Hey all. I see everyone is posted, I think. Or at least everyone who has a CS. Please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a long day and Java screws with a man's mind. Anyways, I plan to post a plot advancement post a little later tonight. I will be assuming you are all on the island, and no one has yet found the underground fortress. (Hint, Sonam is closest). So if any of you would like to post about your travels or anything else, please post before later tonight (idk, 4-5 hours from now). If you have not posted, you will be assumed to be wandering around a marketplace, and you will be brought to the WarChamber.

Hey sorry guys. I won't get the plot progression up tonight. It's like 3 AM here and I'm wiped. I've been doing java homework with some calculus stuff and yeah. I will probably get it up tomorrow night. I'd do it in the afternoon, but I have to interview this elderly gentleman with a stutter for a story that I'm writing, so it could take a while. If anyone wants to add some filler post about exploring Roku's Island, or their transport there, go right ahead.

Just finished editing my first post. Sonam is a military machine. There's no way she's going to "appreciate" Ave's flippant attitude. It'll be fun! :D

Hey, just a side note. There are no non-benders outside of the non-bending nations. Advanced genetics have pretty much eliminated non-benders coming from bending nations. There are really weak benders but no non-benders.
It's okay with me :)

Why thank you good sir/madam. I'll do just that after I finish some Spanish homework. <_>

Also, some of the hawks know where they're going. Very specially trained. They recognize faces and smells. It's doubtful Baqwis's group wouldn't have been picked, not saying the target was Baqwis, but that someone in his group probably was the target. So, if your bending potential/skill is there but not a commonly known thing, you'll get a letter.
I know the pace has been slow, but we will give a little time to get everyone started. When we get off of the ground, we'll see how things float.

Yumiko, 'Yumi' :Fire Nation, OkuGender: FemaleAge: 18Ability : Firebending Weapon of Choice : Bow and Arrow[b]Biography :Yumi is the crown Princess of the Fire Nation and the daughter of the current Fire Lord and Fire Lord's wife, she grew up in this era which is full of relentless corruption that disrupted the balance of the world, at a young age, Yumi is kept in the dark by her parents due to their workaholic nature and industrial establishment, this obsession unfortunately led to many wrong doings and molded the fate of the fire nation into the imbalanced country today. When there's a cause, there's always an effect that will shape the fate of not only a country but the future, thanks to the Fire Lord's antagonism, selected fire nation Special Information (any quirks we should know about):WIP, busy.

Just letting you know, but there is no Fire Lord or Royalty anymore. There also is no Fire Nation. It's called Oku, is half the size the old Fire Nation was and has a President. President Roma. I'm okay with your character being politically important, but keep that in mind when you rewrite the bio.

Still accepting?

Technically no, but please submit a CS as we are waiting on two people who said they'd submit CS's and haven't yet. If you submit a CS, they don't, and everyone else who has already submitted a CS and gotten approved posts in the IC, you will take one of their spots. If they do both submit CS's before the IC is waiting on them, you will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted if someone drops out or whatnot.
"Mike. Call me Mike."

Mikael snapped his fingers at the end of the cig, and a spark came from what appeared to be thin air to light the cig. He took a deep drag, letting the smoke float through his lungs and then back out of his nose. The feeling was different for some reason. Then he realized what was wrong; he had forgotten about the filter. Mikael was used to rolling his own. He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and ripped of the filter. He placed the cig back into his mouth and pulled the sickly sweet fumes deep into his lungs. A small cough escaped his lips, barely noticeable.

Now a little more relaxed, he glanced around the room. The sight should have shocked him, but it didn't. His nerves seemed to be made of steel since he found out he could shoot sparks from his fingers. The people here sure were weird, but he was much more interested in the man who seemed to know something about this place.

He just watched as the confrontation between the decorated man and one of the ladies who had been here. His face twisted into a scowl.

"What the hell is all going on here? I'm not going to approach a man of such high rank, like some of, what I suppose are my companions, but I do want answers. You ask us what we are doing here, but with those marks, I know you know more than anyone else here. I say this with all due respect, Sir."

The last statement couldn't have dripped more with malice and contempt, except, of course, the last word of that sentence.
Sorry all about the delay. I got into the Nosgoth Alpha test, have been coding in Java (evil in it's true form), and other stuffs. I finally got the IC posted, so hit it everyone. Also, check out Nobunaga the Fool on Crunchyroll. It's pretty amazing.
The empty plates and mugs rattled as everyone jumped back. Lei Sheng had slammed his fist into the table, a sign of pure frustration.

”Damnit. We can’t keep losing men like this. This is the third time this month we’ve had an entire squad disappear. Do any of you know how hard it is to find people who are brave enough to stand up against His Majesty? And then to find people who actually have the talent to do so? Let me tell you this, it’s not done overnight. That last group, we had spent three years training that group. Ridiculous.”

