IT LIVVVVVEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!

Also one note I want to throw in, and probably should of mentioned at the beginning. I don't particularly mind not having Mega Man himself for this. I'm very much open to plenty of other characters, Zero, Quick Man, so on...
I'm giving this one more chance...

I like the time traveler idea more, not as used as often...
Name: Sho Hayashi
Age: 23
Alias: Naitoshadou (Night Shadow)
Gender: Male
Previous City of Operation: Tokyo, Japan

Appearance:
Civilian –

Costumed –
Powers: Having taken part in once thought to be long forgotten rituals and training. Sho has gained the ability to shapeshift himself in numerous ways. He can stretch limbs or his body, change his face to appear as someone else, or other countless feats.
Abilities/Skills: On top of his shape shifting abilities, Sho has years of training in what is true ninjitsu combat. Able to fight and more importantly move both silently and effectively. Along with that Sho is quite skilled in lock picking.
Equipment: Sho keeps in his gear throwing knives but most notably his katana. Given to him by his elders its a blade forged eons ago, and is still as sharp as it ever was.
Weakness: Sho's shape shifting ability is more mythical by nature than something genetic. So Sho needs some focus to be able to use his powers. If he gets dizzied, or put into a state of mental haziness. His powers won't work and can even malfunction on him. Leaving him very vulnerable if his mentally drained or strained enough.

Personality: Sho is a quiet, but friendly soul. He is prideful in his training and abilities and doesn't like having it questioned. Given his background Sho isn't as familiar as he should be with modern tech and pop culture.
History: Sho's parents were both considered Japanese royalty, wealthy, and the class of the city of Tokyo. The both of them in secret were funneling money through the Yakuza. Though they had a classy demeanor on the outside, the pair were ruthless when it came to their business. Over the years they had certainly gained their enemies. Even as the parents had a child in Sho, their enemies still ruthlessly waited for a chance to get at them. It all finally came to a head on a boat out in the Pacific Ocean. The scene was violent, blood spilled everywhere, and the boat was burned to hide the evidence of Mr and Mrs Hayashi's death. However little baby Sho was also on the boat, having been spared a murder but left to burn and sink. If it wasn't for an intervention by a mysterious group of people Sho would've died.

The group of people came to the boat seeing it burn from a distance, only planning to see what they could steal from it when they came across Sho. They took the baby from his burning soon to be grave. Returning him to their home. A relatively small island which is home of a clan of men and women. Founded in ancient times as a means to dethrone the filthy empires they saw as plaguing Japan. Generations have passed, but the island's residents still hold the traditions and training in the art of the ninja.

Sho grew up unaware of his real parents and their lives. As far as he was concerned he was just as important as anyone else on the island. He trained and learned with the other young kids on the island. But unlike them, Sho had real genuine skills he was able to show in his training. Impressing his elders Sho by the time he was a teen earned the right to be a part of a ritual that was both dangerous and life changing. The process was long, painful, and by the end of the fifth day draining. However Sho was able to achieve a new level of control of his body. Allowing him to shape shift it at will. When he grew to proper age Sho left the island and returned to Tokyo. When he saw the crime and corruptions going through the city. Sho dawned his gear and began cleaning up the city as only he could. He never killed, but his presence became threatening enough. Soon the media dubbed him Naitoshadou but his actual being is still not believed by all. As no photos of him have ever surfaced and the only people who have seen him were the criminals he left for the police.

Other: Mango.
Eh why not I'm in... so fucking bored waiting for stuff on this site...
Is there a hold up on anyone wanting to join?

20XX -
In the dawn of a new era in technology, robotics achieved previously inconceivable advancements thanks in part to a small group of scientists. Dr. Thomas Light, Dr. Albert Wily, Dr. Norman Cain, and Dr. Mikhail Cossack, each hailing from different countries, and ways of life. Each came together to create a new form of robotic life. Known as 'reploids', these advance robotic lifeforms can achieve inhuman abilities. Plus although they can typically modify their form to an extent, usually having a battle armor they can morph their body into, they appear completely human. Originally they were only going to have programmable behavior and knowledge, but it was decided after a lengthy argument among the scientists to give them free will. The few original reploids gave way to a legion of more, able to perform specific work for corporations.

Despite all this though the public were divided on these advance devices. Some saw them as a way to help improve every aspect of life, others worried that the reploids would eventually revolt against their creators. However despite that the start of this new age was peaceful, and a hopeful beautiful future. Soon though a strange, but deathly serious epidemic struck, known as 'Sigma Virus', it effects normal reploids, turning them evil and violent towards anyone and anything. The reploids who became effected by this became known as 'maverick reploids' by the media.

As fear over this epidemic rose, the four scientists worked alongside international powers to create The Maverick Hunters Alliance. Along with other scientists, they created or modified reploids to help combat mavericks and hopefully find a source of where the Sigma Virus came from and how to stop it. As the Alliance has come together, the maverick hunters must work together to end the madness brought on the future world.

Guide to the world:

The setting: Set in various places in the world, Rise of the Maverick Hunters takes place in a not-too-distant future setting. Flying cars exist but aren't super common yet, so it still normal to see normal cars on the road and flying cars above. Cities have grown and illuminated in lights and video ad screens. Though society has evolved the desolate parts of the world still exist. Its not a euphoria or a distopian, but rather a middle ground leaning towards euphorian.

Reploid basics:

Reploids have a complete system of recently created metals and technology. Allowing reploids typically to be much stronger (on average able to life 3 tons) and speed (able to reach 60 mph) than normal humans. Though with some adjustments have been made to make them much faster or stronger than others, at the cost of losing whatever helps them otherwise. Others have unique modifications put into them. Able to achieve flight, have combustible systems for creating or spewing fires, or something else of the sort.

The idea of the idea is essentially combining the backstories of the Mega Man and Mega Man X stories into a single set up. While canon characters are preferred, either original robot masters or characters like Zero or Bass. OCs are acceptable as well if they're abilities are pre-approved. The RP will involve missions around the world, with chunks of the reploids also having R n' R from time to time as well.
I'm working on something new RP wise because the Fantastic Four post is sadly coming along very slowly. Since the others are getting hit hard by life by the sound of things.
Can't wait to give Northstar so many elf ear jokes...
