It is 2004 and villains are on the move. Lex Luthor and Dr. Doom have teamed up to prototype a temporal resonance bomb that could potentially rewrite history and wipe their enemies from history, giving them the freedom to control the world without any pesky heroes getting in their way. They have been successful in keeping this project a secret from their enemies, taking elaborate measures to keep the existence of the bomb quiet.

Fast forward ten years and Lex and Doom have completed the bomb but there is an issue. In order to work as designed the bomb needs two things. It needs time to charge and lock onto the targets' temporal signatures in order to perform to its specifications, and it needs the targets to be somewhere nearby. Luthor has a plan to get around these limitations. He is going to plant the bomb in Times Square Manhattan and tell the heroes. In order for this plan to work they will need the heroes to stay in range without being able to defuse or destroy the bomb. To do this Lex and Doom recruit every villain they can name to help keep the heroes back and draw the heroes in.

The bomb has been planted, the villains are in attendance and the heroes, all of the heroes, are converging on Manhattan.

The battle is long, violent, hectic. The sheer number of heroes and villains in Manhattan is enough to level the city if the battle gets out of hand. As the battle continues and the bomb gets closer to completing its task a small group of heroes break through the defence and make it to the bomb. It isn't yet ready and Lex wants to fire, Doom protests saying that without having the proper amount of time to charge the effects will be unpredictable. Lex doesn't care and in his panic fires the bomb. Waves are sent out through time and space and the universe is flipped on its head. Doom was right, the effects of the uncharged bomb was unpredictable, it altered the histories of every person within range, erasing the communities or organizations they founded and altering their personal histories. Some people vanished from history, some were born in completely different centuries, some are forced together into an amalgam of two people and others are born or raised under different circumstances (sometimes in multiple places at once leading to multiples of the same person walking around), changing their view of the world and motivations for what they do, turning some heroes into villains. The worst part of it is, nobody remembers why it happened, but they are all haunted by the feeling that something isn't right.
Hank McCoy
Hank was rummaging through a trash can in an alley behind an Italian restaurant when he was struck by the feeling that something wasn't right. He looked around him but he was alone. A warm breeze drifted into the alley, bringing with it the scents of the restaurant but nothing out of the ordinary. Hank just grunted and went back to his scavenging, the blue fur up to his elbows sticky with tomato sauce and cheese as he rummaged through the bags, looking for something that wasn't dusted with rat poison. "Damn rats, ruining it for everyone else." he mumbled under his breath.

After rummaging through the trash and finding nothing he could eat Hank decided to go and wash his arms somewhere and headed out of the alley, off to find somewhere he could wash up. Probably the park, I could wash up in the pond and nobody would really care. Hank thought to himself, wiping some of the sauce and cheese off his arms as he walked, leaving puddles of red sauce and lumps of cheese in his wake for the first ten feet or so.
Kurt Halner
Kurt was relaxing in his apartment, admiring a painting he had recently "rescued" from a wealthy man's home while enjoying a fine aged wine he had relieved from the same man when he was struck by the sense that something was amiss and he disappeared in a cloud of smoke that reeked of sulphur, his wine glass falling to the floor as he reappeared a mere moment later sticking to his ceiling and blending into the shadows in the corner. He stayed in his corner for several minutes, waiting for police to burst into his apartment to arrest him and seize all of his possessions. When Kurt was satisfied that nobody was there he climbed slowly down off the wall and decided that it was time to leave for a while and clear his head. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong as he put on a sports coat and loafers and left his apartment, drawing all kinds of looks from the people in the street because of his blue skin and tail.

Kurt walked down the street, ignoring the looks from others until he passed a man walking down the street that towered above the rest. The man was a little too preoccupied with wiping tomato sauce and cheese off his arms to notice Kurt but boy did Kurt notice him. "Big guy, wow." Kurt said as he stopped, watching the big guy pass, seeing the fur and the feline face hidden behind a hood before continuing on his way, deciding he would see what he could see, something was off and he wanted to find out what it was.

Base Character: thor+red tornadoName: ThorandoAlias: ThorandoGender: Robot (male)Age: built over 2000 years agoAppearance (description/picture): Costume: Same as aboveHero/Villain: heroPersonality/motives: walks the line between logic and going with your gut.Powers: Has control over thunder, lighting and the winds, extreamly strong History: He is a ancient robot built to observe the realm if midgaurd, when he witnessed the hate and turmoil the realm was going though he left his post and protected a small remote island from a volcano, when he returned to his post he was banished for disobeying his programing, he was sent to midgaurd.

I think Thornado needs some revision. It isn't a bad idea at all, I just feel like the personality and history need to be fleshed out a little more. Other than that he's acceptable.

