(I too can bullshit with ease.)

A warden turns as soon as the door opens and fires a bolt straight into Elliard's gut.

The King grabs Elliard's wrist as he points at him. He yanks the peasant closer and stares him dead in the eyes before speaking again."You, you have no idea what you have gotten yourself into, have you now, peasant?" He asks calmly."I must admit that I never expected for you to be too smart, but I was wrong, very, wrong, you are a complete imbecile. You, and apparently you all alone decided to infiltrate MY castle, in the broad daylight. And from the brief report I received, I gathered that you were armed with a crossbow all alone, which you never reloaded. You did not bother to get to know the place you are going in, nor the people living there, you were threatening my BLIND son, and asking questions from my whereabouts from him. If I were you, I would have prepared in some other manner too, than just stealing a crossbow probably from some poor hunter who, unlike you, is just doing his job. I would have created a distraction to the other side of the castle, something simple like a brawl, before even trying to sneak in, and all this after carefully planning my each step inside the hallways that I would have memorized at first." He lectures the youngster and proceeds to shove him backwards onto the haypile he uses as a bed."After taking all this into consideration, and after having been here, and seen what my children are capable of, there is no way that I could ever accept you even as a bastard of mine." He finishes and shakes his head slowly."You are nothing but a worthless peasant. You claim to be one of the many who want me dead, you might be right. You call me a horrible person, you might be right. But you would never be able to do anything better than I would. If an imbecile like you would be in charge, the dragons out there, those that you, and all the others who want my head, clearly have forgotten of, would turn this city to ashes. INSTEAD of worrying of them, INSTEAD of doing your duty and work for your kingdom to help keeping it safe, providing weapons, food and clothing to the soldiers, to the people struggling to keep your lives going on, you plot on assassinations, rebellions and riots to make sure that my soldiers, that could be spending their time on a lookout for the next dragon, must spread your mobs, gangs and other scum apart. You refuse to keep up the ORDER! And then after I do what I must to return it, I am the villain." He turns around and walks out from the cell."Keep an eye out at him at all times. He might be a peasant, but he already once slipped in before your eyes."

Third post by me in a row to OOC. Nice.

I too remember when I last heard of a cell that has open window for anyone to get in and out from like Ezio himself.

The captain escorted both of the royal children into a firmly guarded room that held only a barred window to see outside, and only one door to enter and leave. Six guardsmen along with the captain positioned themselves outside the door right after checking every corner and shadow from the inside first, a servant stood inside to treat Ramius' and Eline's every wish, those that could be done without leaving the room of course. Rest of the royal guard begun to sweep the castle perimeter in case Elliard was not alone.

Archibaus was informed of the intruder by now. He shrugged it off, it wasn't too uncommon that an assassin would target him or his royal family nowadays. It was only the matter of fact that the assassin was a simple peasant that caught his attention. He stood up from his throne and dismissed his advisers, before ordering four royal guards with him as he went to the dungeon, and entered Elliard's cell. He wasn't really angry, but he wasn't happy either."I came here and expected an assassin." He spoke and looked down at Elliard with his soulpiercing eyes."But instead I found a farmer, and a brat instead. What are you doing here, peasant? Do you not have decent enough life at your farm, is a certain death so much better option?" He kept on speaking without removing his eyes from the boy.

(Wellp, as much as "unfair" it might be, there is logic behind it, since it IS the damn CASTLE of the KING who can at any point have his servants executed for being possible assassins. Also, I think this kind of discussion belongs to OOC anyway, no one wants to read it here inbetween he actual posts.)

Well, if he wins after that, you could say...*puts shades on* It cost him an arm.

"AFTER HIM!" The Captain yells, the Junior Guardsmen charge after the assassin as the Captain turns around and bows his head."Pardon me Young Highness, I must now escort you to your chambers. What would befall on your father should you be harmed?" He states and lands his hand on the hilt of his sword."Not to mention, Young Highness, there might be more of them." He then offers his hand to the Prince, simply waiting for him to reach out so he can take his and guide him to safety.

The castle was remodeled according to the paranoid King's ,mind. leaving no shadowy corners to hide in, no pillars, statues, plants, velvets, nothing to disappear behind to. It did not take long until one of the Junior Guards had the bright idea of go and ring the alarm bell nearby, and in no time the castle was buzzing, the servants locked up into their rooms, and guards filled the hallways. Elliard's escape was soon cut out by halberds and crossbows no matter where he faced, it was now either surrender or die.
