It has been 97 years after a devastating nuclear war wiped out almost all life on Earth. The only survivors are the residents of twelve space stations in Earth's orbit prior to the war. The space stations banded together to form a single massive station named "The Ark", where about 2,400 people live. Resources are scarce and all crimes no matter their nature or severity are punishable by death ("floating" or in this case, being thrown into the vacuum of space.) unless the perpetrator is under 18 years of age, if the criminal is under the age of 18 they are placed in a isolation unit that resembles a prison. After the Ark's life support systems are found to be critically failing, one hundred juvenile prisoners are declared "expendable" and sent to the surface in a last ditch attempt to determine if Earth is habitable again.

"Taki..." She mumbled, her voice smooth like velvet as she spoke his name. Luciana stood up and sauntered to the front door, she gently pushed the door open and stood on the front porch of the cabin. A soft wind blew her white hair and carried the end of her silk dress letting it flow in the wind. Her light blue skin contrasted with the deep brown oak of the cabin. "Shall we go for a stroll?" Luciana asked, though Taki should know by now that she didn't care for his opinion. The girl walked off of the front steps, the old oak letting out a long creak as she began walking towards the forests. These were one of her many rare strolls since she rarely ever left her cabin, but Luciana felt somewhat energetic and felt as though maybe she should enjoy herself this afternoon.

Luciana pushed some hair behind her ears allowing her long curved horns to be more defined underneath the sunlight. "Taki, come along." She gestured for her slave to come along.

They say she lived in a quiet cabin in the woods... They say she did nothing but sit and watch others from afar...

Luciana sat in her empty cabin, her hands rested on her lap as she stared out of her cabin window. Her eyes looked so sad and sullen, her expression was void. The young demon had always sat in this cabin of hers, away from civilization. She found herself too unattractive... Too frightening.
Every night before she slept she could hear the voice that called out to her when she was a young girl. 'Would you like to leave?' The voice crooned. It was a burden, a hinderance...

Her fingers curled around her dress as she remembered her past and how foolish she was. For a moment, it seemed, the expression on her face showed slight distaste. Luciana let out a small sigh, and opened up the window to let in some fresh air.

What a sad sad girl she was...
