Unless she was headmistress or legal counsel I don't think that would work - and she's too young for headmistress. I think student would be much more fun. Plus that'll give me an opportunity to let her lighten up a little.
I think Eliza would not be part of the family. I think that we'd need to scrap the dynamic between her and Acacia and do something different.
I see Eliza in this as an older student from an extremely wealthy background, aloof, absolutely brilliant, and mostly unapproachable. Somebody with her own goals, that sort of thing. To get her involved in the story she would need to have information or skills Acacia or somebody else needed. I'm still thinking about that.
