It's been 6 years? What? WHAT YEAR IS IT!

Anyway, I'm back to take a look around! Used to be part of the Old Guild like.. 7 years ago, where I did a lot of RP. Trying my hand at this again now that I've got a lot of free time working from home.

Dev isn't going away Dizzy. Roland is yours now, it was in the rules.
Maybe something terrible happens blah blah. Perhaps someone already on Ialdia has a partner who is sick and dying. They approach you knowing that roland is dying too or something like that, and vuala, new partner.
Something else I would like you all to consider is how your characters are going to react to certain situation on a personal level. Ialdia changes people and your characters will be developing significantly over the course of your adventures. SO keep that in mind
Chezka said has Dizzy heard from Krimp?

I don't think so, I haven't seen him around either, so I'm assuming no. But unless you'd be willing to pick up the mantle of another character, Ink Blood, it will take a while to set up with an already established character.

Also, Chezka, in my opinion Yvaine would be more suited to expedition 2 or 3. As both of those are going to be more magically inclined, and that seems more along the lines with Yvaine's strong points. Just something to consider.

After a little tussling in the wild world of Ialdia, nobody is going to be the same. The place has a habit of hardening soft souls.

That question is debatable, actually, as we've had a few people drop off recently. I'd have to speak with the others and see if anyone needs a partner.
You're being assigned, however. So it isn't about choice, it's about where he'd be most useful.

scratch that, you're being payed by linara, so yeah technically it's your duty to accompany her. So you'll be going with her.
Until Youn proves that she's more than just a child to the others, she'll more than likely only be trusted to hold equipment and such. Also, anyone without proper combat gear will be able to find some before the expeditions begin. I'll get into that more once we start up.

Remember to keep this in mind guys~

Thank you, Voltin. Do remember to keep that in mind. So far the choices seem well thought out. Shani would be high on the list for expedition two for her scouting ability. If I were assigning each of you, I would have assigned her to 2. With the heavy vegetation and potential threats that could only be spotted from the air, she makes the perfect scout. While Aerethanis makes for good muscle and his magic could be quite useful for navigation. Note, I'll be switching the expedition heads in a moment, as I mixed something up. I'll be changing it in my earlier OOC post, but here it is here if you don't want to go look.

exped 1: Same guy

exped 2: Vriis-Nar

exped 3: Shri-Rah and Thul-Tak

This makes more sense, seeing as Vriis-Nar is the head of the Blue circle and therefore far more magically inclined, and Shri-Rah is the resident Archeologist/magical type guy (secrety woooOOOooooo)
sweet. So 3 for expedition 1 and 1 for expedition 3 so far.
Alright guys. The next act has begun (again, sorry for the delay). Now, something I want to follow up on. The groups for the expeditions have yet to be determined. I figured I would talk with you all and we can decide who would like to group with who. Similarly, here are the expeditions that need doing:

1. A ruin up the river has been teeming with Skarves lately. It is believed that this has become a new center for their emerging commerce. A group is required to observe the goings on there and report any unusual behaviors back to expedition head Ryuun Hisari. This expedition will be lead by Racial cultural expert Drivas Scrisca (elf) (I will be speaking for Drivas)

2. An unusual magical energy has been coalescing in the valley northwest of the colony, sputtering in and out of existence. A dragon has been seen in the area, and most the vegetation in the immediate vicinity has died as a result of these violent magical outbursts. A group is required to determine the nature or intent of these outbursts and determine if they are a threat to the colony, if they are, a follow-up expedition will be composed with a larger force to deal with the issue. This expedition will be lead by Rigitas Morta, specialist on unusual and unorthodox magics. (I will be speaking for Rigitas)

3. An underground ruin has been discovered by the colonist mining teams, a group is required to determine the nature and danger level of this ruin so that mining operations can continue commencement. This expedition will be jointly led by Vriis-Nar Scal-Varris, leader of the Blue Circle, and Thul-Tak Ironbone, mining and architectural specialist. (I will be controlling both Vriis-Nar and Thul-Tak)

Groups can consist of 2-4, it is not required that you work with your partner on the same expedition. All of these expeditions are dangerous and equally important. When choosing which one your character will be going on, think more about the character's good and bad qualities. What are they known for, what do they specialize in, how would they be beneficial in each of these expeditions, rather than which one sounds more interesting to you. Use the same factors that you feel would be thought of by the likes of Ryuun would when assigning each of you to these different tasks.

Once the groups have been worked out, I'll post a formal listing so that each of you knows what the needed materials for each expedition are, and the exact specifications with each task. And I promise you, each of these expeditions will be exciting, so don't feel like you're getting the short end of the stick depending on which one you go on. They are all equally important and have resulting consequences for the story going forward.
