Flooby, then the Fishers have too many fiefs. I don't want it to where people walked about 5 minutes and ended up at another fief, that is extremely unrealistic.

They have 67 points, do they not? As the Stouffers and Vealcooks combined have 33, then the Fishers are able to have that many fiefs. I don't see what you mean when you say that last part, since travel times dictate that it would take 18 hours to cross a fief with advanced infrastructure, 24 with improved, and 48 with basic, plus any additional time created by the number of troops travelling. Certainly not 5 minutes.

EDIT: Would anyone be interested in reading a longer history of Lundland, from during the years when all the lords were seperate, to present day? I could try and incorporate everyone's histories into it as well.
Nope, cannot.

I just need the of vassals so I can make an army divisible by the least common factor.

I can answer that right now; 3. Number of vassals and wealth of fiefs are the only things not randomly decided. Otherwise, personalities, looks, points per vassal, the whole shabang is random. Except their description details, obviously. I write those.

I believe someone asked in here if fertility pertained to fishing and such. It does. Fertility is meant to be general descriptor for how much food a province can provide. House Fisher's land is rocky and shitty, but their two Fair fiefs are next to bays with a lot of fish, so they feed themselves that way.

@ Cale: Your math looks good to me, but I'm mighty tired, so I'll have to check again tomorrow. As for your territory, I can't guarantee you'll get all that land. At the end of the day, I need to make the map fit everyone. But if there's enough room for your land by the time everyone's done, I see no problems with it.

Also, Fortunes is setting up a deal to buy his crops, which we discussed in PM some time ago, if I'm remembering right.

I don't trust myself to get much done tonight, so 'till tomorrow morning/afternoon. I technically have House Cole's vassals done, in that I have all their fiefs, but their Lords details need to be rolled for, receipts and military done, etc.

@ Sadko: I look forward to seeing your army. Do not disappoint Lord Flooby. . .

@ Ulster: After I'm done with Fortunes vassals, I'll be looking over your sheet. Then it's on to Jiwons, then So Boerd's, then Nex's.
[ This be House Behringer's Vassals. A link will be posted on the front page for them. For you old-timers, vassals are now public, to aid in schem- I mean for convenience. I'll finish making it more legible when I return from work. House Cole's vassals are next. ]

Patience, peasant. I have had to make dinner for my family.

Out of curiosity, is it plausible if a kingdom were to have a female ruler instead of a male lord? Say the last lord only had a daughter and he passed away, and she somehow convinced the court to not let any of the greedy vassals claim the throne in her stead.

A female ruler is acceptable, but they won't have as much respect as a male ruler.

@ Sovie: Yes, you can just buy equipment without troops to fill it.

About armies; is there a good reason to have soldiers levied at the start of the game? We already went over that they don't farm and don't pay taxes, so is there any major disadvantage to having mostly token armies until you need them, and then levy en masse?

It would only be wise to have a large amount of levies raised if you were expecting trouble at the game's very start, or wanted to start trouble at the game's very start.

But otherwise, as in the times, there's no need to have any of your soldiers raised if you're not in a conflict.
1 bulli in pay, then upkeep.

Example: Spearman has Spear and Leather Armour. 1 (pay) + 1 (spear upkeep) + 1 (armour upkeep) = 3 per season.

I let you pay your troops in crops, because the troops would likely be more than happy to accept that payment, and because crops have a different value to every player.
