scattered freckles.
Personality: Jackie core belief is that nothing exists that cannot eventually be explained by science. As such, he is theoretically open to change his beliefs, but seems to be remaining adamant that there is no such thing as supernatural or paranormal phenomena. Aside from that, Jackie tends to be fairly easy-going, and likes to just enjoy life as it comes.
History: Throughout his life, Jackie has been at the center of lots of small, minor bizarre occurrences, such as objects he set down being somewhere slightly different when he went back to them, getting a slight chill on a warm day inside a particularly old or historic building, or frequent cases of deja vu. He's gotten rather used to it, and habitually writes it off as nothing important, since there has never been any reason for him to really suspect a relationship between them.
After growing up for all of his life in San Fransisco, he decided that he needed a change of scene when it was time for him to head off to college. He ended up at Reed College, in Portland, where he earned a BA in cinematography with a minor in mathematics. After graduation, he just kind of stayed in Portland while he started looking for a job that might actually put his degree to use, subsisting off of part time and service sector work in the mean time. On his shift during one of his stints working at a local coffee shop, he ran into his old friend from high school, Cassie Jacobson. After they'd caught up with each other, they decided to save on rent by going in together on a flat while Cassie got herself set up in her new job on a (somewhat incomplete) team of "paranormal investigators," which got a bit of a scoff from Jackie... until his job search continued fruitlessly, and the position on the team that still needed filling was a camera op, that is. Finally giving in, he agreed to be the camera guy for the team, but only until he could get a better job.
Skills: Uncontrolled (and unacknowledged) ESP (primarily psychokinesis, with a very faint and vague "sixth sense," or clairvoyant tendency, also manifesting sporadically), cinematographic experience/training, and a strong scientific background.
Awesome, that helps a lot! I'll go ahead and post a placeholder character sheet in the OOC (some of the details will probably need to wait until I can coordinate with someone to justify the presence of a skeptic XD).
Yeah, I think so. I might just be a bit confused about some of the terminology (my understanding is that seers, mediums, and clairvoyants would all have abilities that could very closely resemble those of type A).

My idea is to have a predominant (but uncontrolled) focus on psychokinesis, but a high potential for almost any other aspects of ESP (if my character would ever allow himself to believe in his own ESP, and decided to actively attempt to master it, which I would assume would take a good bit of time and effort to do).
Essentially, what that would mean is that small objects tend to move for no apparent reason around me, and I might have some semblance of a sixth sense, but I always tend to write it off as coincidence (a draft blowing the pencil off the table, an oddity of the human nervous system giving me a chill for no reason, etc.), at least for the first chunk of the RP until things that are fairly undeniably supernatural have (presumably) begun to happen around them.
Cool, I'll hop on over to the OOC, then!
Also, one more quick question about ESP: what does type B really do? The description as written seems to imply that it's essentially just a higher tier of ability than type A ESP, but I wanted to make sure before I pick one or the other.
I'd like to put in a tentative reservation for telepathy and psychokinesis.
I've got a basic idea for a character concept that I'd like to try out that seems like it would work wonderfully with that particular skillset.
This looks like a fascinating setting to try out; I'd certainly be interested in running a character for this!
I'd certainly be interested!
How powerful would our characters expected to be, by the way?
I think I'd be interested in this.

Quick question, though, before I start planning a character concept: are we allowed to play as someone with some degree of ESP?
I think it'd be kinda fun to play as something to the effect of the skeptic who got roped into this as the camera operator or ghost whisperer, who actually turns out to be the most in tune with the supernatural out of the group, despite being the only one in the group who doesn't believe in this stuff (in which case, it might be a good idea for me to coordinate with at least one of the other players to figure out why I'd even bother playing along, like if I owe them a favor and the team needed an extra member, or what).
