Alexis frowned at the duo, still a bit sore about not being able to rip the little machine into shreds. While Zac's kindness had brought her to warmth and food, he was a bit too kind. Did he honestly believe the thing was some form of hostage to be bartered with?

"If you are so intent on accessing the bot's internally stored information, it is much more efficient to link its processor to a computer and read the memory core." Alexis leaned heavily against the wall as she stood, still barely in any shape to move. "It likely contains some manner of beacon or tracking device that will lead unwanted danger towards us. I suggest extracting its information and deconstructing it. I may be able to make use of its miniature wiring and transmitter."

Dx Sorry for taking so long to get a post out! Adele is poised for a solid strike!

Adele was in a cold sweat. While Djonn ought to have been commended for his bravery, she found herself disagreeing with him once again. Surrendering their weapons was an unreasonable demand, but why not just hand over Hemming? Sure, they were paid to protect him, but this was a matter of hostages. Let the outlaws do what they wanted with the liar—her life and those of the nobles that may or may not be alive inside the house were vastly more important.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t a time where she could mouth off. She bit her tongue, eyes flickering to what view she could get of the carriage’s door. Rook was in there… and he and everyone else would be relying on her to give them cover once the fighting broke out. If she somehow screwed things up, there was no doubt that people were going to die. She was certainly in a prime position to play pincushion.

“Damn you, Djonn!” Adele hissed under her breath. She slipped her goggles over her eyes and worked her cannon as subtly as she could manage, trying to focus on notches and numbers instead how just how shaky her fingers were getting. Keys E2 and G6, amp filter set to full power, light filters L5, L7, and L8 for full spread… steady… stay calm… aim for the windows as soon as the door opens!

The driver beside her shuddered, and her breath hitched. She turned her head to growl at him, already at the edge of her nerves. “Don’t bump me!” she warned in a low whisper, “just focus on closing your eyes and slipping off the side of the carriage when the door is opened. You’ll be safe from any crossbow fire from there. If you move after that, you’ll be just as likely to be mistaken for an enemy soldier in the dark.”
Apologies for the late reply! >.> I'm sorry Daxam, I didn't realize you were waiting on me! I didn't really have much to add with the pixie-bot's stuff, so I hadn't intended to write anything. Hopefully my post will give ya something to work with all the same! And again, sorry for being so slow!
Alexis’ face was anything but sympathetic as the tiny machine whined. She could not comprehend why any robot would be programmed to ‘feel’ pain. There were far more efficient means of detecting damage, and the hideously annoying sound the little bot was making rang into her ears and made the more tender parts of them flinch. Her mechanical hand flexed, held back only by Zac’s illogical need to keep the malfunctional thing in one piece.

The sputters of a news reel were lost on Alexis, who found nothing comprehensible in them. There was a strange voice and words of reprimand in Latin, but that was a long dead language and had no meaning she could attribute it to. Perhaps it was some battle mantra? Were the humans at war?

Alexis sighed, fixing a deadpan look on Zac. “If you are going to keep that piece of junk, turn the volume down. Its unpleasant pitch is unsettling my auditory sensors."
x3 Is Daxam still around? I'm not sure how to go about posting from what the pixibot pittered out.
Ahhh! Dun wait for me, Reap. I'm watching the pixiebot's interrogation along with Nemesis.
An alien expression found itself on Alexis’ face. Her lips pursed together, cheeks lightly puffed out as her brows dipped down in an expression of displeasure. She was pouting, yes, pouting at the fact that her target had been moved beyond her grasp. No one had ever come between a foe and her like this, tucking her under one arm and telling her to “not make any rash decisions.” Were she able, she would have reached over and tried to take the pixiebot again out of spite.

Unfortunately, however, she realized that her newly awakened body was not keen on moving. If Zac hadn’t pushed her back, she probably would have been stuck there on top of him. It hadn’t exactly been a calculated move, but what else was she supposed to do? When there was a robot in the area, it was destroy or be broken to pieces.

“Robots cannot feel pain.” Alexis sullenly glared at Zac, then at the hand which held the pixiebot. “You should at least remove its wings and wireless receiver so it cannot conduct reconnaissance or escape.”
:P Take it easy, dewd- I imagine it would be unexpected for full effect, but any way he goes about it would be fun.
Alexis’ face distorted into disgust as the thing’s tongue oozed across her cheek. She promptly leaned away, raising her good arm to push the creature back. The fact that she now had something in common with the mutt—that being rescued and nursed by Zac—made her even more upset. She didn’t want to be lost without a human, but she couldn’t imagine a reality without them. In a world without humans, she couldn’t be repaired. In a world without human, what was there to do but rot and wait for death anyways?

When Zac mentioned food, she gazed curiously at him. “My diet consists of nutritional supplement bars from the lab. Does ‘bread’ fall under the category of one of those?” Something told her it was different, hence the name, but she had, on occasion, seen some of the scientists eat before. They had various… crumbly things or soft puffs of stuff that didn’t resemble bars at all. If they could consume such things, there was no reason she couldn’t, though she wasn’t particularly sure if she wanted to try.

However, before Zac could answer, a tiny voice sounded from the dog’s tail. Something hot sparked within Alexis, and she was Nemesis again, glaring at the tiny robot. The first thing that came to her mind was, spy, and the next was destroy. She jerked forward under Zac’s arm, clumsily leaning over his lap as she tried to grasp the invader—presumably to crush it thereafter.
