Naruto [2014-2016]
Shinohara Yuuko
Shinohara Yuuko
................................................................................Yuuko was a 14 year old kunoichi in a roleplay universe of Naruto called Shimofuri, which later was reborn as Shukumei. She was an adopted child of an old couple who owned a restaurant in Kumogakure, and she loved the village greatly. I always thought that, with the amount of love and loyalty she had for her hometown, I should give her a plot that involved the village as a whole but, even though there weren’t a lot of other characters from Kumo, I never had the courage to even suggest something so big. She didn’t really have a tragic past or anything that gave her character much depth; she was a happy child, somewhat silly, a bit naive and her head forever in the clouds.

Ability wise, she was a DPS fighter and her end-game stat focus would be on speed. She started out with Water, then I was able to get her Lightning release; the goal was to have her get Storm release which, in my head, translated into some cool badass AOE skills that would’ve owned ass. Unfortunately, never managed to get that far. She had a summon, called Little Killers; a group of tiny, cute sister sprites that could aid Yuuko in various ways, such as message carrying or potion brewing. Her most distinctive skill was the roller-blades I gave her, which allowed her to travel at a superior speed and preform various acrobatic feats.

Relationship wise, I don’t believe Yuuko ever had any strong ones with the rest of the main cast; though, in the reboot, she would have if there had been time. There were two main NPCs that acted both as mentors and friends, Tora and Haru.

I always feel nostalgic when I think of her and she’s still the first character that pops into my head when I think of joining a roleplay. You can find her as an NPC in the current Naruto RP I’m writing for, but you’ll only see a fraction of her there.
My Hero Academia [2016-2017]
Mimosa Merryweather
Mimosa Merryweather
................................................................................Nicknamed Mimi, she marked the point I actually started getting serious about character arcs and plot; which makes the fact that I never even got a jump start at it so frustrating. I think it’s because I over-planned so much, which kind of fit in with Mimi’s character to be honest. Mimi was a young 16 year old student who aimed to be a Hero so she could get her father’s attention and, hopefully, get him back together with her mom. She was kind and her heart was in the right place, but she could be cold and standoffish to others; nose always stuck in a book kind of girl. Her perfectionism both a blessing and a curse.

She had a crystal manipulation quirk, which allowed her to bend, replicate and, maybe down the line, even create crystals. I lost hours researching Moh’s Hardness Scale so I could give her a decent enough growth; sadly, I hadn’t yet checked out Land of the Lustrous, because that would have been a badass reference to draw from. Battle wise, she was meant to be a tank, being able to hit hard and take the brunt of the damage without being too roughened up. One of the cuter ideas I had going for her was this hero costume “magical” closet thing, where different costumes gave her different stat and ability perks.

Relationship wise, she didn’t have a lot going on with the other PCs as what, by then, seemed to be the usual for me. NPC wise, on the other hand, she had a whole cast with the other girls from her part time job and one of the teachers, who was actually her brother by the fact that his mother was married to Mimi’s father.

Mimi was fun and adventurous and I will forever be sad that I couldn’t kick off her plot line. I still have all the notes and plans written down and I check them out every now and then. Sometimes, an unused idea might spark a fresh new one! She's an NPC in the Naruto RP I'm currently writing for.
Into the Depth [2020-Present]
Braska of the North
Braska of the North
................................................................................My character in the ongoing Into the Depth roleplay. A d&d-ish dungeon scroller which will, I believe, take us down the 9 circles of hell. That should be fun, so please check it out sometime.

Braska is a healer in her late twenties who is tired of the war, her hope all but vanished. I’ve build her to be a bit of a martyr; her concept being the forfeiture of everything one has, including one’s self, in exchange for nothing. She bears the brunt of her ancestors’ sins, yet it is her descendants who will receive the fruit of her sacrifice.

I’m unsure how, exactly, I’m going to explore this concept. It might even change over time, if I find it too dark and gritty. For now, however, I’m curious to see where the light of her lantern will lead me.
Naruto [2020-Present]
Team Kinryuu
Team Kinryuu
................................................................................My team in the ongoing Naruto RP I recently joined. Boy, do I have a whole ride planned for this trio.

