MissCapnCrunch said "It was the only thing we had on at the house growing up." Haley said, reminiscing the sweet memories it seemed. As he mentioned about the other possible spiders she did feel a bit curious about the extent of her powers as she said "I might have to get married first for the first one, but who would ever marry me? I'd hate to marry an actual spider either."

"Umm...Marry? Why marry?" Pyktis wondered but then she fired another salvo of questions.

MissCapnCrunch said "What about you Py? What's your party trick?" she questioned, curious about his powers.

"P..Pa..Party Trick!!" was all Pyktis could mumble before the little ball of energy had someone else in her sights.

MissCapnCrunch said "I guess we made it safe and sound, no thanks to you!" she teased, wrapping her slender fingers around his as she lead him to be right by her side right infront of the woman the housekeeper had referred to as Katherin.

Hadley didn't leave too far from the side of Pyktis, considering he was the only person besides the housekeeper she knew in the room. She gave a quick smile to the red haired girl, and spoke to her, "Is it your birthday?" she commented curiously.

KatherinWinter said
"Not me." Katherin answer. "Melody." She pointed towards the middle of the circle. "My name is Katherin welcome to the party and the orphanage. Although I guess being at an orphanage isn't exactly a good thing. You must be new. I don't recognize your voices. We have had many new arrivals. I think there must be a lot of deaths recently. Or maybe just lost souls being found."

came a sweet voice from Pyktis's left, the owner would certainly be beautiful he thought to himself. This place certainly had a lot of kind sounding souls. He had rarely come across one in his years by the pavement and yet it seemed like he had stumbled across two in such a short time here. He was beginning to like this place.

"Ah! my lady, being at the pavement is worse believe me." Pyktis said waiting for Katherin to finish. "I arrived just a while back, Pyktis von Dusseldorf. A pleasure to make your acquaintance." he offered his hand palm side up, bending in a small bow.

"I believe we are all in god's grace just that we have found each other now. Darkness has a way on concealing things of value and warmth or so I heard from a wise man. Being here shouldn't douse your spirits." he finished, waiting for the lady to offer her hand and oblige him.
4:11 PM :P
MissCapnCrunch said
"Sorry about that, I'm not too used to human touch. That was a dumb move on my part." the girl apologized, patting her fingertips on top of his hand.

"Please Miss, you have been too kind to err. It was squarely my fault, after all it was my handicap." said in a guilt-ridden tone. She then waited for him to finish his query regarding her name and kindly divulged it with a joke, clearing the air.

MissCapnCrunch said
"I'm Hadley. My dad was a star trek fan I guess." she laughed, tapping the left side of his hand to indicate a left turn coming up. "As for my transformation, I've only been able to transform into a salticidae, or a basic jumping spider for now. I've never tried too much into it, considering it's not something I really pictured wanting to do with my life."

"Ah! To bravely go where no man has ever gone..." he said in an amused tone, mimicking Shatner's iconic lines to further the joke. "Well I can't say I have seen star trek ~hehe~ but yeah I know what you are talking about." he said plainly.

"A Salticidae is a great start, maybe with time you can turn into Latrodectus or even a Phoneutria!" he noted, "...that would be an awesome addition to your repertoire."

She tapped the left side of his hand gently to signal a coming left turn, surely the room was drawing near but he wanted to talk more with his new 'friend'

Nice, nice.

Yeah, all my roleplays recently had died/stopped so I wanted to stock up on some.
I recently had joined another from Miss Winters- and have been enjoying it so far, so seeing another of hers-

I decided well- why the heck not?

I'm usually in casual myself; but the free section sometimes can have some fun stories and something for me to do while waiting for people to post in the casual roleplays that I am in- that seem to take days and days for people to post in- which can be nice sometimes, but usually it's a bit slow for me.

Yeah have got the same problem. I like Casual and Strict RPs but they are usually slow. Free RPs take a bit adjusting to but they are certainly a different kind of rush. Since I usually do posts upwards of 1200-1300 words Free RPs are welcome change to that.

