Tokoyema Corperation always had a great cover. It was an electronics juggernaut, its created numerous things over the years, including the world's most popular web search, and advances in robotics, communications, and other fields that effect everyday life. Its all wrapped cleanly up with a great PR department that makes Tokoyema look like a company that anyone sane would love to work at.

The cover though, fell over the company's little dark secret. The Black Ghost Organization.

Through out the last twenty years the organization has been working on designing the perfect super-weapon. Not a missile or a nuke, but one that can blend into any area or location with no suspicion. Only to strike fast and hard with frightening pinpoint accuracy. The purpose behind these experiments? Control, not only to allow any organization, legit or black market based, to gain control of one for the right price. Its also for the pure control having such a devastating weapon could bring.

Years of testing, and a pile of corpses deemed not good enough later, the organization found what it believed to be the perfect set up to turn normal people into such perfect weapons. Over the course of a month, nine bodies that were recently killed due to natural causes were secretly taken away, their loved ones never the wiser. The bodies were reanimated, brought back to life not as people, but cyborgs. Gifted and equipped with hi tech technology that allowed inhuman feats to be easy for them.

Despite being fed that all of this was for a special Tokoyema Corperation test, and that their family are aware and well compensated for all this. There was still a faint feeling of nothing about this being right. Before the nine of them could be given the brain washing treatment, four of them escaped from their holding rooms and were now loose in the streets of Tokyo. The remaining five have their assignment, get the other four, who are 'experiencing dangerous shorts in their circuiting', and they will be allowed their freedom.

Rules:

1: As the GM, I get the final word in all things.

2: Be respectful, dickish behavior is bad.

3: If you can't post at least semi-regularly please let us all know in the OOC.

4: The aim with the characters is original takes on the people who become the 9 cyborgs. Taking inspiration from the original 9 is alright, but this is a retelling of the story at the end of the day.

5: Not really an enforced rule, but keeping in theme with the anime/manga's theme of just about all of the characters (sans 002 and 005) being from different countries. Try to keep your character's nationality different from the others.

6: I will be setting up a Titanpad for this RP, a sort of chat room word processor thing that allows multiple people to work on the same document at the same time. Of course working on posts together won't be required, but hey interacting with your fellow RPer couldn't hurt right? (that much...)

001 - Enhanced brain gives him several psychic powers, such as telepathy, telekinesis, and extra-sensory perception. Though in the original manga/anime the character was a baby, I'm aiming for the role to be a little kid.
002 - Has thrusters built into his feet, allowing him to fly at speeds of up to Mach 5. Jet is also equipped with an earlier, less powerful acceleration mode, later refined in 009.
003 - Has enhanced vision and hearing, allowing her to see through walls and sense objects an enormous distance away. For this RP the character can also use their abilities to, with a second of lining up the shot, hit a target with any object up too 300 feet away.
004 - Receiving the most extensive cyborg modifications: the fingertips on his right hand conceal machine gun barrels, his left hand has razor-sharp edges, and he has missiles hidden in his knees. Part of the right side of their chest and side is only metal without a skin covering.
005 – Physically, they is the strongest as well as the biggest of the 00 Cyborgs; also having heavily armored skin.
006 - power allows them to breathe huge flames which can be used to create tunnels in the earth and attack enemies with underground explosions. Also for the RP has fireproof skin and insides.
007 - has the incredible ability to reshape their cellular structure at will, allowing them to take form of any object, creature, or person they wish.
008 – Originally this was the power to completely breath and move underwater, since this would be tough to write around. I'm officially making this one a wild card. If you want the spot please give me a power you want the character to have. Keeping in mind these are cyborgs so it can't be anything mystical in nature.
009 - receiving several body enhancements during the process of being turned into a cyborg. They are super-humanly strong, resistant to damage, can leap large distances, and can breathe underwater. The most prominent ability is the power to move at a speed so fast that everything else looks like a statue to them, this is triggered by a switch embedded in their teeth. However, they cannot touch any normal creatures such as humans in this state; the high speeds would kill or otherwise cause serious injury to the creature through air friction
Name: Hiroshi “Hiro” Kagawa

Age: 16

Alias: Kid Flash

Appearance: Normal –

Suited up –

Skills: Computer tech and IT knowledge
Strong background in science, physiologic mainly
Good at in line skating
Seriously good at Backalley Brawler 3: Hyper HD Edition, seriously don't even try to beat him...

Powers: Hiro's power stem from ending up having his physical and spiritual state merged with an almost alternate reality known simply as 'the speed force'. With it he is not only able to run at incredibly high speeds, but also his reaction time, and endurance are also given serious boosts. Hiro is not effected by friction. Although Hiro's body has a hyper accelerated metabolism which helps him heal quicker than normal. It also means he needs to consume much more food than a normal person in order to get the bigger levels of calories needed to burn.

Able to accelerate his body down to a molecular level, Hiro can also hypothetically vibrate his molecules enough to allow him to move through solid objects. The term hypothetically is used though because Hiro hasn't quite gotten the hang of it despite his mentor's training.