It started only with Sayuri, then Chisato just arrived and made himself at home, and Hotaru was sent down from the heavens as the voice of reason I needed to deal with the other two’s shenanigans. I really wanted to go…not entirely solo this time around, to actually have interactions without the pressure of not writing fast or good enough. Large as it is, I have no idea if I’m going to be able to write out their story to the end; but I’m certainly ready to try!

The Kinryuu arc is divided into episodes. Hotaru, Chisato and then Sayuri; each the main character of their episode, with the story focused on them. I’m taking a very Chekhov’s Gun approach to this one, which, truth be told, will only start paying off in the long run, when I start referencing shit left and right that nobody’s probably going to remember anyway; but I, personally, will probably find it cool as hell, so I’ll keep working hard.

WHEN THE SUN SETS WE GO HOME TOGETHER
EPISODE HOTARU - CHAPTER 0
CRIES FROM THE MOON VALLEY
CRIES FROM THE MOON VALLEY

Midsummer’s is a small bar with a somewhat somber atmosphere not a lot of people can appreciate. It doesn’t help that it’s one of those hole in the wall places that the eyes easily sweep past without really taking notice of it. It’s the meeting place of people with very specific niches, seeking an undisturbed environment away from prying or judging eyes.

It is also the meeting place for the not at all famous, nor infamous, Team Kinryuu. A shinobi duo who, for all the initial glamour one might conjure up in their heads at the sight of two handsome men from two very distinctive families, actually consist of nothing more than an Uchiha without Sharingan, and a Hyuuga without Byakugan.

Chisato doesn’t really give a fuck about that, though. Or so he’d like to claim.

But, to be frank, it was annoying to constantly be looked down by their superiors. They were both at the butt of their clans, never mind that his sis is at the head of the Uchiha casino, and Hotaru’s granny is the matriarch of their clan; neither of them carried much of the prestige usually associated with their clans and, for that, the Shinobi HQ treated them like trash cans and gave them only the missions others didn’t want to take.

The fact that they had yet to be sent on their first B-Rank spoke for itself, even after years of working together as a team and bringing back positive, if slightly chaotic (what fun would it be otherwise) results. But it would all change soon. They’d gone above and beyond during their last C-Rank and, right now, Hotaru was probably already leaving the HQ after a good ass kissing session to get them their very well deserved first B-Rank.

“Hey, Mimi, get me a refill,” he called for the waitress, raising his coffee mug with all the manners of a street dog. His was already empty and Hotaru would probably still take a hot minute.

MASHIRO MIMI

Somewhere at the corner, standing on a three foot ladder and having a look at a broken lamp, Mashiro Mimi gave him a withering glare. “Get it yourself, can’t you see I’m busy?”

Chisato glared right back. “This is why we’re your last house regulars.”

“There can be none for all I care,” the blonde told him, setting her eyes back on the broken electricity cords. Looks like Chisato would have to get his own darn coffee.

In the northern side of the city, inside the tall Konoha Shinobi HeadQuarters tower, an enormous glass building that reflected everything that made outsiders green with jealousy, Hotaru stood somewhat nervously in front of a large mahogany desk.

SHUEMURA KOU
SHUEMURA KOU

His last mission with Chisato had resulted in a less than stellar performance and he was probably in, once more, for a good chiding from the Head of Foreign Affairs shinobi department, also fondly dubbed ASSFACE by his gentle mannered team mate. Shuemura Kou was a brute man with a dark glare and little patience; which usually led to some very interesting reporting experiences after missions.

“Hyuuga,” Shuemura called, dropping the young man’s report on his desk and pulled out a box of cigars.

“Sir?” Hotaru mentally hit himself for how uncertain he sounded. He knew that would just annoy his superior even more, and result in a longer period of getting chewed out.

“Can you tell me where we’re standing right now?”

His superior’s face was passive, not betraying his thoughts and Hotaru swallowed. This was obviously a trick question but he couldn’t get away with simply not answering. “Shinobi HQ Tower, sir?”

“You asking me, Hyuuga?” The commander snapped.

“Shinobi HQ Tower, sir!” Hotaru answered, shoulders straightening compulsively.

