Personality: Unsure of who she is at the moment, she has massive mood swings. Sometimes she wants to be the one everyone likes, sometimes she just wants to be alone. Most of her personality will come out in what I write IC, but for the most part she’s really nice. A bit of a goodie-two-shoes, but that could change.

Short bio: Amelie lives at home with her mum. Her dad was a fire-fighter and passed away when she was young, but she keeps a picture of him in her purse and another in a little frame on her bedside table. She’s really good at school and teachers have high expectations of her. The emo phase she went though was kind of a rebellion, but she’s not really sure why she bothered because it definitely didn’t suit her. For now she’s just concentrating on school and trying to find out who she really wants to be.

Style: Just came out of an emo/scene phase and now is unsure where she fits in

The Asylum

“It’s not fair” Damon moaned at his parents, “I wasn't supposed to leave for another week! I didn't even get chance to say goodbye to my friends”. It was a small lie. Damon did have friends, but no one he would want to say goodbye to. His parents didn't even reply, his mother just turned around from the front seat and gave him a steely look. He wasn't even supposed to go to this stupid asylum, he was supposed to spend a little time in his local hospital in the mental health ward for some rest and to get away from the negative thoughts in his home. Then some doctor rang his parents- god knows how they got the number- and promised that they could ‘cure’ Damon.

“Hmmph” grunted Damon in contempt, he wasn't ill and didn't need to be cured. He just needed to work harder, that was all. He shuffled downwards in his seat so he was slouching, pulled up his hood and tried to shut out the world. Even when they arrived at the front gate, he didn't even look up at the place; he merely pretended it didn't exist. However, when someone opened the car door for him he decided not to make a fool of himself, got out of the car and strode proudly towards the front door. He wasn't ill of course, he didn't need dragging away. Damon could feel his heart flutter at the thought of becoming a prisoner here but he managed to get to the door fine before he turned and looked back at his parents who were still stood by the car.

"See you next week, yeah?" he shouted, then entered the asylum.