Backstory: Born to a Japanese father and an American mother, who had met while he was working in the US air force base located in Japan. Both of whom have retired from the Air Force base and now work at the same corporation on a very busy schedule that leave them not seeing Hiro very often. Hiro though grew up a self-confident, excitable young boy in the streets of Tokyo. Although as time passed the energy and cheeriness started to fade slowly. As school became a daunting place where Hiro kept being scared of how others perceived him. Especially when he got teased for being half-American.

Hiro felt helpless, blending into the crowd despite strong grades. He seeked comfort in the small things he had in his life, working on computers, in line skating with his few friends, and generally whatever else he could do. Though as he grew up, he always found himself interested in the Justice League that was forming in the US. In particular the hero known as The Flash. Hiro always thought the guy seemed so cool, even when his friends were all Superman or Batman fans. Hiro knew in his heart who the really cool one was.

One night while working on his personal PC, Hiro was trying to install particular parts into the machine while also not paying much attention to the lightning storm that was going on outside. Suddenly in the blink of an eye Hiro felt some kind of strange electrical serge go through the computer and everything around him go blank, frozen in time. Hiro saw a strange world, peaceful and serene though moving in slow motion, as this place seemed to connect with him in some deep feeling that ran through the very core of his body. As soon as it all happened though, Hiro suddenly found himself flung back into reality, the force of the shock knocking him hard back into his bedroom wall.

It took time for him to even process what happened to him that night, let alone what happened next. When he slowly began to discover that suddenly he could move much... much faster than before. When he finally processed what had happened to him though. Hiro was all smiles as he realized he was just like his hero. Quickly he made an admittedly stupid looking costume, and started patrolling the streets of Tokyo for troublemakers needing to be brought to justice.

The idea of a hero being a blur through the city caught the media's eye, as well as many others. Hiro didn't really understand this until one night when a red clad hero suddenly stood in front of him while he did his nightly patrols. It wasn't just anyone though, it was The Flash himself. Hiro almost lost it when his hero was standing right in front of him. Though The Flash wasn't in such a giddy mood. As he wanted answers as to who he was and how he was able to move so fast.

After the two spent that night going over everything. Hiro begged The Flash to be his trainer and mentor, to train him in being a speedy hero. The Flash mulled it over, before finally reluctantly agreeing. Although at first their relationship was rocky at first, eventually Hiro grew to bond with The Flash, eventually learning his mentor's real name as Barry Allen, and meeting Barry's wife in Central City.

These days Hiro has cheered up big time, a swagger in his step and an attitude he hasn't had in years. Going from quiet and hidden to loud and class clown. But every once in a while he'll get a signal from his mentor to suit up in his much better looking gear, and get to the US or where ever in a moment's notice.

Hiro's got to go be a superhero, and his damn proud of it.

How is this character different: Besides the fact his Japanese and isn't actually related to Barry this time?
Luke stayed paused in the room, hand still outreached to Orbit even though it meant nothing now. Slowly and awkwardly he watched the others leave as he glanced around and saw them exiting. Looking back over at Batson, Luke only got an awkward shrug from the mentor as he sighed realizing the crappiness of it all. Scratching the back of his head Luke left deciding he needed to get his car at least, maybe just get some stuff for his apartment at least.

As Luke took his time, strolling down the streets outside. He glanced up at the sunny sky through his shades. He had arranged to have his new car dropped off away from the HQ so there wouldn't be any clues given out as to its location or where one can access it. Lord knows they've had enough house guests already. Finally he met with the two gentlemen from the car shop, and got a look at his brand new ride. A dark cherry red Lamoghini Gallardo. Given a tune up, better sound system, and much more comfortable seats. It was a gorgeous ride worthy of anyone with a taste for European sports cars. Luke paid for the work their shop had done, leaving in a fat tip in for a thank you on the job being in such short notice. Finally Luke slid in nice and easy. Feeling the fine leather seating cushion him, gripping the steering wheel. Turning on the engine gave him a thrill that coursed through his veins comparable to the superhero lifestyle itself.

Driving around the city aimlessly, people gazing over and wondering who was driving behind the black tinted windows. Luke thought about the others, Orbit especially. How just beaten up she looked, sounded, just seemed to feel in general. Luke paused at a stop light, thinking about what she said when suddenly an idea, and a smile from said idea, creep onto his face. Quickly Luke punched into the GPS to look for a computer store. Pulling away as the light turned green. He knew the perfect pick-me-up for her....
Because Hillan couldn't see it on skype I'm posting the image on here, and its my idea... which I hope he'll let me do since even though it is technically two characters, they are awesome potential.

I have an idea for this but Hillan you need to stop doing your mime impression on skype and like let me tell you it....
Yeah sorry for not posting anything either, I still want to be a part of this but I can't make myself focus on it quite like I used too. Regardless I'll try to do something this weekend.
Trying to work on it....
