Pete gladly took Ajax's jug of fine Grecian wine, discarding his carton of bilk in the process. Pete took a deep whiff of air from the jug, taking in the heady aroma of the very concept of primitive grapes fermented in a crudely-forged clay oenochoe and carried on a wrestler's person through many years of pitched combat. It smelled... like vinegar dissolved in dog's piss. More importantly, it smelled like really strong alcohol. In one quick motion, Pete quaffed the jug, succeeding only at drenching his mask in powerful spirits. What little alcohol reached Pete's tongue curdled his saliva and boiled away his tastebuds. The heady stench of the wine seeping into his mask did more to make Pete drunk than half a beaker of Gargle Blaster ever did. Pete was driven so far into intoxication that he shot out through the limit and back into nightmarishly clear sobriety. In short, Cuban Pete was blind, stinking knurd. It was a good pain.
How much have I missed in Siberia?
The entire defense force on the surface has been neutralized, those who surrendered are now being recruited, apparently there's generic T-Virus zombies in your main facility, and nine SE commandos are in the main entrance to the labs proper.
When told to speak with the lieutenant if he needed more information, Cliff just adressed the group of soldiers in general, the gun in his hand vanishing as he rubbed his eyes to maybe make them feel a bit better, reduce the stinging a bit and all. "Ah jeez, don't you guys have something for my eyes? Anyway, more information, yes, I need all of it. Last time I took a job in the dark it went horribly and now here I am. Who is this Red Queen? Is she a hot redhead? Where can I find her? Making a woman come with me is gonna be easy. Anyway, how the crap do I find a specific virus sample in this place? As for the last guy...eh, fancy title, probably a nerd, won't be hard to convince. "Hey come with me or I'll shoot your face". Err...as long as he's not too heavily protected. He's not, is he?".
As squads Alpha and Zeta filed into the facility, Ingvar regrouped with Otik Horak and Flint Marko to respond to Clifford Nobles' questions. Flint, being the one with the most education, decided to take charge in the briefing. "Alright, buddy. Lessee here... We don't got anything for your eyes, 'less you wanna wash your eyes out with snow (which I don't recommend; 'sall bloody here); the Red Queen ain't a lady, it's an Artificial Intelligence and it ain't too friendly with non-Umbrella personnel; we sure as hell don't know where you'll find a pure copy of the C-Virus, which is why we're huntin' down the Red Queen and the research director; Simmons ain't the kinda guy to go down easy, judging by what we got from his dossier. Simply put, you two're gonna go down with the advance teams, help 'em out with yer powers, an' bring all these things back safely. When yer done with that, we can get to know each other better. Sound good?" Flint Marko gave Clifford a thumbs up, as Julius Aldo piled the trio of turncoat security guards into Squad Epsilon's drop pod. As the last one entered, Julius poked his head out and called out to the group. "I'm going to find out everything these guys know about the facility. I'm going to keep you guys updated, just in case something important comes up! Be back in an hour, I suppose!"
Neo-Umbrella's Siberian Facility Entrance Hallway What greeted Squad Gamma was a scene of carnage. Rotten chunks of zombie flesh and BOW bits were strewn everywhere, evidently severed by a weapon too large to be wielded by any regular human. Gawking at the scene in disgust, Sergeant David Leatherhoff reported in. "Advance team, here. We've got evidence that the scientists have been turning. The bodies don't look like they were turned by the C-Virus; I guess this lab's got samples of every damn bioweapon these whitecoats could get their hands on. Private Orochi, you said you caught a Roamer. What was he wielding, perchance?" "Ah, nothing but a greatsword and a crossbow. What state are the bodies in?" "Cleaved apart by massive shear force. I'm seeing a few bolts in one of the Lickers, too." "That must be our man, then. Silverback, remember to screen this guy for possible infection." Leatherhoff looked around the hallway. It was a fairly generic affair, with rooms on each side leading to another airlock. In total, there were about nine doors, not including the one the squad came through. David Leatherhoff nodded, and signaled his two squaddies to move to the doors immediately to the left and right. "Alright, I'm gonna need two more squads in here to sweep every room. Alpha and Zeta, that's you. Beta and Epsilon, you'll stay up top to ensure we don't get any unwanted attention. Eta and Delta, I'm going to need you on standby. Judging by the welcome wagon, I'd say whatever is in this lab isn't going to be very accommodating. Switch ammo to Incendiary, please. I don't want any of us to blow this whole damn place to kingdom come because a shockwave activated some experimental bombs."
Ah, there it is. Thank you for pointing it out.
The previous post you made was still in Hyrule, it seems. I think your post was lost somewhere.
Wait, how did it manage to follow the group here from Hyrule? Did Kalama teleport everyone in the area?
Where did the strongman puppet come from? Did he just randomly teleport into the middle of everyone? Also, you've still got that terrible habit of making everything happen in the present tense.
Julius massaged his temples with his hands. This was going to be harder than he thought. "It doesn't matter what the biggest city here is, you're not going to it. This isn't... alright, listen: this isn't your... country. If you went to a city here, you'd stick out like a sore thumb and get lynched or something. This is something we're trying to avoid, as well... we're foreigners, you see. Just... tell me the name of whatever pile of dirt and incest you call a homeland, and we can send you packing back there."
Julius wracked his brain for what to do when a primitive Roamer asks for something that would require showing them advanced technology. He vaguely remembered "draw parallels to what they already know" and decided to roll with that. "Yyyes, we do have a boat. It's a custom-built one, in fact. We'll use it to bring you back to... where are you from, exactly?" Meanwhile, back in the warehouse, Delta Squad formed up around the entrance to the facility's labs. A small array of breaching charges had been wired on each of the door's corners, leading to a small detonator in Private Ronly Jones's hand. "Alright," Pelinal Jirich announced to the squad, "blow charges in 3...2...1!" With an ear-shattering BANG!, the door was blown open. Cool air blowed into the facility's halls as the last residual particles of tear gas settled down. Jack Morgan smiled gently and spoke into his comms. "Gamma Squad, you take point. Silverback's got himself a little informant, I hear. Everyone, maintain radio contact at all times; if I don't hear anything from you, we're assuming you're in trouble."
