I cut my foot today :(

I'm glad to hear that you're okay and don't have a giant hole with a knife sticking out of it in your foot. Sorry that you cut it though. But glad to hear you're loving the new cooking utensils. Though it's sad to hear that they slipped to cut you to begin with. Even so, awesome to know that they were sharp and that they stay sharp, thus making things easier, even though that means things could've been a lot worse. Glad things weren't as bad as they could've been. But then you missed out on the ability to lie and make up heroic stories on how you lost your foot. But hay you don't have to lie. But then you miss the chance of filling little kids' hearts full of awe and hope. But hey you still have your foot. But then you missed a chance to be a pirate. But hey, not being a pirate increases your chances in NOT having scurvy. But hey you get gold and to steal ships and shit, then grow old and fill little kids lives with hope. But then you'll be mean. But hey you're not mean now! In fact you're nice. Yep... Nice and safe! And in the end that is the only thing that matters.

Interrailing.

For those of you who don't know, interrailing is an easy and relatively cheap way of travelling around Europe for students and such who want to go travelling during summer. You buy an interrail ticket and can catch trains placed all over Europe, wherever you want to go.
And my friends have just invited me to accompany them on a three-week trip, with only a month's notice. My thought: .

So, we're going to Krakow, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Pula, Dubrovnik, Split, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Sofia, Istanbul. Hnnnggggg.

The reason I'm mentioning this is because: A) I'm more super-super-mega-super-excited than a wee schoolgirl with her first Tamagotchi (my age is showing >_>). 'Tis my first holiday away with friends and we're all 18, so many shenanigans will, inevitably, ensue.
B) it's a long shot, but I'm wondering if any of the folk here know of good things to do in these cities? There's obvious stuff, but if anyone happens to know these cities and knows of lesser-known-but-still-awesome attractions/places to visit, it'd be good to know.

Recently, I've been taking notes in the books I read. I underline important phrases, bracket main ideas, write notes/comments in the margins, etc. Eventually, I'll record the major stuff in a moleskin notebook and I"ll have a summarized version of the main points, helping me retain the most important/influential parts of the book.

However, I just got a book I ordered and now I realize the biggest flaw in this system is that I don't want to mark up a book in perfect condition.

get a journal and just write notes in it and cite each note on the journal. That way you still get those notes that you'd want to write in the book and still have it in its flawless condition,
