To answer the schlong question, I always figured that the way the skin thing worked was that his skin would fall off, and everything but his skeleton would be this translucent green glow, like this.

So it would only be glowing green as opposed to the sick shit metro saw.
For your second question, no, its not. Jacob is entirely unaffected by outside radiation, and aside from the skin thing, he's undamaged from his own. However, because of the nature of his powers I'm considering making him sterile.
Well, if his skin is still on it shouldn't be that much radiation. Not enough to hurt anyone.

Come to think of it, that opens up another can of worms I'd rather not think about.
It would be really ironic if only Jacob knew what it was, but it wouldn't work for him because his radiation would melt it.
Jacob was just preparing to start the radiation trail when Ravenia gave her orders. He stepped out of the the solar streaker as Tobias did and got a good look at Shay. "Shit!" he muttered audibly under his breath. That certainly complicated things. With no driver, Jacob's distraction plan was toast. He wasn't happy about having to follow Ravenia's order, but without a driver there was no other option. He didn't say anything, just waited as Ravenia, Tobias, and Shay phased back to the med center. As Fen changed to human, Jacob turned to him and said "Go on first. I'll be right behind you." As Fen and Anora took off, Jacob through off his gloves. He held his hands apart and began to focus. Streams of green radioactive energy pulsed between them, forming into a large orb. Jacob pulled his hands back, and through the orb as hard as he could to the west. When it landed, it would make a radioactive fire. It wasn't as effective as his trail plan, but it would hopefully draw a small number away from the herd.

Jacob hopped back in the solar streaker, taking off back to the wall. With the engines still overclocked, he managed to catch up to Fen in no time at all. But just as he reached him, the green energy in the car began to sputter out, and the car slowed to its normal speed. Jacob again swore under his breath. In the driver seat, he wouldn't be able to overclock it again. Besides, the engine would need to cool down anyway.

Reaching the gates, Jacob immediately hopped out of his solar streaker. Turning to Fen, he called, "Handle that, then get back to the walls. You saw how close they're getting." He followed up by calling to Marcus, shouting "Marcus, get the wall on the defensive immediately! The herd is on its way here!" He quickly scaled the wall, taking a place on it to track the proximity of the herd, waiting to strike.
The first thing that Stern felt as he awoke was rage. He had been so close this time. M'Kachen had almost been his, finally! Instead, some sort of beam shot out of the foul daemon, knocking him out. As he examined his surroundings, he was immediately aware he was somewhere else. His space marine physique allowed him to quickly come to his senses, fortunately, as he examined his armor's readings. Fortunately, everything remained functional, and his gear was still with him. He stood to his full stature of eight feet tall, his white armor bearing the crest of his chapter, and gazed around at the room. It was such a strange layout. Then Stern was aware of the others in the room, and he swore by the throne. He immediately drew his force halberd, finding himself surrounded by a strange crowd of xenos and heretics. Only one other being seemed awake yet, a human with a strange device strapped to him. Clearly, he was a heretech. His full hulking stature approached the strange man, and he aimed his wrist mounted storm bolter right at his face. "You there, Heretech!", he shouted in a booming voice, his vox amplifier making him even more intimidating. "What foul thing have you done? Where am I?"
I assume we are all in the same room to start? If so, things will be tense very quickly, what with a servant of the emperor being there.
Finally! Lets get this show on the road.
Name: Grey Knight Brother-Captain Arvann Stern
Age: 400
Universe: Warhammer 40k
Appearance: Here you go
Powers: As a Grey Knight, Stern is capable of using psychic powers. They most commonly manifest as the ability to contact is fellows, and strengthen his already powerful arm.
Weaknesses: As a psyker, Stern is susceptible to the possibility of the warp backfiring upon him when he uses a psychic power, though the odds are low. Also, he is dedicated to the Codex Astartes, and will not deviate from standard strategy. Lastly, he is obsessed with hunting the daemon M'Kachen, and will seek him out no matter the cost. Aside from this, he has all the inherent weakness of a space marine, making him prideful and disdainful towards xenos, heretics, witches, and the like.
Brief Bio: Brother-Captain Stern is one of the longest serving Captains of the Grey Knights. His most famous exploit was the elimination of the Cult of the Red Talon, and their daemonic master, the Lord of Change M'Kachen. With his psychic powers, Stern managed to banish M'Kachen back to the warp, which is a feat that is not normally possible for a lone Grey Knight. Since then, M'Kachen has vowed revenge, and the two remain in a constant war of wits and skill, each seeking to destroy the other for good. Stern has even turned down a promotion to Grand Master until he destroys the daemon once and for all.
Other: Along with his consecrated power armor and conversion field, Stern wields a Nemesis force halberd and a wrist-mounted storm bolter.
Or, there was server lag which delayed my post and made me multipost. Whoops.
As the small herd of Dead began to appear closer, Jacob removed the glove on his right hand. He knew exactly what Tobias was planning to do, and as much as it irritated him to have to take a detour to the important destination, he understood the necessity. If only he could do what he needed to from a stand still position so he could be more efficient. None the less, he could handle it with only slight damage to himself. Tobias told him to "Light em up!!", but Jacob had a better idea. As they circled the group of Dead, Jacob emitted waves of radiation instead of a beam, creating a dome of green energy around the dead as they spun. Jacob had only to wait a few seconds to achieve the desired result. One by one, the heads of the Dead began to explode like grapes in a microwave. Setting them on fire would take to much time and energy in a group this big. This took less of both, because decomposition had made their bodies weaker and less durable. In about 20 seconds, every Dead in the group was headless and on the floor.

Looking out the window, Jacob was pleased to see not one Dead standing. But off in the distance, he could see more groups; too many for them to take down straight up. They needed to be lured away, or they would follow them all the way back to the wall. Jacob called to Tobias, "Fun's over. Head back towards Fen." As they neared the site, an idea suddenly came Jacob. It would take a great deal of radiation and skin, but with the engines already overclocked, it was very feasible. Jacob nearly smirked, he was so sure the idea would work. Of course, the smirk instantly vanished when he saw that the Mother had beaten them here, and was staring them down with a face that said she was pissed at them. Not that Jacob really cared. He respected her authority, but he wasn't her "buddy". She needed to understand the concept of a lower rank making a split second decision. Besides, Jacob never cared what people thought. It was part of his persona.

Jacob said to Tobias, "Pull up next to them and leave the engine running. Don't say anything either. I had an idea of how to deal with the Dead, but we can't wait for approval. If we do it, we do it now." As they pulled up, Jacob called out the window, "Looks like you got this covered. Head back to the wall as soon as you can, and stay as far from the dead as you can. We're going to lure them away from the city. We'll be at the wall in about five minutes, maybe ten." Turning back to Tobias, he said "Here is what we are going to do. I want you to drive out about 15 miles....... west, I guess. As we go, I'll leave a trail of radioactive fire behind us for the dead to track. Once we're done, we'll double back around, away from the Dead, and back to the city. It should be easy with the engines overclocked, and the dead will become to far away to head back to the city. What do you think, Tobias?"
