Hi there :D

Newb here, trying to learn the ropes.

Misha's blood froze. She scrambled to the edge of the bank. She could see Destin in the water, but she still wasn't wearing a jacket and knew jumping in herself would probably kill both of them. Still, she had to do something. She felt a wave of guilt wash over her, choking her until she felt her hands shaking. She struggled to her feet and launched herself down the river side, trying to find a shallower slope on the river bank so she could help him. "Destin," she choked, clenching her fists. What the hell is wrong with me?
@Fionraella

Destin's little, cute, adorable body, was ravished by the waves. He hadn't anticipated the rocks, and one hit his side pretty hard. He tried to cry out in pain, but only bubbles came out. Lungs bursting, he kicked his way to the surface, coughing and spluttering as his head breached. "Misha help!" He cries out, before a wave washes over, pulling him back under.
@Fionraella Misha glared at him, her face growing red. She leaned forward. "What the hell are you doing?" She felt a pang of concern, but she doubted he would actually jump. He seemed fairly stable. "You brat," she hissed. "Don't hurt yourself. Don't even think about--" She took an uneasy step forward, ready to lunge if he moved.

Destin looks at her. "You already know I will." He whispers, closing his eyes. He inhales and holds his breath. He was no brat. He was doing this for the group...They needed less mouths to feed. Less people to use up the...burnt herbs... He then leans forward before slipping into the river with a gasp at the sharpness of the icy river.

Misha clenched her fists and scrunched up her nose in a fierce scowl. "So now you just give up? You're going to let all of us useless saps die because it's easier to jump in the river and-" She raised her hands over her head theatrically. "-run!" She growled and crossed her arms, turning away from him until she faced the other bank of the river rather than Destin's sad display. "I don't give a damn. Whatever."

Destin sniffs and looks at her. "What else can I do?" He asks softly, before shifting and crawling towards the river sadly. He lays down next to the water's edge and dips a paw in sadly. "It is easier. Maybe I should just do that." He whimpers and scoots close to the river, about to jump/fall into the river.
[IM SORRY I USED A BAD WORD]

@Fionraella Misha finally caught her breath and managed to right herself. She stared at Destin's slow walk, his hung head. "Destin.." she said slowly, taking a small step forward. Her mind raced with apprehension. The boy's distress set off sirens in her brain as she considered - and fought not to consider - the possibilities of what had happened and what would happen as a result. She frowned, then shook her head. Get a grip, Mish'. "This is a shit time to freak out and run away, kid." She stared at him critically.

Destin shrugs. "We're all going to die now anyway. I literally don't give a shit." He then falls to his knees, wailing. He never EVER swore. Never even said "crap". He buries his face in his hands. "IT was my lantern! I left it and it caught fire and burned all my herbs! And now we're all going to die and it's all my fault. JUST LET ME DIE!"

Misha slowed as she came closer to the river, now able to hear the gurgle and flow of the water. She stopped running and broke into heavy breaths as she tried to draw air back into her lungs. She rest her palms on her knees and took a few deep breaths before stumbling forward. "D- Destin," she said loudly, glancing from side to side.

Destin sighs and sits up, wiping the grass from his face. "I'm over.." He clears his throat. "Over here Misha!" He calls, slowly getting to his feet. He begins walking towards her voice ,eyes on the ground. He knew what caused the fire. And now he had to admit that he was the dumbass who burned all their herbs.
Sacha checks her shoulder in the mirror in her tent. It was red and aching. She exhales, deciding to go see Aya in case of infection. She pulls on a loose jacket and heads out of her tent. "Aya?" She calls out, glancing around the camp. she then notices Grant. "Hey! You haven't seen Aya by any chance have you?"
Misha's legs ached from the struggle in the mud and the race after Destin - both times - but she pushed forward through the forest after him. Between heavy breaths of exhaustion, she called his name. Stupid kid needs to stop running away! she thought, face red from running and contorted into a grimace. I'm just going to fall over and die and my last thoughts will be 'Goddamnit, Destin. Slow down for the old people.'

Destin skids to a stop at the river. "Aya!" He calls, voice shaking. He looks around frantically. He then sighs, not hearing a reply. whimpering, he collapses down next to the river, sobbing quietly. "Please Aya..I need you..." He whimpers, tears rolling down his cheeks. He closes his eyes and buries his face in the grass.

Did she just call him rude? Grant's eyebrow shot up in mild irritation, but he just sighed through his nose and dropped the deer onto the prey pile, "We should probably ask Sasha would she would like us to do. I wonder if she is around camp." He placed a hand on his right shoulder and rolled his neck, trying to work out the pain from carrying the deer earlier. He would defiantly feel that one in the morning.

Amelia grins at him. "Yeaahh. You do that! I'm going to bed. Man pulling that thing is exhausting!" She overexaggerates a yawn as she makes her way back to her tent. "Thanks for the help Grant, just make sure not to take any credit!" She waves and disappears past her tent flap, sitting down on her cot with a smirk.

Misha stood up and threw her hands into the air. "Destin!" she yelled, then cursed herself. She took a deep breath in and broke into a run after him. She struggled to keep a hold on the rage and accusations she was so tempted to submit to, but if Destin - the reasonable one - wasn't being reasonable, she wasn't going to be reasonable, either. She launched herself through the woods after him, ignoring the branches that slapped her as she weaved through them.

Destin, being completely unreasonable runs towards the river. He HAD to see if Aya was there. He didn't give a flying hoot anymore if he got punished. He needed someone, anyone, to talk to. Someone who understood his struggle. Understood how hopeless he felt, how he knew everyone was going to die. And it was his fault. His fault those herbs burned.
@Fionraella Misha's eyes widened. She dropped to her knees with a soft plop and pawed through the burnt remains of the herb store. What the hell? she thought, her face turning to a scowl. She raised her head to look at Destin, who looked a little like he was about to faint from where she sat. "Did someone do this?" she hissed, trying to steady her voice against the emotion building inside of her.

Destin's eyes well with tears. "They're all burnt..." He whispers, taking a staggering step back. "Without...without any of the herbs...I...I cant help!" He turns and runs from the tent. He shifts mid-run and bolts out of camp, heart pounding. No point in being near people he couldn't save...
