Summoner's Calling

Summon Beast Roleplay

In the days long past our time on Gaia, master summoners would gather a few students, with ample mana pools, and take them to the summit of Mount Vindictus to grant them their summons. Each summon was unique to each student, complimenting the color of mana they had: red, blue, green, orange, yellow, purple, light green, light blue, white, black. After they summoned their beasts, the master summoner took them under his wing and taught them the ways of summon battles.

Though the battles were something common of 1000 years ago, Gaia is in need of new summoners, and a few master appeared, willing to take on the new summoners into their tutelage. You are one of those chosen. Are you ready to take on an adventure, full of action and surprises on every corner?

Synopsis

In a fantasy world similar to ancient Greece, with a few nods of appreciation to medieval times, the Italian Renaissance, and the Colonial Era, our characters will be venturing out into New Gaia, training their Summon Beasts along the way, to times unknown. There are 5 spots open for application, one being the role of the master summoner. Anyone interested in that role can PM me for more details. Here is the student CS!

Appearance: Picture please.
Name:
Age: 14-24, not set in stone.
Gender:
Mana Color(s): The color of mana signifies what the beast's attributes are: red is fire, blue is water, green is nature, orange earth, yellow is lightning, purple is arcane, light green is wind, light blue is ice, white is light, and black is darkness. Combinations are possible and acceptable.
Summon Beast: The Summon Beast has to fit the mana's attributes, as well as the character's persona. The creature can be mythological, fantastical, scientific, etc. It still needs to fit the initial standards. Also could use a picture, not necessary though.
Persona: How does your character...you know, be unique?
Why they were selected: Usually, masters set in to look for students with potential, and not the best suited candidates. This is basically a bio section.

Anyone interested?
I only played Guilty Gear X-2, and since I played it, it has always been something I've wanted to play again. I'm joining up, and a character named after a reference to music appeals to me.
I have to admit, while most of my characters made were theives that stole from everyone, I think I'd like to be our heavy two-handed swordsman for this session.

I actually did make a character of that sort of archetype in mind but I chose for him to use axes instead. I trained him to the point in the game where dwarven armor could be found everywhere, then equipped the full set and ran around saying "I am a centurion, hear me roar!", so much, that my best friend came over one day (he lived next door to me) and asked "What the hell are you doing?!". I pointed at the screen and right at that moment, I chopped off the head of a redguard. My best friend is African American. Best reaction ever. Kinda got off topic, my bad :p
I think it'd be pretty difficult to choose without knowing what they actually do.
Edit: Oh yeah, they make HUGE turns for the oddities that these demons have, and I mean huge. Fire isn't as firey as you think. To give an example, think Ifrit (the general concept) mixed with an oni.
Just curious, what character type are you guys thinking of making?
The room was stained with blood across the walls, and the floor held a scattering of mutilated body parts and entrails. Castle Cielblanc was completely stripped of all human and animal life, except two.

A red figure strut down the dim-lighted, wide chamber, licking its fingers, which were drenched in crimson. It was obvious that its target was beyond the large doors ahead of it, as it did not take its eyes off the door. It stroked one of the two pillars with its free hand, which adorned the staircase which encircled the outer perimeter of the room, as it walked by, scratching it with its dark claw-like nails, making a large screeching sound as the hand bounded off of the pillar and onto the wooden door, tapping it with its nails.

The figure tapped the door for a moment and grinned, baring its sharp ivory white teeth, speaking with a scratchy yet masculine voice, its jaw clenched, "You will not take this luxury from me, your majesty. In fact, you will never take anything from me again".

He— obviously a male by the sound of his voice— leaned his ear against the door, as if he was trying to listen to the sharp, terrified breaths of the man in the next room, and chuckled maniacally. "Oh, your majesty, there's no reason to try and hide the fact that you're scared of me, and of dying. Please, let me hear your cries. After all, I'll be hearing your death-curdling screams, soon." With one last wide grin and and a glow of his red eyes, he opened the door, and all of the light went out.

Present Day
Castle Cielblanc looked almost as ravaged as it did two centuries ago, when the demon spawn known as Vulture laid waste to all of its inhabitants, men, women, and children. None who were in the castle were spared. Only the throne room has changed, where the throne was changed from that of gold, to that of bone, and portals are at both sides of the room.

This is where all evil spawns from, and any human with some sense would stay far away from this wasteland.

Well, not all humans do stay away from here, some being reckless adventurers or drunkards trying to prove themselves, but specifically a group of mages who delve in the darkest art of all magic: demonology. Here, demonologists make a pact with their spawn of choice, and as you can tell from Vulture's actions, the demons here aren't meant for illusions and trickery.

Vulture has called upon the strongest demonologists, and now he sits upon his throne of bone, waiting for the era of demons to come forth...

Plot
Note: To understand some crucial points of the plot, it is necessary to read the history above. Read it.

Vulture, the Demon King, calls on six of the strongest demonologists throughout this plane of existence to go through both of the two portals and defeat the overlord of the Abyss (through the portal on the left) and the god-king of the Skies (through the portal on the right), for reasons yet unknown.

The odd part of this ordeal is that the demonologists he calls on have almost little to no experience in any school of magic, and do not even have any summons to call their own, thus Vulture grants them each one of his six lieutenants, each imbued with an attribute: fire, earth, metal, darkness, celestial, and reality. Each pact is made through a blood pact, which can only be held between one demon and one demonologist, while other demons can be made through other pacts.

A character skeleton, along with other details and a detailed description of the first chapter, will be provided when the OOC is put up.

Is anyone interested, or have something to ask about anything stated so far?
The Dragonborn kills Alduin and dies?! I NEVER KNEW!

I'm just messing around, and I have to say, while the plot seems extremely probable, since the Aldmeri Dominion is so corrupt anyways, I would like to have an opportunity to do something to both parties. You have piqued my interest.
I'm actually from LA, and though I'm not from a place where that comes up very often (or I'm just blind to see any of it), I would like to do my city proud by joining. Or at least trying to apply, I'm pretty lazy today.
I have to say so far it's a WIP with an opening to any suggestions, since I've not really been focusing on it.

Name: Mei Feng Xua

Theme:

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Nation of Origin:: Ta

Persona: Considered über-tomboyish to some, Mei Feng believes she's the best around in what she does, which is horseback combat. Because of her ego, she often bullies people who aren't larger that her dainty stature of 163 centimeters (plus the extra 149 centimeters from her horse, for a total of 231 centimeters). Once she's off her horse, she loses her boyish egocentric attitude and becomes a shy and often apologetic woman, apologizing for things even she had no part in, at times. Her second name— Feng means "wind"—is very like her persona; hot when coming from high, and soft and cool when headed in low.

Equipment: Calvary Lance and Small Round Shield

Ability/Magic/Technology: Other that her ability to fight on horseback, she has the crazy ability to speak to horses. Even more ironic, her horse is a not an actual animal but instead is a mechanized steed named Guang.

Additional Info: Anything I missed, you can do it.

Post Example: New one that fits your character please, so that I may get a feel for your writing.