Shuemura sat back in his chair and blew out a cloud of smoke. “And tell me, does the Shinobi HQ Tower look like a fucking kindergarten to you?”

Shit. “No, sir!” Hotaru knew better than to let his anxiety show again and readied himself for the incoming wave of insults.

“Then why the fuck are you two constantly pulling back to Konoha with your asses needing to be wiped?” His commander demanded, all the danger in how low he kept his voice the whole time. It was never the shouting that Hotaru should fear, it was when the commander spoke quietly like this. It usually only happens once or twice a year, when a mission ends in a particularly nasty manner and Konoha is forced to intervene to clean up after them.

Chisato kept his eyes firm on the wooden floor. “My apologies, sir.”

“You know Hotaru,” another drag of smoke as the commander looked up at the ceiling. “I have real respect for your clan. Never mind the Uchiha, can’t really expect Chisato to come out any different when his entire clan is such a hot mess.”

“But your grandmother, she’s a real lady. She’s seen more than her fair share of the deal and that is why, when you first got here I accepted you into our ranks.” Shuemura got up and turned his back to Hotaru, looking out the window as he kept speaking. “And, by yourself, you’re not such a bad kid. Bit of a nerd, but no one with half a working brain in here has any doubt if your team brings results home, those results are thanks to your hard work.”

This would sound like a compliment. Anyone else would be stoked hearing this. However, Hotaru’s eyes hardened and his heart froze painfully because he knew where this was going; it wasn’t the first time the commander was touching this topic.

“Chisato is not cut out to be a shinobi.” The words were raw and burned like the skin after ripping off a band aid. “If you want any success in this branch, you need to drop him out.”

An image flashed inside Hotaru’s mind then. Somewhere bright, with an overbearing smell of disinfectant. His eyes covered with bandages and someone holding his small hand in their even smaller ones. “We can find out who did it. We’ll do it together.”

Resigned, Hotaru looked up to the commander, shoulders slightly more relaxed. He knew where this talk was headed…the commander wouldn’t threaten to dismiss Chisato if he didn’t need to ask something out of him. This time, however, Hotaru had a request of his own; so this deal didn't come at a bad time. “What are your terms?”

Shuemura grinned, a wide stretching of his lips that showed his teeth, tinted yellow from his smoking habits. “See. Smart kid.”
My hands build a tower
Slowly going higher
And as stone after stone I gather
My climbing takes me farther

With stars all around me
The goal of my dreams is there to see
Heart overwhelmed with glee
Until the tower crumbles into a pile of debris

I fall and I crash
I break and suddenly I'm trash
My bones too weak to survive something so harsh
I blame myself, was I too rash?

My brain doesn't know and my heart doesn't care
Once healed, my body moves as if unaware
Stones are piled once more without sign of previous wear
I am cursed into this cycle so unfair

A new dream is built on top of the previous one
Always so close to the end but never quite done
Ignoring thoughts I might again be thrown
One more time, I will reach for the sun
Always sitting in placid contentment
My heart has never truly loved or hated
My soul never sated
Used to nights when no one is present
My hands are weary of whatever they brush upon
As someone who's fearful of the sun

Yet perpetually seeks a shining figment
But never too long, never too much
Really, only the softest touch
I'd like to put meaning into my every word
But it's actually quite hard to give them any worth
Fake it until you make it
No, it doesn't really work that way
Effort isn't worth shit at the end of the day

Some people are a little kind
If you insult yourself they'll be quick to decline
Hell, maybe it helps boost the ego a little
But I can throw everything at the wall, see what sticks
And all I end up with, at the floor, is some horrendous mix

Put it all in the oven, just say fuck it
Get me that New York Time's Best Seller, like a damn hypocrite
Because lord knows I complain enough about 50 shades
No complaining when I get that movie deal though
All that'll matter then will be the incoming dough
This one loves the color pink.
They're a dreamer, you might think,
Head in the clouds,
No worries, no doubts.
Life's a rainbow dream,
Marshmallows, peaches and cream.
Y'all giving too many fucks,
Too much drama, not enough hugs.
Why the stress?
Always so pressed.
Not this one though,
Ain't got a worry to show.
