He's signing up as a mercenary group.

And why hate me? Taxes are fun when people are paying you, not the other way around.
'Course. Forgot to make a sign-up template, thought I included it in the rules.

Name of Group

Name of Leader

Settlement

Troops and Equipment

Domestic Population (optional)

Starting Bullis

History and Purpose of Group (optional)
The bullis are just for measuring how many soldiers you start the game with. You'll start the game with a full annum's tax already collected.

And no, the Overlord starts with 4k soldiers, but they have a town with 11,000, another town with 5,000, a fief with 50k, another fief with 60k, then 35k, and lastly 4k, but which has a shittone of resources.

I'll be posting the revised Overlord and Church sheets tomorrow night. Got things to do tonight and tomorrow.

EDIT: For the sake of continuity, I'm thinking the game will start after the Bogans have already ravaged the crownlands, with what was posted in the last thread being more less canon, save for the lack of character deaths that happened via random rolls.

Hello, sorry. I'm on vacation as well, and it was an almost eight hour car ride to get to my destination. I will have some opprutunities over the week to post, but if I do not, I am still here. I will get a sheet up hopefully tonight, but if not tomorrow or the following day. In the meantime, I would like to reserve that island in the north, if it is available. If not, the northern cape there would be a nice second, if possible.

It is indeed available, and no worries. I'd only like to start this once everyone is ready and has time for it.

@ Cale: Trust me, nothing you can do will break the game. The Overlord starts with a town of 11,000.

Given me too many points here! I thought we were starting small. Damn, had to redo my whole sheet, so many points!

Last game, people built too small. I expected people to have huge kingdoms when I gave them 60 points. Largest kingdom ended up being only 14 fiefs, while the average had 8. I vastly expanded the points and growth bonuses because otherwise, everyone would literally run out of troops to throw at each other after only a few annums. Besides, Lundland is supposed to be 200,000 sq miles, which is larger than France and the Low countries combined, so there'll be room. In comparison to real life French Dukes, you'll still be significantly less powerful and wealthy.

Hi. A mind boggling amount of effort was put into this; I commend you. I should leave a message stating my interest in potentially joining since it's late and I will be going to sleep right about now, but lest the thread explode overnight or something, I just wanted to have it said. You'll hear from me again when I have something more concrete to post, or if I change my mind after all.

You're making me blush!

No worries, I have no idea how many people are going to be signing up for this, so I think you'll have time. If you need any help with the creation process, feel free to ask.
It starts as Wretched, and yes, it means you can only upgrade to a max of Fair. Wealthy and Magnificent are out of bounds.

Also, I actually do something (for once) that isn't coffee.

But coffee's what you do best.

I adore the history, that's perfectly acceptable.

By my count, you still have a number more points to spend. You've spent 83 so far.

And Baileys/Military Baileys no longer exist. They're being sent out in favour of numerous new manor imporvements, which you'll be able to build in-game.

Have fun on your vay-cay, by the way!
It is per soldier, but there are templates for speeding up the process. If you just want 100 spearmen, then that costs 1000 bullis, and so forth. The arming of individual soldiers is for players who want customised forces.

I'm a grognard at heart. <3
Bullis, but what you buy at creation isn't subtracted from your funds at the game's start. And yes, I do realize it's quite a bit of math, but Fortunes got it nailed there, I handle everything in-game.
