Orlan frowned and checked the time on his scroll as Liam excused himself, somewhat dismayed to find himself alone with another stranger so soon. Sure, he saw the necessity of makeing friends, but he had hoped to keep it relatively simple on the first day. A moment of indecision later, he raised his eyebrows without looking up from his scroll as though something had just come to his attention.

"Sorry, Renji, but it looks like I've got to go too. It was nice to meet you. Perhaps we will have the chance to talk again later tonight. Your display with your weapon earlier was impressive, by the way. I look forward to seeing you in combat," he says, departing with a wave. Once out of sight and earshot, he let out a sigh, readjusted his bag, and checked his scroll again before moving on in the general direction of the ballroom.

Orlan had arrived early enough to lay claim to a place along a wall, near one of the corners. He had already removed his jacket and shirt, leaving them and his bag in a heap for him to lean against. He watched the other students over the top of his sketchbook, not particularly inclined to drink. The large group around the student with the alcohol put him off quite readily, so he was content to study the mechanisms of his weapon once more. He did this often, in an attempt to find ways to improve Axios. Besides, he did not see Cyra around, and had recently seen Liam among those drinking, so there was nobody he had already met to talk to.

NAME: Luca Warren

ABSTRACT: The Silver-Tongued Rogue

DETAIL: A vagrant by nature and thief by trade, Luca prefers to leave his past where it belongs. His focus is continually on the present, and typically on where his next bite to eat is coming from. Though good enough at larceny to easily live well, he prefers that his crime does not draw attention. Often he can be found 'begging' in the streets of Pallhallow, liberating rude men of their coin and letting most, especially those who give freely, pass with but a nod and sad smile. Like any human, he makes mistakes, and is sometimes accosted by the law or angry citizens. In these situations Luca relies on his wit and words to get him out of danger, and is quite proud that he succeeds more often than not.

After reading that post more throughly and actually paying attention to names, I don't think I actually need to ask this. Oops.

Cyra had no response for him, and indeed looked quite shocked at the headmasters words. She looked like her mind was racing, and Orlan decided it best to leave her to it. Before she really recovered, Orlan was bumped into the second time that day. The other first year turned, and Orlan took in his large mismatched eyes with a curious look while he apologized. Shrugging it off, he took Liam's hand and was about to intrduce himself when Cyra bolted.

"I-I-I need to go!"

"Wait! ... See you around, I guess," he calls after her before sighing and turning back to Liam and another newcomer, who had introduced himself as well. "Anyway... My name is Orlan Price. That was Cyra Zylvan, but she seems a little overwhelmed. A pleasure to meet you both," he continued by way of introduction, with his own slight bow. "Unfortunelately, Renji, I find myself in the same boat. I am... not familiar with anything here really."
