I'm glad to have you on board! Hopefully there'll be some more interest... I know the interest check is very bare on this one but there is a whole world on my saved on my laptop to be unleashed on the OOC (bit by bit of course).
Ah I'm sorry, when I was reading your post I got the impression he'd climbed to a building top? No worries I'll edit it now!

Edit: There we go, just had to edit two sentences in the end, thankfully!
Bang. Bang. Bang. Three aimed shots, one miss. Dorjan took cover behind a scrap metal sheet which had been turned into a waist-high fence by the settlers of Aurora's End. He cursed the matter that he had one 9mm handgun midst a frenzy of automatic rifle fire. Luckily, with Dorjan's money when he entered the settlement, he had bought more bullets from a shopkeeper named Taffy. It was better than the single bullet he'd had upon entry but Dorjan noticed as he slipped the magazine from his gun that he was running low on bullets, there couldn't be anymore than three shots left, and the wanderer had no more bullets.

Crawling along the length of the metal sheet, Dorjan only showed himself again once he had reached it's end popping up and taking aim. Bang. Thankfully the shot hadn't been a miss, he'd been surprisingly on target with the bullet entering the raider's skull, a pink mist ensued as the lifeless body slumped to the ground in a mess of flesh and metal and leather armor. Dorjan took three deep breaths before raising from the fence again, a number of shots from one of the bandit's rifle, narrowly missing his head. Bang. Another raider felled, this one was shot through the chest and in a spectacular fashion fell into an old car, long since useless, slumped against the side of the front door.

Looking up Dorjan could see a man down the street from himself, taking aim as if to shoot him down, the wanderer realized this was not a bandit, but someone aiding in the fight against the raiders. As far as Dorjan could see, the man was pinned down. Through bullet spray and carnage, Dorjan sprinted towards the car and dived, leading into a roll before coming to the car, almost planting himself into the vehicle. Coming to his senses he took the AK-47 assault rifle that the last bandit he'd killed had been using. His heartbeat raising, it had been a long time since he'd used any hardware like this. Checking the magazine, Dorjan let out a little triumphant hiss, "Yes!" As he stood, aimed and once again fired, this time into the crowd of those who were pinning down the man he had not yet encountered (Jason).

Takatakatakatakatak.

A short burst of assault rifle fire led the raiders surrounding Jason's position to take more cover, now from the flanking attack of Dorjan, as well as the fire being hailed by Jason.

Takatakatak.

Another even shorter burst, felled his first raider of this group.
Right, I suppose it's long overdue that I should make a post. I'm going to get on to that now!
I'll make a post there shortly. Also Zaga, I completely overlooked the matter that your character still had my pipe, so I have Barden puffing away on it in my last post. xD

I'll edit it out. :)
I would post again but don't want to push it with the multi-posting. I know our posts aren't jumping too far ahead chronologically but still, just to be fair. :)
Interested.
No problem, it's almost midnight here. I plan on being asleep by one or two in the morning, but i'll have a look at all new posts in the morning. Any up the next hour or two, I'll read and reply to any that involve me.
Although not literally, in a sense, Barden's ears perked when Elniss mentioned that her roots lay in Blackwood. The matter of her being brought up in the East did not come across as inherently strange to the ranger, although he could not imagine where in the East, Elves would reside. However, Barden's knowledge of the East was nowhere near adequate. Having himself spent much of his childhood and early adulthood in Blackwood, there was an instant feeling of connection of sorts on Barden's behalf towards that of the she-elf.

It was not often that the ranger had heard an elf swear, let alone a she-elf. He smirked and looked down between his boots again. Noticing a blood splatter run up the length of his boot, he tutted. "You must have known then..." He began, looking back up at Elniss who had now walked a few feet from Barden. The brief pause between them led the ranger to believe that maybe she did not understand what he meant. "My bow." He added, "The wood it's carved from, where it originates from." Barden paused again and pushed himself off the trunk of the tree, taking a step towards Elniss, brandishing his bow for her to examine once more.

Beastmen, once having lived in Nomadic tribes, raiding and pillaging villages and towns, have been banded together by a Lord of the beasts. A horned man like beast going by the name of Shador, champion of the Beastmen brought together warbands and forged from them an army, unified under one banner. Hagur-Ur, the northernmost part of the known lands, an already barren land became the makings of an empire, an empire ruled by beasts. However, the intent of this army was to reach far further than Hagur-Ur. The gnarled grasp of the North slowly reaches outside of its domain, clawing at the civilizations of Man and all non-beast.

As the tide of the North begins to sweep across the rest of the lands, Men, Elf and Dwarf prepare for battle against the unstoppable force that rises in the North. As the power of the Beastmen grow, members of all races, corrupted by power flock towards the North in aid and swearing allegiance to the Beastmen's cause in the deceitful promise of power.

A council of the free-races has been drawn together with the intention of forming a band of heroes to take the fight directly to Shador, to the door-step of Hagur-Ur, and this is where your story begins...

The idea behind this is to have an epic-quest style role-play. The plot will be fairly linear and will take part in a world I have been working on for a while. There may be opportunity for a more open free-roam style role-play (as I usually like to do), but for now it will follow a plot that will unravel as the role-play goes on. I won't go on for too long so if you're interested, show it here.

As a note, be aware that the only races playable in this role-play will be Human, Elf, Dwarf and Wizard (yes, they're a race in this role-play, not a class).