His questions struck her as odd, but she assumed the best in this boy. He came here for a reason just as she did. It was only then the lightbulb turned on, the boy was blind. "Sure, I can help you!" Hadley said quickly, taking a bigger step into the building, and closing the door that they had left open. "I guess we will have to explore a little, I don't quite know where the music room is myself.." she started, looking towards the housekeeper for perhaps maybe a helping hand in directions

The girl readily accepted his request much to his delight. Nowadays, people seldom came across such kind souls.

"I am grateful" he said with a slight bow. Hoping that soon she'd make contact. Since he had been away from people for so long, he was a bit hesitant to take the lead.

KatherinWinter said
"Follow me." The housekeeper said sternly. She lead the way to the music room. "I will get you a cane Pyktis."

Replied the strict guardian. "Madam, you are truly an angel I tell you." he said in his usual soft tone. Before looking in the general direction of the other newcomer.

Hadley turned to the boy who the housekeeper referred to as Pyktis and grabbed his wrist gently. The housekeeper had not gotten him a cane yet, and Hadley thought her guiding hand would have to do for now. She didn't really want to play guiding hand her whole time here, but a good deed given is two received. Hopefully the boy did not have the power of breaking wrists of young girls, or she would be in big trouble. Hadley leaned into towards him, "Follow me." speaking low she imitated the housekeeper's voice, but in a more gruff and manly sounding way as to make a joke. Laughing, she turned and began slowly following the housekeeper, leading the boy behind her steadily.

Grinning from ear to ear at the imitation, he put a finger on his lips to mock silence as he fell into stride behind the two ladies. The girl had a real gentle touch, much like her voice but she had a strength about her that calmly radiated from her.

"I don't wanna be rude Miss, but this is better for me." he relieved his hand from her grip and gently placed it on her shoulder, adjusting to slowly walk behind her.

"I'll surely return you the favor someday. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name. I am Pyktis von Dusseldorf." he finished, continuing in his usual sweet-talking sense. Apart from his classical European looks, he had a way with words that made it easy for people to acquaint themselves with him. People would hardly ever complain of decency on his part for that was his shining virtue.

"I am curious, if you don't mind, about the degree of your transformation. Can you turn into any spider you wish, or a particular one?" he asked before waiting for her reply.

Ohohoho. I've been here for too long.
Even when this was another guild- probably been here 4 years or more in total (:

How are you enjoying yourself so far? I am going to wait to post again until you have your character post!

yeah. It's fun. I am currently waiting for my intro in a Casual RP I joined, a friend pointed me towards this. It is good fun.

Feel free to call Miss Winters everyone else does ;) if you have any questions feel free to ask

Sure I'll make sure I remember that :D
He thanked heavens for his luck. He surely came across a nice young lady, one who was undaunted by the odds seeing how she dealt with the gruff guardian. He waited for her to walk inside and straightened himself from his position to offer a kind smile, being blind he was unaware that it was a bit lopsided and unsettling but he meant no harm. Especially to an arachnid, his favorites in the Anthropoda familia.

"Miss if I am not too rude, could you take me to the Music room along with yourself." he said to the young girl, looking vaguely at the direction from where he had heard her voice. He hadn't wanted to impose on the beleaguered guardian any longer and he also intended to start making friends quickly. Hopefully, the girl was as kind as he had perceived.

"Would you help me, Miss?" he asked to make sure, his good fortune was indeed good.

Okay Tori, nice to meet ya! I am new here. :D
Just call me DR. It is infinitely easier. ;) thanks Hadley.

The housekeeper sighed. "Fine. The detective knows the rules. Come in. The others are in the music room."

Said the kind woman pointing him towards the music room to go make new acquaintances but sadly he knew that she hadn't accounted for his lack of vision.

"Thank you, Madam" Pyktis thought it was too rude to lean on her more so he kept on his bright smile and slowly ambled towards the inner rooms. Making a series of inaudible screeches and trying to ascertain the location of the room pointed to him by his new guardian.

He silently hoped that someone else would walk through the front doors and be his crutch to guide him towards these new pastures. He idled near the frame of the door that led inside to the other rooms and waited for his wish to be true. Call it intuition, but he had a feeling that someone would soon drop by.