Lei Sheng shook his head, desperate for answers. Recently, entire squads, 7 men and a commander of higher rank, had been disappearing without a trace. He knew the Dark Avatar had been taking them. If only he could figure out what to do about it. Training wasn’t really an option anymore. The Jasmine Dragon had been taking talented children from dissenting families for years, and look where it all ended up. The Jasmine Dragon would spend resources and time raising kids to be war machines, only to have them kidnapped and more than likely brainwashed to fight against the cause mere weeks after graduating.

The system was flawed and everyone in attendance, few as they were, knew it. Something had to give. Lei Sheng’s face grew dark, his gaze shifted down.

”Do it.”

Everyone in the room was stunned. They prepared to do it.
The next day, specially trained hawks carried out messages to all corners of the world. Lei Sheng had ordered what many people thought was incredibly stupid, not to mention dangerous. Lei Sheng was exposing the entire operation to the public. He was also opening the possibility that one of the letters would end up in the hands of a secret Dark Avatar soldier. Even though the Jasmine Dragon followed most prospects closely, they simply didn’t have the resources to watch every great bender all the time. All they could do was hope.

Victor Cannae Erde Male 20 Earthbending Halberd Victor grew up as the second of three children in a modestly wealthy, and very traditional, family, never getting quite as much attention from his parents as either his brother or his sister. He was more than okay with this, however, as it gave him more time to himself and opportunities to observe the behaviors of those around hims, which became one of his most common pastimes at an early age. With his father grooming his older brother to eventually take over the business, and his mother trying to teach his younger sister the more delicate arts in the hopes that she may one day grow into a "proper lady," Victor was often left to his own devices. This often meant that he would find a good perch from which to watch the people of Erde go by and just see what he could learn by observing. When he eventually found himself on a perch overlooking the training yard of one of the barracks, he was enthralled by both the bending and combat training going on below him, and wound up returning to that same perch every day for the next couple of weeks, memorizing the practice routines and mimicking them later so that he could be like all the men in their fancy uniforms.A captain of the guard soon began to notice the little face watching from his perch nearly every day, and called him down to talk. After hearing Victor's story, he scrawled out a brief note, which he then sealed and handed to Victor with instructions to take the letter to a certain old friend of the captain the next day. Victor then nodded and started running home, stopping to turn back and throw something very closely resembling a guardsman's salute at the captain before carrying on the rest of the way home. When he followed the captain's instructions the next day, he found himself knocking on a door decorated with a dragon winding through a field of white flowers. The man who answered seemed slightly older than the captain, and was rather gruff until Victor showed him the seal on his letter, at which point he invited Victor in to a sitting room while he broke open the letter and scanned through it. He then said that, while he wouldn't normally take such a young pupil, he trusted the captain's opinion, and would give Victor a chance. Victor was to report to him when the sun rose each morning, and stay to learn until the sun had set.Over the following years, the Victor progressed from basic staff-work through to practice with real halberds, and from basic meditation exercises to center himself and bend more efficiently to full-on bending combat trials designed to see how long he could last before his own bending broke him and push him further. He eventually grew stagnant with the defensive nature of the combat he was learning, and asked his teacher what he would have to do to learn other styles, in case there was ever a situation in which the mostly defensive techniques he was being taught would not be sufficient. Pleasantly surprised by the question, his teacher told him that him asking that question was sufficient, and that he was ready to go out in search of a new teacher. He then dug out a small token, about the size of a coin, telling Victor to look for the dragon on his door, and that, as long as he had the token, or his teacher's name, a new teacher would not be too far to find. Over the next few days, he continued training with his teacher on a lighter schedule, using the extra time to make arrangements before he left. On the day of his 16th birthday, Victor finally left the city, going out to explore and learn, getting work when he could to supplement his funds, working as anything from hired help to a mercenary, occasionally finding his teacher's dragon painted on a door or wall. He would sometimes find a new teacher there, though he never stayed with them very long (maybe a couple of months at most), and he would also often find jobs there, some of which would have him working with other types of benders. When between teachers, Victor would revert to his childhood method of learning by simply observing those around him and mimicking their techniques until he could incorporate them into his own. Has been maintaining his original teacher's strict training regimen, including meditation and bending practice, to continue improving both his stamina and proficiency. Has also been observing the styles of very different benders, attempting to incorporate their bending techniques into his earthbending, and has also been trying to teach himself metalbending (though the progress on that particular front has been rather slow).

I know I said I wasn't going to do this, but you are accepted as well. You're formation of the Jasmine Dragon idea with the coin is where I wanted to go and well, you did it, so you get a pass. The one thing is most earthbenders don't even realize they could metalbend, so I would appreciate it if you could add a paragraph or so describing how that came about, or at least the knowledge.
Anyways, I will be typing the first IC post tonight.
