Max smiled at Cass' lighthearted jab, "I'd be more concerned about being seen with Diamond, to be perfectly honest." he said, looking around the classroom. The difference between the orphans and the students was readily apparent, and not just due to the way they dressed. Sure, the students wore flashier apparel and all, but there was also a way that both parties carried themselves, the orphans with a sense of independence and the students with an air of superiority.

Max sighed, "If I'm being totally honest, though, it's all politics here. Business interests and all that. Just because I don't particularly like Diamond doesn't mean I can ignore her. At the end of the day I'll still have to put on a smile and make nice talk. It doesn't pay to be remembered as the son who snubbed the CEO's daughter during buyout talks." Max frowned slightly. He highly doubted the Carmichael Group would be making a move to buyout Diamond's parents organization anytime soon. The two had some very different methods and views, both regard the public and private sector.
Out of the corner of his eye, Max caught a glimpse of Moz, another of the students and shifted uncomfortably. If there was anyone who stood in stark contrast to the orphans, it was Moz. It was no secret that he had a tendency to torment the orphans. Focusing back to the classroom, Max listened as class commenced. It wasn't long, however, until Diamond made one of her now-famous displays, leaving the room to study in private, possibly with a private tutor. The teacher seemed to just let her go, which hardly surprised Max. The Faculty knew better than to try to stop Diamond at this point, but as much as the teacher tried to ignore Diamond's comments, Max could tell she was rattled. Diamond tended to have that effect on people. Putting the incident away in his mind for later, Max went back to focusing on the class at hand.
Izkripp, as spoilt as Diamond's character is, you do a really good job RP'ing her :D
Oh god, and Paris Hilton just struts on in xD
"Ah, shit. Diamond's back." Max muttered to himself in disdain as he watched the girl enter the classroom. Diamond represented the worst case scenario when it came to kids born into money in Max's opinion. Flashy apparel, disposable income going towards ridiculous trinkets, like her infamous diamond encrusted pen, a sense of entitlement coupled with always getting her way…
Max purposely avoided Diamond like the plague. His family had no interest in any of the business interests her family represented, and even if they had, Max had no doubt that the Carmichael Group, his family company, would be on the purchasing end of the buyout. Honestly, Max didn't see the attraction surrounding Diamond, even on a physical level, but then again he'd always felt that way about numerous entitled heiress', being that he intended to be far away from them when the inevitable sex tape was leaked.

"Don't mind her," Max muttered to Cass, "Some of us reinforce the negative stereotype surrounding us more than others." Walking into the classroom, Max made a point of choosing a seat several rows back and to the left of Diamond.
Max balked at the appearance of Moe. How had he missed her?! He was so caught up with Cass that he become oblivious of his surroundings, it seemed. Moe's departing comment, however, caused Max to laugh heartily.
"Well," He said, looking at Cass, "I wouldn't consider the food I gave you 'buying you a meal first', so I don't think a poolside hook up is on the cards today." He commented with a board grin, "But I think your friend is right, we should probably get to English with the rest of the 'drones'. I certainly hope they weren't shortsighted enough to segregate the classes, though! I'm not all that keen to be stuck in a classroom with a group of 'elites' who consider this situation to be little more than a photo op for their parents."

From there, Max led the way to the classroom, already familiar with the school's layout. He was relieved to see that the classes hadn't been segregated, although the divide was quickly becoming apparent. Entering the room, Max held the door open for Cass. "After you?"
OKAY, so in the wake of Joegreen dropping out (sorry to see you go, btw, but it happens to the best of us) I'm going to say sorry it's been so long since my last post, but I WILL have one up shortly. IRL has been pretty hectic and it's caused me to fall behind a couple of the RP's I'm in, but I'm in the process of catching up!
Rainer grinned at Lucian's comment about being stingy. "I always pickpocket my skill trainers in Skyrim as soon as they train me, that way I level two skills for free. Plus, think of it as a Persuasion check! I just got Ren to relent on the cost, didn't I?" He said, with a chuckle.

Focusing his attention on a third Imp just to the left of the one Ren and Lucian had been attacking, Rainer started running towards it. About a meter-and-a-half away from it, Rainer leapt into the air with his right leg, lashing out with his left foot in a jumping side kick, with his left hand extended over his kicking leg and his right hand clutching the bokken behind him for stability. The additional weight of the weapon was slightly uncomfortable to Rainer, but nothing that he couldn't adjust for.

"HYYYYAAAAHHH!!!
Blah… Accidentally deleted a reply post that totally would have addressed why Max didn't notice Moe before giving Cass a boost into the pool room. Dammit. Sorry guys. I guess I'll have to try again in the morning -_-'
Rainer twirled the bokken in his hands absent-mindedly. Ren certainly seemed to be focused on money rather than actually helping them, but that didn't particularly concern him. Right now he was more concerned with the impending confrontation.

"So what didn't you want to name the group?" Rainer asked Ren as he pressed the accept button. Gripping the bokken tightly, Rainer focused on the possible stance he could take. He could wield the bokken one-handed, giving him the ability to block with his left hand, but he'd lose the power of his attacks, which wasn't preferable at all. Instead, he opted to ground himself in his traditional forward-stance whilst holding the bokken vertically in from of him, the way he'd seen member of the Kendo school's do. He had no idea if it was correct, but it kept the bokken in front of him allowing him to both attack and defend when necessary, so it seemed like he'd just need to hope for the best.
Rainer couldn't help but grin at Sasha's enthusiasm. He knew pre-sparring adrenaline when he saw it. All white belts got it at some point.

"Oh, and the way I see it," Rainer said, surprisingly confident, which was in stark contrast to how he usually was around Ren, "Lucian owes you. He made that deal, not me. I'll pay you for whatever I ask you to teach me, but that 5,000 ¥? That's on Lucian."

It might create a small struggle but the prison break of both her parents would cause a red flag that both groups would probably investigate.

That's what I figured. I'm banking on Joy never making it to Texas :P