Doctor Doom And Baron Mordo: Victor Von Doom Male 55 years old Unpredictable|Anti-Hero, or at worst, Anti-Villain He sees himself as needing to be the most powerful inhabitant of the entire world, not just for personal gain, although that sure is nice, but so he can protect the people in the world. He is arrogant, a braggart and prideful. Sometimes, he has even forgotten his virtues altogether and has gone on petty quests for revenge. He has expanded Latveria from a tiny island in the Atlantic Ocean into a much larger country, and has been a very competent and benevolent leader, causing the country to thrive even more than the nations of Qatar, Japan and the United States. Baron Von Doom is an extremely powerful magic-user and super humanly intelligent scientist. He can fight with both technological innovation and extremely potent spells that can make even most renowned and famous sorcerers cringe at the thought of face him. He is enormously good at planning and manipulation. Far less important, but still very important is the fact he can lift up to 2 tons in his armor. (His armor, by the way, is enormously durable, and guards him against many mundane and magical/cosmic assaults, but is far from invulnerable). Baron Doom is an extremely powerful Sorcerer and an indescribably intelligent scientist. He was a competitor in science with Reed Richards and a competitor in Sorcery with Doctor Stephen Strange. Victor Von Doom had a science experiment which he attempted to launch despite Dr. Richard's protests that it wasn't safe. In the aftermath, his face was scarred, and unable to be restored with facial reconstructive surgery. Later he journeyed to the Himalayas and made his way with Stephen Strange to the top of the mountain where the Ancient One taught magical secrets. Victor learned magical powers that he thought was impossible, and he earned much praise from the Ancient One for his magical genius. Stephen Strange, however, proved to be highly more powerful and skilled with the magical arts. Stephen Strange earned the title of Sorcerer Supreme even though Doom thought he was a better sorcerer. At first Doom was not too disappointed. He had thought that he could at least finally learn how to restore his face with the right magical spell. The Ancient One sadly informed him that because of the Cosmic nature of his experiment, and the energy that had wounded him, it would take until Doom was a very old man until he could restore his image. Victor Von Doom thought that the Ancient One had been deceiving him and leading him into a false hope, toying with him for amusement. As a result, Victor Von Doom murdered him, despite the Ancient One's far superior experience and magical powers, through the use of an artifact, called the Sceptre of Dormammu. As a result, Victor Von Doom had weakened the Earth Dimension's defenses against Dormammu, allowing the alien god access into the world. Doctor Strange took the artifact from Victor Von Doom, and defeated him in a duel of Sorcery. Doom was cast out of the Ancient One's dwelling on the mountain top. For the next few years Baron Von Doom had a staunch rivalry with both Stephen Strange and Reed Richards. He feigned a peaceful gesture and invited them both to a Complex on the island that would become the Kingdom of Latveria in later times. His ruse was so well put on, acted and charming, that it worked. When Stephen and Reed had both arrived on the shores of Latveria, they were welcomed by hospitable people and enjoyed themselves, at first. Unfortunately the fun times were not to last. After the first hours on the island, they found themselves unconscious, and in the presence of a gloating Baron Von Doom. Doom planned to scar them both as revenge for their opposition, and nearly succeeded. Fortunately for Doctor Fantastic (Reed Richards), and Doctor Strange, Zatanna, Clea, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and Thing all arrived and defeated the Sorcerer. For the past handful of years Victor Von Doom has proven to be significantly more well behaved and honest. He has protected the world against Galactus during his last asault on Earth, and has been looked on as less of a threat than previously. He merely wants to be a great ruler, sorcerer and man of knowledge now. Petty revenge is no longer in his interests.

Baron Von Doom is accepted.
Oh my god. Fox ears. Must... Not... Touch... *hands tremble*

Also I think they're still accepting, you have pretty much perfect timing, I think he's waiting for just one more person to join before he closes it.
Yeah, I'm pretty much doing the same waiting for some RPs to accept my character or start up. I'm also waiting to see if my Darkness 2 RP gets any interest but so far no dice, I only got one other person interested in it so I'm not really doing much RPing at the moment, mostly waiting.
I'm not sure, Cassowarysaur is the GM so I'm just kind of waiting for him to post the first one. I figure he's either busy, which he can't help, or he's trying to put together a really good post, which is a good reason to take a while in my opinion. He'll start it soon I think.
I know the only other person to know where he is from was LovelyAnastasia and I was supposed to have it be well known enough that two people would recognize it but I thought I'd put this up and see what you thought about him.

There is a German version that is pretty close to that actually. There's an iconic image of the donkey with the other three animals stack on its back as they peek into the window at the robbers.

There are a few different versions of the story, in the Celtic one I'm using as my basis (if I'm allowed to use it) he rescues the donkey from drowning in a bog, he feeds the cat when it's starving to death, he saves the dog from a crowd that want to kill and possibly eat him and he rescues the rooster from a fox that's chasing it and that's why they go with him and why, in my alternate version, are unendingly loyal to him.
I haven't played Armored Core in AGES but I think I'd be interested in this. Scratch that, I'd love this!
LovelyAnastasia said I have heard of the second story by the way.

WHOO! Someone who knows a fairly obscure Irish tale!

1) Yes2) Well enough that atleast 2 of us here know it

Jack and His Comrades? Probably not right? Either that or The Black Thief and Knight of the Glen.

The first is an Irish story about a boy who goes to seek his fortune and befriends a donkey named Neddy, a dog named Coley, a cat named Tom, and a rooster referred to in Irish as Cuileach Dhu who all help him find his fortune by tricking some robbers, they then return the gold to the king it was stolen from and he rewards them by making the boy his steward. My version would be that he and the animals work together to rob and murder the king. The character would be Jack and his ability would be the fact that he can talk to these four animals and they are unendingly loyal to him for saving them all.

The second is another Irish tale of a thief who agrees to help three brothers steal the Knight of the Glen's sword and steed and saves them all by telling tales of his grand adventures. My version would be that he frees himself with a tale and instead of pushing his luck runs off and spreads the story of saving the boys himself. His only ability would be the fact that he's a master thief, so he is a master of sleight of hand, lock picking, pickpocketing, etc.
