Powers - Able to stretch, form, compress, and otherwise handle his malleable body up to three miles worth. Because of his powers Andrew can easily survive bullets of a certain caliber, knife or sharp objects, and even puncturing of a needle. Also, Andrew can use his powers to grow in height and size. The max being 50 feet tall. Though he considers this a last ditch move considering its weaknesses.
Weaknesses - For his powers, temperature can play a big part in how well Elastik can perform. Cold weathers, at about 20 degrees or lower, make it harder for him to stretch, and if his cold enough he can become brittle enough that moving in general hurts him. He has an insulated version of his suit for colder days, but it can all still pose problems in the coldest months of the year. Hot weather have the opposite effect on him too. As he can have trouble keeping his body together and not come off looking like he’s melting. Again, he has a suit for those days, but it once again can make for crappy summer days.
Elastik’s giant move is his biggest sore spot if he isn’t careful. Even though he becomes stronger doing so. He loses a lot of the endurance and protection from weapons he had before. As his body loses a lot of its elasticity being stretched out like such. Also, for all the mass he gains, it makes getting knocked down harder to get back up from.
Personality - Adventurous, Lovable, Loud
Appearance -
Standing at around 6’1 normally Andrew is a lean muscular framed good looking young man. The most notable thing about him is a side effect of him getting his power, which turned his hair a shiny silver. He figured he would have to be open about his hero identity out there. However not only has it worked out for him, it has become a thing ladies like about him. The suit itself is made of adaptable nanomachines, a gift from another superhero on his birthday last year. It's designed to be completely in tune with his elastic powers without any kind of discomfort or adjusting needed. Its such an advance system, he can cut part of it off, and not only would it reform, he can use the trimmed up part to turn into some other kind of clothing.
BRIEF Bio - On top of being a young hero in the city, Andrew has often been around town late night performing in various rock bands or doing a DJ set. Often times using his local celebrity status as a means to let other heroes into the show incognito as ‘friends’. Often making him someone who other heroes turn to for some well deserved R&R.
Born outside of Engine City in a small suburbs, Andrew always aspired to be a musician. Learning piano first, then guitar, violin, and finally DJ equipment. His walls sprawled with the trophies and awards of numerous local young musician, band, orchestra, and talent show competitions. Being a superhero never at all crossed Andrew’s mind, though he did like a little thrill seeking every now and then. When one day though he went down to an old factory just outside of town since it was a great place for biking around. He quickly realized that the place was being robbed by criminals trying to take some of the factory’s old chemicals. He tried to stop them in secret, by strapping old nails to their truck’s tires while they were putting the chemicals in. However it backfired on Andrew in a way, as one of the barrels fell out and broke open, the lid nailing Andrew in the head and getting him covered in a weird slimy green substance. He quickly ran home, called the police about the truck, showered, and went to bed with his parents never the wiser about what happened.
When Andrew woke up the next morning, his body a noodle like mess all over the bed. It didn’t take long for him to realize what was going on. He worked feverishly to control his powers. Finally as he graduated high school he moved to Engine City. Wanting to open his own nightclub eventually and become another one of the city’s great heroes.
